Marley is torn between wanting to explore the temple more and seeing that everyone else wants to leave as soon as possible. He does a quick archaeological survey of the room, making mental notes for future reference, before reluctantly joining the others.

The half-orc grunts as if he’s forgotten something and makes his way to the bodies of the cultists. Starting with the leader, he picks them up one by one and smashes the haft of his mace into the spot in between their eyes and nose, repeating this until all of them have the upper half of their faces smashed into one large gaping hole. With the girl in Sam's arms the party heads back out to the entrance hall then out the front door. You step out into a well manicured garden, there are flowers and trees and a small pond. The condition makes it look like the temple is still in operation.
Continuing through the garden you see a large tree with 4 eggs underneath.
Sera: "Are those what I think they are? This is bad we got to go now!"
Sera bolts off towards where the stairs should be.
Marley with a 16 arcana. You discover they where trying to create a soul gem out of the girl. Soul gems are often used in rituals that raise powerful undead or summing feinds from the lower planes.
Sam with a non nat 20 you see movement out if the corner of your eye. A green dragon Wyrmling is stocking the group.
Marley's mind is still on the tome he found. "So I think they were trying to use her to create a soul gem," he remarks as he thinks about what he read, not noticing any danger.
Maziara would give space to allow the others to look as they please. Then....
"Let's get out of here. The farmer will be pleased to see his daughter." Maz moves ahead slowly careful to watch for traps or ambushers.
