Sinju, to the right the passage continues into the darkness and you perceive no defining features.

To the left your keen vision makes out what appears to be an end to the passage and the shape of a large door. With a 24 you also notice strange wet markings on the ground leading off in that direction. A closer inspection shows it to be blood.

Tharnak I can not see your roll but I will say alongside Sinju you see the same. 

“Interesting.” Tharnak says. “Got blood here. I propose we go left?”

Sinju knows that whatever is on the right would certainly be something deadly. But he is also curious. What could be down there? Sinju then looks at Tharnak and says, "Yeah, Left seems the less probability of being torn apart"

(OOC: With medicine check, that counts knowledge of medicine, right? Can Aedel do a medicine check to see how recently the blood was shed? If so, Medicine 20)

Aedel with a dirty 20 you can tell that the blood is probably about an hour old. It is damp enough to still exude a bitter iron smell. You can also tell that it is not from goblin kind, being  deep crimson, and something about the smell and consistency says Dwarf.

Sinju and Tharnak are proposing to follow this fresh blood trail off to the left. 

Does anyone object?

I'll say left

Neil has no objections to following Sinju and Tharnak's proposed plan of action.

You all follow the trail of blood to the left and soon come to the end of the passage and a closed door. The sound of screaming can clearly be heard from the inside.

You hear the words, "No please!" being yelled out and then sudden silence.

What do you all do?

Aedel draws an arrow, waiting for one of the stronger folk to enter first.

Tharnak draws his shortsword in one hand and gets ready to open the door as soon as his party is ready. 

Carl readies himself and pulls out his battle axe, it glows faintly purple.  As he’s holding it up, reading to cast a spell with it, you’ll notice a little fine tremor, the dwarf appears nervous.  “Ready!” he whispers.  

Aedel is whispering to his arrow... again...

Sinju readies his spear, and says something to himself in Elvish. Press spoiler if Elvish is one of your languages.

 Sinju will then suddenly go to the door and kick it open, and quickly look around

Perception: 13

Aedel's bow is ready to fire at any moment.

Sinju you slam open the door to reveal a large room with a huge oak table in its centre. The body of a dwarf lies on the floor in front of the table, blood pooling around him.

Behind the table a female Hobgoblin glowers over at you and either side of her, two hulking Bugbears snarl in surprise as the door bursts open. 

"Ha... more adventurers!" the Hobgoblin barks a laugh. "I suppose this means I need to hire more guards! How inconvenient."

What do you all do?

“Oh, shoot.” Tharnak says. He mainly had the sword only in case something jumped him. Instead he unslings his shortbow and nocks an arrow. 

Aedel instantly fires at the hobgoblin. Hit 22, damage 5.
