The horn fits perfectly and it seems to empower the rocking horse as it transforms from a construct to a beautiful unicorn with a golden horn sending out motes of light.
In your mind you hear the unicorn's voice "I am Elidon and thank you for returning me to who I once was. I must depart to rejoin my beloved Lamorna at the Wayward Pool. Before I leave, I can heal if anyone is injured"
In your mind you hear the unicorn's voice "I am Elidon and thank you for returning me to who I once was. I must depart to rejoin my beloved Lamorna at the Wayward Pool. Before I leave, I can heal if anyone is injured"
He seems eager to leave.
Valrieth is surprised by the sudden transformation and then in awe of the beauty and majesty of the unicorn. She stands there with her mouth agape for a moment. Val isn't sure whether everyone can hear the unicorn's words or just her. She glances at the others and asks, "Did you hear Elidon's words?" If no one else could hear Elidon's voice in their head, Val relays what she heard.
It seems a little rude to have a conversation in her mind only, and she tries replying, out loud, in Sylvan: "We are happy that we could help, Elidon! We would like to visit the Wayward Pool, and maybe you and Lamorna could help us in our Quest to restore the true queen of Prismeer. But, for now, we must stay here at Loomlurch. We have defeated Granny Nightshade, and we must rescue all of the kidnapped children before her home collapses."
Val recommends that the unicorn heal Finley first. She would also gladly accept additional healing. (If everyone's HP are correct, Finley is the most injured party member. If Elidon can heal multiple people, Val could also use some additional healing. It's always good to keep the party's main healer at max HP! It looks like Aoife and Ilifir only have superficial injuries at this point, but I think that Elkhorn took > 20 damage during the fight with Granny Nightshade. Hopefully, he won't have to fight anything else, but if Elidon can heal him, we should probably do that just in case.)
(Everyone can hear when Elidon speaks in your minds.)
"I am glad Skabatha Nightshade is no more, but I do not plan to go on a rescue mission. I believe I will spend my days with my mate. I would welcome all of you at the Wayward Pool" says Elidon
Elidon dips his horn and there is a radiant light pouring from it and it heals everyone including Elkhorn. Everyone is healed 18 hp.
Aoife stands openmouthed, staring at the unicorn. "You... wow..."
She eventually shakes her head to clear her thoughts, and half-bows to accept the unicorn's healing. "I thank you, great one. While I would appreciate your help on this mission, you have spent much time trapped here and your mate will have missed you too."
She eventually shakes her head to clear her thoughts, and half-bows to accept the unicorn's healing. "I thank you, great one. While I would appreciate your help on this mission, you have spent much time trapped here and your mate will have missed you too."
Valrieth says, "Thank you, Elidon! Your healing will ensure that we can rescue the rest of the children." She agrees with Aoife, "Yes, it's so sad that you have been separated from your beloved, and I hope that you find Lamorna waiting for you at the Wayward Pool. We will try to visit you there once we finish this Mission."
Before Elidon leaves, Val says, "Maybe you could tell us one thing. Do you know whether there's a fast way from here back to Bavlorna's hut in Hither? We agreed to return there by a certain day, and I fear that the only way we know to get there will take too long."
(OOC: Valrieth suddenly turns into Columbo for a moment. "Oh!. Just one more thing, Elidon.")
Valrieth asks, "Elidon, I don't suppose you can still fly now that you're not a rocking horse? Once we give the signal to distract the guards, we need to get all of us (and these 3 children) over to the south side of this great big branch. Or, really, up to that balcony over there. I don't suppose you could fly us over?"
"Of course, I can fly after all I am an Alicorn, though that would take more than 1 trip. I can also teleport 3 of you to that balcony if that is what you wish" says Elidon in everyone's mind
"Well, uh, could ye do more than three o' us? Not all at once o' course and if'n ye cannae do it, perhaps fly th' rest up there ta it?"Finley asks, "although ah know we've gotta lot ta ask ye for, we could use your help for something even more important than what we're doin' 'ere."He looks over to Valrieth, unsure if he should ask about any more favors.
Aoife smiles at the unicorn. "Wanna help us out really quickly? I know you have to go, but taking us over to the tower won't take you long. You'd be strong enough to take these three kiddies in one trip, right?"
"Yes, I can help but this is the last time." says Elidon
Once the signal is given Will and the children cause a ruckus that gets the scarecrows screaming and the tin soldiers to leave their post at the balcony to L8. Elidon true to his words teleport 3 party members Val, Aoife, and Finley to the balcony and then flies over the rest on his back.
As soon as everyone is safely on the balcony he readies to depart.

While going back into Loomlurch makes Valrieth nervous, she can't help but smile happily at being teleported by a unicorn. Once everyone is up on the balcony, she pats Elidon's shining white shoulder (the highest spot she can reach) and says, "Thank you very much, Elidon."
Since Elidon already healed everyone and got them up to the next area where they planned to continue their search for children much more quickly than they could have done on their own, Val is ready to let him leave and reunite with Lamorna. If no one else tries to convince him to stay, then Val simply says, "Farewell, Elidon! Be safe: Granny Nightshade is dead, but I fear that her poison will continue to corrupt this forest until Zybilna is restored. If we succeed in our current task, we will try to visit you and Lamorna at the Wayward Pool in a few days."
But if Ilifir or anyone else would like to keep Elidon with them until they're done at Loomlurch, Val will do her best to help. She'll remind him of the joy and relief that he felt when they freed him and try to convince Elidon to help them bring that same feeling to the poor, kidnapped children. By doing that, he'll help to undo the harm done by Granny Nightshade.
"look, elidon" ilifir grumbles "i want to get out of this forsaken place too, and im sorry to try and delay you getting back to lamorna, but we gotta help the kids first, and if you dont help we'll have to carry them ourselves, and thats not safe, it doesnt mean much i know, but if you help us out ill owe you a favour" ilifir seems less impressed by the unicorn than the others are, unicorns are rare sure, but not fantastical to him

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

Elidon pauses in thought and then says "Alright I will stay but I must see my mate before leaving Thither. That means after saving these children we will stop by the Wayward Pool" he says the last point in a firm tone
Elidon pauses in thought and then says "Alright I will stay but I must see my mate before leaving Thither. That means after saving these children we will stop by the Wayward Pool" he says the last point in a firm tone
Valrieth is pleased but surprised by her success. She really just meant to encourage Elidon to stay with them while they were in Loomlurch, but it sounds as though Elidon plans to come with them all the way to Zybilna's palace! Her only concern is Finley. If they head to the Wayward Pool before returning to Hither, they'll definitely not get back to Bavlorna's hut in time to fulfill the terms of Finley's bargain. She looks to Finley to see whether he objects to the proposed delay.
