Binder's Hold and the Problem with the Mine.

Bridgette won't stop, she's just dashing towards the one who dared to impersonate her. She has no intention of letting the fake escape.

Vanja dashes after the fakes through the passwall, yelling, "C'mon, come back here and fight me properly!"

Vanja senses someone moving to her right and can catch them with her move action, there is another person just out side her move distance to the left.  Her choices are to finish moving and use her action on the person to the right or complete her turn using a dash action to catch up with the person on the left.

Gema does something she rarely ever considers doing... She tells the truth. (Oh, she's also dropped the disguise)

"It's not fire, it's a magical bottle of smoke and it's too cover the tracks of a group that murdered Agnir and is intending to blame us for it. Inside you'll find a jawless body of Agnir and a corpse that is a dead ringer to me.

Aegnor will continue to look for the bottle.  He uses Shadow to assist him in his search as his sense of smell will likely take Aegnor straight to it.

Beast Speech, "Shadow find bottle of smoke."  Aegnor takes hold of Shadows collar/fur gently to be led to the bottle."

If found he'll have a piece of cloth ready to plug it unless the cork is there too.

Vanja uses her action to dash to catch up to the person on the left, and then uses Action Surge to attack twice with her Vicious longsword, making a bonus Grappling Attack. "Stop running!"

Attack1: 27 Damage: 12

Attack 2: 20 Damage: 9

The grapple strength DC is 19 plus superiority die of 2

Rerolls for disadvantage:

Attack 1: 11 Damage: 7

Attack 2: 25 Damage: 11

Or is that at disadvantage with the smoke?

Guile follows his allies to pursue the doubles, while ordering his familiar to "locate the bottle" with his blindsight.  Guile moves outside and looks for the culprits Perception (21)

If Guile has a visible target, he'll hurl a fire bolt: 9 Damage: 18

Guile's Arcana: 20 (if still relevant)

OOC - Those were base d20 rolls except for advantage for second roll.  Not sure whats up with the hovering over the roll total.

Vanja: remember you are rolling at disadvantage because you cannot see your opponent.  So you need to roll twice more.  

Guile: the firebolt misses the target that Vanja is messing with (I do love fire bolts since they can be shot blindly, no visual on target needed.)

Gema: your action has been noted and I'm waiting for Vanja's second attack, they I will give you the response from your persuasion roll.

Vanja: with disadvantage both rolls end up 17 to hit.  Both are misses.

After Guile misses with his Firebolt, the person Vanja is facing moves off towards the voices approaching.  The other body in the runs (full round movement) then casts a spell outside of potential counter spell range (Guile recognizes it as Misty Step (bonus action)).

In response to Gema's shouted persuasion roll she hears "We have the area surrounded! Do not move from where you are until we clear this area!"  You then hear the voice say to someone, "Frisca! You're an air specialist, aren't you? Can you do anything about the smoke?"  From afar, a feminine response to the query, "Yes Clay, a Gust of Wind would do it, but I don't have it memorized! It will cost you if you want me to waste a scroll!"  The first voice then commands, "Just do It already!" 

From the sound of it it will take a round for "Frisca" to get within range and find the scroll she is carrying.  So in 2 rounds the Cloud should be cleared.

Aegnor, which scent trail do you want your wolf to follow?  Left, the one who ran off by himself or right, the one who ran towards the voices giving the command?

Aegnor says beast speech, “left scent.”

Have your wolf roll a survival check.

I am using the Dire wolf CON (15 +2) for the savings through.  what I'm using [ roll]1d20+2[/roll]   actual roll:  16

Dire Wolf follows the scent for a bit with difficulty because of the smoke, the scent trail seems to disappear.  Most likely a Dimension Door was used.
