When the name of Ungaroth was spoken you can clearly tell that the guards became even more cautious. "Ungaroth is the name of the Orc Barbarian Chief that has been causing all of our cities problems. If these are associates of his then the King will want to see them. I can guarantee that Lord Hightower will want to talk to them as well since he is one of the most influential members of the council and often give the task of interrogating prisoners since he is a devotee of Oghma the goddess of knowledge and wisdom." As he was speaking one of the guards had begun to search the dead bodies and after finding a parchment in the shirt of one brought it over to the Sergeant. He looked it over before slipping it into his pocket.
"Excellent. Would you like to deliver them to Lord Hightower or should we?" Alan said, relieved they bought into the story. "A wagon might be nice, as this guy is big."
"Aye. Or maybe we can leave them in your custody," Fargrim saud, noting the box wasnt in the area any longer. "The hour is late, and I have drinking to do by morning. You know our employer; it should be easy enough to find us should you have more questions."
"Sargent, we can escort this thug for you if it helps take a load off of for you. Just tryin' to help."Arynn offers. "Hopefully this won't be a huge incident. Also those ones will be waking up very shortly, so best secure them now."
Arynn notices that the paper is a map of the surrounding countryside with multiple colored x's marked in varying places. The sergeant shakes his head at the offer to help with the prisoners. "We can take it from here, You all head on back to Lord Hightower and if you are needed I am sure he will let you know."
(I am curious how you are going to get the hidden box away from here. lol)

Seeing the conversation drawing to a close and none of the party in possession of the chest, Solastor quietly mutters to himself causing his light to brighten and shine forward. He then approaches the guards and stands facing them with the chest and wall to his back.
"Kind sir I would like to take this opportunity to thank you! You see I am not from this land and have been slightly worried for my general safety while about town. The folk here seem well enough but I've seen how quickly that can change and it is relieving to know that you and your guardsmen are upstanding men that do not hold your power over the good people. I've been in places where the guards are hardly better than bouncers and this shining example of you and your men give me hope for such places. You remind me of the knights from my homeland Lordran that is to the remote north. They stand guard without yielding regardless and will always assist those in need who come across their path. They wear silver armor and their tall figures have become a symbol for their upstanding protection and values. It is masterful to see them train with their weapons, mighty bows, sturdy spears, and their shining swords and shields. I will admit they inspired me as a child enough though I could never hope to match their skills. Again sir I thank you for your services tonight and pray that you will be a beacon of light for those that cross your path."
While speaking Solastor is gesturing somewhat wildly, making sure his light flashing back and forth to the whole group as he talks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

distracted by the light they did not see Alan secret the chest on his person and acting a bit embarrassed they made obligatory responses before ushering you all away from the area and sending you back towards the Guild Estate.
Once they had gotten far enough away from the guards, Alan turned to the group, "Haha! Mission one complete. Those men, though... Did you... Did you really need to kill them? I'm no stranger to violence, by any means, but I tend to limit it to the more monstrous variety... Back to the manor, though. We'll bring it up with Hightower, perhaps."
After speaking his mind, Alan slumped a bit and retreated into his own thoughts. His usual carefree and talkative personality much more subdued by recent events.

After making sure Alan managed to grab their target, Fargrim makes haste with the rest of the party to meet up with Lord Hightower. He'll probably want to hear about this turn of events.
"It was not my intention." Arynn says in a fairly angered tone, now that the guards have moved on. "My blows would've been to knock out, but that fool rushed into the blade."
He seems like the anger is more pointed at himself than the others.
Fargrim turned to Alan as he walked. "We were attacked without provocation, and captured those we were able. My only regret is that I did not have time to satiate my axe... or retrieve my rope." Fargrim laughed at the latter thought. He'll need to go buy some more come morning.
"Good job with the distraction and for grabbing the box so smoothly Alan."
"I'm not sure I'll forget those men burning to death anytime soon... They would surely have killed me otherwise though so I thank you Solaster and Arynn for your timely interventions."
"Well we retrieved the box, apprehended some criminals and we all came out of it relatively unscathed. Not a bad night's work I say!"

Arriving back at the estate along the quiet city streets the group enter the guild manor to the sight of light peeping out of the door of Lord Hightower's office on the second floor. A few candles are lit along the walls but otherwise the place is fairly dark. The food that was out earlier is gone and a pitcher of water is all that is left of the drinks.

Upon calling out to Lord Hightower, Howard entered the room from a side room off the hallway leading from the main hall and glared at you disapprovingly. In a highly aristocratic tone he spoke. "I do not know where you were taught manners but this is not acceptable. Either you address any of your concerns to me and I carry it to Lord Hightower or you go politely knock. You do not just yell out to him like he was a common servant!"

Alan just grinned at the man. "No need to get all twisted. I was just excited to report that the mission was a success!" he said, lifting the chest up for Howard to see. "You'll have to teach me some of those manners some time, things are a bit different back home," He added more quietly to the butler.

(My hopes was that I can distract them while helping out so that others can quietly move along and pick it up in a moment.)
Taman bows his head respectfully to the Sargent. He catches a knowing glance from Arynn and intuits his plan to distract the guards.
While trying to appear casual, he looks around to judge if it will be possible to sneakily retrieve the box.
