Brother Coltinar flags down Savine or Cetus or an available attendant to inquire about directions to the Forge from here, "We are planning a trip to the forge today and we are in need of a map or directions if any are available? If you could point us in the right direction and help us out it would be greatly appreciated."
Brother Coltinar also offers a tip to their attendant for breakfast in an appropriate amount for their food and beverages based on what their cost would normally be even though they are being paid for unless the tip is included also.

"Yes, Lady Elaydren said she would be sending instructions for us? Perhaps it is in this morning's deliveries?"Bryn says as he thinks back on their encounter with their new patron.
"Oh! My apologies! We have no message other than the one I've already given you." Savine responds to Bryn. "But let me see the directions (assuming you show Elaydren's note or give the directions that are in it)
"Oh yes! The Cannith Forgehold! This is in Ashblack.” (Assuming you show the notes to Savine or at least give her the information on it)
Savine gives you a curious gaze as if expecting some explanation for why you would like to go to such a place, though she knew she would receive no explanation.
"I've never been to these parts, but I know the journey can be quite lengthy. Unfortunately, there is no direct public transportation available, and hiring a Skycoach directly could be very expensive, moreover, most drivers don't accept trips to this part of the city.
"Hummm... One option is to take the lift from here to Sharn's Terminus, which is located in the Lower City. From there, you can look for public transportation that will take you to Upper Cogs or even straight to Ashblack.”Savine is silent for a few seconds, drumming her fingers on her lips. “I'm not sure if there will be public transportation available going there,” she says, after all. “Maybe there is. Anyway, it might be best to try to catch a Skycoach. Drivers from the Lower City are more accustomed to this area.
I am really sorry we werent being able to assist you better. This is not an area we typically frequent. I hope this information helps you in some way. Certainly, there, you can try to get more accurate information." Savine says, in the most sympathetic tone she can.
Bryn nods as Savine describes their options. "OK, so we can take the lifts down to Terminus in Lower Tavick's Llanding, and then see about hiring a carriage to take us further down to the Ashblack district in The Cogs. We may even get lucky and find a skycoach or perhaps some hippogriffs for hire and fly directly to the Cannith Forgehold! So, if everyone has finished their breakfasts and are ready, let us begin the next part of our adventure!"
"I like to think eating is like... Painting, inside your stomach. And the more extravagance people enjoy, the better the paint. I don't really know though. What do you think?"
Rylia nods to Savine, "Don't worry about it at all! You've done so much for us and I'm sure we'll find our way." She then turns back to Bryn. "I agree on taking the lift to Lower Tavrick's Landing. Surely there'll be someone there to direct us to The Upper Cogs. We just need to go and see." She hesitates a moment. "I suppose after the Cannith Forgehold we'll continue along with our mission? I mean, get a start on it from there."
Braxiel will step up, "I have read many books on the layout of this fine city and I can assure you the right way to go, as for funds for travel, I am not short on coin and I am more than happy to pay our way."
As bid you farewell, Savine kindly offers you some basic maps of the city. "If you believe they may be helpful, I have some basic maps. Even if they may not be very detailed, they can provide you with a rough idea of the distance and location of different districts," She says. "I wish you a safe journey and hope to see you again soon! May Oladra accompany and protect you!"

Rylia thanks Savine as they depart, making sure to hang on to the maps. "We can probably just walk to Tavrik Market. As much as I appreciate your willingness to pay our way Braxiel. I would think it easier to get fog directions once we're in the Lower City."
As the group walks along, Rylia glances at the maps. "Oh!" she says, pointing at the Lower City map. "There's a place called Cogsgate! You suppose that's how to get to The Cogs?"
She steps over to Braxiel, who seemed most knowledgeable about the city, and points to the ward on the map.
Recalling the books he reads about Sharn, Braxiel remarks that, to his knowledge, Cogsgate is a district of Lower City while The Cogs is the level beneath the Dephs.
The Cogs exists beneath the lowest residential areas of Sharn (the "Depths"), and includes ruins of older versions of the city, natural caverns, and some pockets of lava flow. These conditions are used to power the forges of industry, and a large amount of workers commute into its depths every day. The “civilized” parts of the Cogs (called the “Upper Cogs”) are divided into 3 districts: Ashblack, Blackbones and Khyber's Gate
Cogsgate serves as the primary residence for most Cogs workers and may be a rough place. Ore from Zilargo and Karrnath is carted down the long tunnels into the darkness, but Braxiel lacks information regarding the routes between Cogsgate and The Cogs.
