Elaydren takes the violin carefully in both hands and examines the damaged part. In that moment all the others are already leaving the room. "It's a beautiful instrument. Violins bring me sweet memories; I used to play it when I was younger, you know?" she says as sets the violin down on the table. "Let me see what I can do!"She opens a small shoulder bag, that was hidden below her cloak, takes out two gems that look like tourmalines or topazes, and places them on top of the violin, in a precise vertical line. She starts to speak a few sentences as if she were reciting a poetry, barely audible but in a tone sufficient to realize that it is not any language known to you. The first stone turns into a dark yellow powder that begins to burn and spread across the neck of the violin, which becomes embered. The second stone turns into dark brown dust that follows the trail of the first, putting out the fire and leaving in its wake drawings as if they were the veins of a tree in an accelerated growth process. All this happens very quickly and when it is finished, a few minutes later, Rylia receives the violin from Elaydren´s hands completely restored. "I think you'll need to fine-tune it."She smiles sympathetically. "Now I suppose you need to go. Your friends are waiting already"
Update: As Elaydren cast her spell, Rylia could see that she had the dragonmark of making on the inner side of her left wrist.
Rylia watches closely as Elaydren takes her viol and examines it. "Really? You played yourself? That's wonderful." But her words are almost afterthoughts as the woman begins her magic to repair the instrument. As she examines the repaired viol, Rylia is in awe. "That was amazing! What sort of magic was that? Where did you learn such things?" She plucks at the strings and finds that indeed the instrument is quite out of tune. She starts to twist at the pegs near the scroll of the viol as she lightly plucks each string. "This is as good as new! Can't even tell it was ever damaged!"
Once she seems satisfied, she grabs the bow from her case and tightens it. She then slowly draws it across the strings, as though testing it. "Yep, sounds just the same!" She quickly plays what sounds to be a portion of a very sprightly dance, then stops. "Thank you very much Lady Elaydren!" she says exuberantly. She then packs everything up, slinging her case over her shoulder.
Arriving at the apartments, Rylia quickly slips into hers. She's only in there for a minute or two before emerging. She heads over with Bryn, offering to help him pack up his things.
"I come from a long line of sourceres, young lady and you know, we're the House of Mark of Making, we're good at making things and fixing things," says Elaydren as she listens to Rylia's short essay. "You play well!"
After that, Elaydren gives you 300gp, you all say goodbye and leave going to the appartments of Bryn and Rylia. //--- DM #inventory +100gp for expenses and 200gp in advance for the work ---//
The day is clear and its virtually cloudless. The journey to and from the apartments goes smoothly.
//--- DM Please get me a perception roll---//
Those with a roll of 12 or higher get a lot of stares at Bryn and Paladin (and anyone carrying weapons in plain sigh).
Around half hour after leave Bryn´s house you see the sigh of the House Civis Enclave. You arrived!
Noticing the looks, Rylia nudges Bryn with her arm. She speaks quietly to him, "Might want to make those weapons less obvious. But... not quite sure how you do that." She shrugs, not really having an immediate plan. "We'll have to think about it."

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
In response to Rylia's comment, he shrugs. "Yeah, I see them looking, but this is Sharn. Everybody carries weapons. If anyone really wants to question us, we'll just tell them we're an adventuring group with one of the guilds on official business that we are not at liberty to discuss, blah blah blah..."
Paladin makes a point to wave to people. "It's not about the weapons, it's about the fear. Help people to feel at ease, and those same weapons will make them feel safe." Paladin waves at more strangers.
Braxiel will hear the discussion and look up from the journal but is not truly surprised that people are staring. Since he is so tall and thin, people tend to stop and stare, so he giggles to himself and looks back at the journal.
"Brother Coltinar, you can say what you want about us being allowed to carry weapons," Rylia says. "But as you just pointed out to Paladin, it would be better to alleviate others concerns - something mere words are unlikely to accomplish. After last night, I'd think we'd want to do what we can to avoid unnecessary attention. Anyhow, something to think about later. It seems we've reached our destination."
At their arrival at house Sivis, Arr takes Elaydren's note out of his pack. Armed with the note, they ask the first person they meet, "We need to speak with Solirion Torralyn d'Sivis. Where can we find them?"

