Killian will use the bead to fill their water basin in exchange for the ponchos. While doing so he will look around in the tent for any other items that may be useful for their trek.
"There are several god-birds here." Kazziin tells the group. "If you see one it is indeed a blessing. It can be many sleeps before one graces us with its presence in the skies."
The elf leads Killian towards one of the tents where there is a large hollowed out stone with a trickle of water within it. Beside the "fountain" there are several cured hides and pelts of some creatures and some weaved fabrics that appear to be the pile of ponchos that were mentioned.
P.S. Also back from my holiday now. Will probably be posting slightly infrequently for the first couple of days but will try and get back to normal service this week.
Killian, breaks one of the beads into the hollow stone filling it with water and starts to pick through the pile of ponchos for the group and making sure there is one large enough for Rumble. "God birds you say? what good fortunes have they blessed this place with?" Killian asks

Dark says to Furrel , “I believe you when you say that we need to be more careful with strangers. I mean you no disrespect. You are very different than wolves from my world. First you have language. Wolves cannot speak as far as we know. Most of the people we have met here have been helpful to us. One person had a wolf pelt that was much smaller than your coat. I don’t know how they came upon it but does that mean most wolves are smaller than you.” He says this making sure he has enough distance to dodge should the wolf attack.
Killian is watched by the elf, ensuring he doesn't take more than his quota after he fills the container. He returns to the group with a pile of basic, yet practical, pieces of clothing that provide some shade from the intense heat.
Furrel looks to Dark. "I do not know of any like myself." He says, hit sharp white teeth glistening. "I have never seen another of my kind either. Then again, I have never seen a man that looks like a god-bird."
"Your friend has been chosen by the god-bird?" Kazziin says. "Well he is truly blessed, as he may be taken to the place beyond the land of burning sands. For years we have waited for their salvation, but for naught."
Mara will put on the new clothing and make sure that she is as protected as she can be from the sun. She looks towards Dark as he is said to be related to some kind of creature called a godbird.
Dark says back to Furrel, " I can assure you that I am no god. Back in my world, there are others like me only they resemble to more nobler birds. I have a brother who is an eagle which if you have never seen one is much larger and stronger than me. I have a sister who is a beautiful peacock. That would be a bird with beautiful but mysterious feathers. They are like gods to me. I do wonder about that bird you were talking about. It has to live somewhere. Do you think there are mountains in this world? They would be like giant rocks in the sky."
Killian puts on his new digs, welcoming the protection from the hot sun. looking at the rest of the group, although very different as individuals now seem more like a troupe, traveling towards a greater common goal in these ponchos that all seem to match somehow. His feelings of being a captain on a ship and in charge of a group of sailors flood his thoughts and sparks memories of travels both good and bad. "Well then..." as he directs his attention back to the trio, "What say you show us the direction of that settlement you mentioned before. That is unless anyone else has any other business they would like to conduct first."

Thursday scans the skies with all this talk of godbirds. Worrying that she could be the next "blessed one" she was no more alert than before, no step in this sand was safe. She then throws on her poncho in a flourish. "I have no more business to attend to. I'm ready to head toward the settlement."

"Huh -- wha? Oh! Uh... Sure? Yeah... sorry bout' that. Kind'a got caught up there picturing a female version of Dark, only a peacock."He scratches his head a few times. "What's a peacock?"While awaiting an answer Rumble dons his own Poncho. "Also, wouldn't it be just rocks that 'touch' the sky, Dark? Wait a minute! Are ya like from uhm, um... shoot, what was it? Mumz used to talk 'bout how grandad used to not like this one-..."Rumble snaps his fingers, claps his hands, and then points to Dar. "Now I remember! Yer from the Air Plane, right? Kinda like my grandad is from the Earth one? That must makes us like, uh, cousins right?!" He says excitedly.

Kazziin gestures in a direction that can't really be determined as there is no point of reference where they are. "If you walk for a few thousand paces that way, you'll see the town. Though I warn you, unless you keep your wits about you you'll have nothing left within ten paces of entering. The folk there are thieves in all senses of the word. You have shown kindness by sharing your water, so leave with those words of warning."
Furrel looks to Dark. "Perhaps you can keep that information secret. If people believe you are an avatar of the god-birds, then you may be seen in a better favour."
"We thank you for this advice. I ak glad that we were able to help you with the water and wish you the best of luck in your own travels. Outside of these godbirds are there any creatur3s that we should look out for as we go on?" Mara asked as she finished putting on the desert attire.
Mara nodded but daid nothing as it was truly not that surprising to her. "Thank you. We will be much more prepared to look for such things as we travel.'

Darnell shrugs. He's not really paying attention.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Rumble just nods along eagerly. He does give Killian an odd look when he enters or tries to enter the tent to retrieve the ponchos.