Arr have been silent as they contemplate the upcoming visit to the forgehold where they said that they would be revising their functions. Now it turns out that first they have to find their way.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Leaving the cozy ambiance of the Broken Anvil, the group steps out onto the vibrant streets of the Dancing Shadows in Middle City Ward. The early morning sun casts a warm golden glow over Sharn, bathing the bustling city in a lively radiance. The air is filled with the hum of activity – some open shops and passersby strolling, despite being a Sul (Sunday). Navigating through the labyrinthine streets, you find yourselves amidst a delightful chaos of harmoniously blended colors. The architecture ranges from elegant spires adorned with ornate decorations to narrow alleyways teeming with life.
Following the signs, you easily make your way to Tavick Market. The district's entrance is marked by a grand archway, adorned with intricate carvings that depict scenes of trade and commerce. Stepping through the archway, you enter a bustling plaza filled with merchants hawking their goods in a kind of fancy artisanal fair and shoppers examining their wares, in a general hustle and bustle of a vibrant marketplace. Around the square, several doors lead to a large commercial tower where you can see a lot of different shops, most of them closed.
Your attention is drawn to a peculiar-looking platform nearby – the lift. It consists of two large blue discs with silver runes and is enclosed by a very thin transparent wall that appears to be glass but is indeed a protective energy barrier. One goes up, and the other goes down. It stands like a sentinel, ready to transport travelers to the different levels of the city. The mechanism is intricate, a blend of arcane energy and mechanical ingenuity that epitomizes Sharn's technological prowess. There's a small line of three individuals – a human with a child and a dwarf – waiting to pass through a kind of laser turnstile where they can use a magnetic device or deposit coins. A sign shows that the fare is 5sp x pax to descend to the Lower City and is free to ascend to the Upper City, and indicates that each elevator can carry 10 people max.
As you approach the lift, a sense of excitement and anticipation fills the air as you realize that you are indeed beginning a journey that promises new experiences, challenges, and discoveries, with a bunch of individuals, some of whom you had not even met two days ago.
(Don't worry and enjoy your vacation, cyreon. We will try to keep Arr alive 😅)
The market in Tavick's Landing was always a place of wonder and excitement for Bryn. The shouts of the vendors, the multi-colored swirls of fabric and lights and sometimes magical smoke, the excited chatter of shoppers, the laughter of children, the smell of breads and meats cooking over small grills, and softly filling all of the space between these sensations was the ever-present lilt of music from the many street performers. He had started out here, just inside the city and the one of the busiest areas, where new travelers often experienced Sharn for the first time as they exited the lightning rail here.
As they walked through, he can't help but smile - it is a beautiful day in the City of Towers, he is about to embark on a new adventure with his new friends, and he is with his best friend in the world! He picks out a nice scarf for Rylia - not silk, but still a smooth and light fabric dyed a brilliant green with silver threads worked throughout. "What do you think, Ryl? For you, I mean...not for me!"
Approaching the lift, Bryn pulls out two gold pieces. One he offers to the human with their child as he smiles and says, "May the Sovereigns smile upon you this day!"The other he uses to pay for Rylia and himself.
As lovely as the morning walk is, the air is a bit brisk with the light top Rylia had chosen for the day. She only has to think about wrapping her cloak a bit more tightly about her for warmth, when the cloak hugs a bit more closely of its own accord. This brings a smile to her face as she takes the sights of activity in the city.
When Bryn suddenly is showing her a scarf, she is a bit taken aback. 'He's buying me gifts now?' she thinks. Though flattered, she's also strangely nervous at the attention. She tries not to show it though as she quips, "Not for you Bryn? But it matches your wonderful green eyes!" She gives him a light laugh. Of course, she is easily persuaded, after all the green matches her eyes as well!
As the towering platform of the lift comes nearer, she can't help but study it with fascination. She was not much for mechanical aspects of such a contraption, but the arcane energy that went into feeding the workings was quite interesting. 'Not something I'd ever do - far too mundane for me. But imagine the arcane work that goes into making this work!' she thinks. While she's contemplating all this, Bryn has offered the human a coin to pay their fee, as well as paying his and hers. But it was his words offering the blessing of the Sovereigns that caused her to raise a brow. She seems a tiny bit confused as she studies his face. But the moment passes. "You really don't have to pay for me Bryn. I can get the fee for the two of us next time."
(Didn't we get a map showing us where to go for these places? I think Bryn is holding on to it - from Skyrin?)
Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