Brother Coltinar nods to Rylia, "It's a give and take to a degree. The need for weapons was demonstrated by the attack on us last night. While I don't plan to brandish my weapon at the citizens, I will keep it handy just in case our assassins are bold enough to strike during the day. If I can do that and carry it discretely, I am ok with that. If not then the citizens will need to manage their fears. I am not forcing them to watch me. They are free to remove themselves to help minimize their own stress."

The way back between Bryn´s apartment and House Sivis goes through the Middle Tavicks ward, where Dancing Shadows, the District Inn is, and now in daylight, you can see in more detail the surroundings of the Broken Anvil Tavern. Tavick´s Landing is the most eclectic quarter of Sharn, blending residential areas with commercial and entertainment districts that cater to the traders, travelers, and tourists who pass through the city. You pass in front of the Orien lightning rail station and you can see hundreds of travelers going in and out.
Tavick's Landing
Tavicks Landing – At the eastern edge of the city. It is in some ways defined by being the terminus of the Orien lightning rail line and trade road. The lower levels cater to travelers and traders entering Sharn by rail and include an entire city district that has been converted to provide housing for refugees from the Last War. The middle and upper levels are broader in their purposes, including a variety of trades, services, and residential districts. For most travelers, Tavick's Landing is the gateway to Sharn., and many more arrive via the Old Road at Wroann's Gate. During the Last War, foreigners were carefully monitored as they entered the city, and even today the effects of the war can still be felt.
//--- DM I get your Religion Roll (game log) ---// After crossing the Soveiring Bridge, you arrive at the Central Plateau, in the Temple District area. On the right, you see a beautiful and tall tower. Coltinar, anxious to quickly arrive the destination, is distracted and does not recognize, but all the others recognize it as the Sovereign Host Temple. You continue your way left along the promenade towards the Guildhall district, looking for the Dragon Towers. Paladinlooks down through the guardrail and, realizing that it is not possible to see where that chasm ends, remembered when an impulse made him jump over the bridge last night, forgetting about the dangers of falling in Sharn.
Central Plateau is a Middle-Class region. Coltinar, Ryliaand Brynnotice that some people are looking at those who are carrying more visible weapons. They look around and, apart from a few guards from The Watch, they don't see anyone visibly armed, as is common to see in other parts of the City. Rylia suggests that they should keep the weapons more discreet, but Coltinar and Paladin make a point that people should know that weapons can make them safest. Coltinar remembers reading some guidance in the Dol Arrah temple about laws prohibiting the carrying of weapons in some areas of Sharn, but he doesn't remember exactly what those areas are.
Turning one corner, an elf walks between R4G3and Bryn, and purposely bumps into the Warforged. "Watch where you walk, you can, or go back to the forge you shouldn't have never left", says the elf as he goes on his way.
Central Plateau
A long wall rings the Central Plateau at its lowest level, interrupted by towers along its entire length. Inside the wall, structures rise higher and higher toward the tallest towers near the middle, creating a great artificial mountain at the heart of the city. Mostly populated by the upper and middle classes, the Central Plateau houses the city's seat of government, its wealthiest citizens, and its finiest businesses. Embassies from other nations, important representatives of the dragonmarked houses, and banks are found here as well.
When you reach the northernmost part of the Central Plateau, you soon see a set of tall and imposing Towers and the signage indicating that you are in Dragon Towers. R4G3checks the letter given to him by Elaydren and looks for some signs with the indication that was given and soon finds: "Sivis Enclave - Sivis Tower"
At the entrance to the Sivis Tower, two humans much more stronger than an average human, one on each side, guard the door about 16 to 20 feet that opens onto a large hall with a reception desk on the right and, in the background, dozens of booths and small individual rooms. //--- DM---// - You can roll perception or investigation at this point to get additional information - please indicate what specific aspect you are looking for - Before you left the tavern, Elaydren delivered you 100gp for expenses and 200gp for advance. When you arrive at the reception a young gnome sympathetically welcomes you asking where do you wanna go. Upon hearing from R4G3 that they are looking for Sir. Solirion Torralyn d'Sivis, she communicates with someone and a few minutes later says:
"Sir. Solirion will receive you. Are you all togheter? Those who will get in have to leave their weapons over there, please."And she points to a counter on her right where there is a Warforged receiving and guarding a longsword from an Elf who heads towards the background of this big hall.
Paladin will leave his weapon behind with the warforged receptionist, although he looks a bit worried. He's not done well at finding his way around, and is concerned that he won't be able to find his way back here.
