Quentin just starts sobbing again. Well'ard looks unsympathetic and says "Sounds good to me." He picks up a shaking Quentin and pushes him through the portal. Well'ard is clearly relieved when the portal shuts. "Well that worked out well then. Welcome aboard then lad, what is your full name for the records?". Well'ard sits down behind the desk, looking very comfortable and pleased with himself. Well'ard makes no move to take or touch the letter.
The short guard looks at El and says "I see what you mean." He then says to Falkas "Come on pal, time to put you in a nice cosy cell until you clam down"
Elovar looks a little surprised, "Oh, I'm not sure it's a good idea, Ern. You really wouldn't want people to start hearing how quickly you throw patrons in a cell when they're not currently causing any trouble. After all, if someone gets put in a cell when they come to you for help, then you'll soon find that no one brings any concerns to security. Patrons will start trying to handle their situations on their own, which will just lead to bigger security headaches in the future."
If Falkas hasn't made a move for the door, Elovar puts an arm around his shoulder in a chummy manner and says, "I think that my friend will be fine if he could just see his brother, Sinak. Or...at least talk to the person here," gesturing toward the door, "who clearly met with the 'mop boy' recently."
He squeezes Falkas closer in a sort of side hug, saying in an encouraging way, "That's all you need, right? Just a few minutes to make sure that your brother is safe and hasn't gotten lost?"
Ern considers this, does he really want to bother locking someone up. "OK, 1 minute to get himself together while we wait for old blubbers to stop crying and send out his brother or he is in the cells. We cannot wait around all day, thats four guards back here now, including Well'ard, there is hardly any of us left in the casino"

"Yeah, just a moment. We can wait here to see if he comes out all right then?" Falkas asks, staring at Ern, "There's really only four of you guarding this whole place? That can't be true, can it? There's got to be at least, what? Six of you?"

Elovar says sympathetically, "Oh, yes, I understand, Ern. I'm sorry to impose on your time, and we really appreciate the assistance. But I wouldn't want to get you in trouble. If you need to get back on the floor while the tournament is going on, I definitely understand. Just leave us with one of the other guards so that they can escort us back to the guest area once we're reunited with his brother." He's trying to strike the tone of a friendly but clueless aristocrat: someone who is accustomed to being treated well and who also assumes that bringing 3 guards was a sign of respect, not a security precaution.
(Elovar's default style of persuasion is to pretend that you already want to do the thing that he wants you to do and then support that course of action and agree with you that it's a good decision. 😇)
Ern thinks about this "Well I guess you are right. It really doesn't need three of us and the floor will be pretty light. Go on you two, off you go. I can handle this and Well’ard is just behind the door". The other two guards leave and go back to the main floor. It is just now you two and Ern.

First is first, where’s the bathroom! Always the first point of business. Do they have nice food here? I’ll get right to cleaning if you’re ok with it sir. Need a keycard. And a timesheet. Uhhh, anything else I should know? Anything to watch out for as I’m cleaning?” Sinak starts to arrange his things, looking around the office, taking everything in.

Well'ard puts an employee card on the table, alongside side the card he puts 10 platinum. "Yeah, in charge. I bet that TR told you that right. Something along the lines of Quentin being demoted and me being the new manager. And being the new manager I am in charge of bonuses, like these 10 coins right here. So just make sure you let everyone know that those orders come from TR, all legitimate and everything OK. Err, did they mention anything else that got Quentin into trouble?"

Sinak pauses in putting the document away, bringing it closer to Well’ard. “So, yes, you’re right, all from TR!” As he says this, he picks up the employee card and the 10 platinum coins, putting them in his pouch. “I’ll pass it along, …boss.” He drags that out a little, with a smile. After getting the seal closer to him for a minute or two and reading his reaction, he finishes putting it away in his backpack. “So, other thoughts. Ole Athanasios in TR said that we need to modify that silly sign out front of the casino. This is the afterlife, an artistic representation of Hell, that also functions as a casino. Of course they support bribery, corruption, and cheating! What do you think they want us doing here, that’s their forté, dammit, a little bit of dirty dealing here and there. That’s what they said in TR. Oh, and you and your crew can go on more breaks. Relax a little. Burnout (not literal, mind you), have you ever heard of it? TR is very focused on preventing burnout. You should give more shifts time off, allow them to see the falls or the animals, getting away for a little “me” time, if you know what I mean. Regular, extended breaks for your staff. Just another suggestion. Longevity, that’s the ticket. Don’t burnout, Well’ard. Welp, if you have nothing else for me sir, I’ll see about starting to clean. Also, some of my friends are here, and my brother Falkas. I want to go tell them I got the job! They should be nearby, can I go find them? Also got to find where I left my mop. One last thing. I know this place is alarmed and monitored and so forth. I don’t want to set off any with my moppin’. Can you tell me where to watch out for, so that I don’t muck anything up?”
Sinak nods to Well’ard, giving him a mock salute, gathering his things and then opening the door to leave, unless he has further business with Well’ard.

"Yeah burnout sucks. I mean why are we trying so hard to stop pick pockets anyway. No one thanks us. Err here is the new starter pack, it includes a map of the casino. Your card should get you through most doors, except the volt of course. Now water is real trio hazard around here so get mopping. The guards will be lighter until we get a replacement for me.
