The Guild - Game Thread

A great white wolf approaches Devarus and sniffs him. HE then wiggs his tail welcoming him.

The wolf then joggs towards the town and reaching it he assumes his elf form again and asks for directions to buy some healing potions. He then goes to the near forest, or tree gathering nearby and will look for a suitable piece of wood to make himself a quarterstaff.

Runt approaches the new guy. Though small for a half orc, or anyone in general, she cuts an imposing, yet beautiful figure. Her pale green skin and soft facial features betray her harsh orcish bloodline.  She gives the drow a hard once over look.

What does our new friend look like ?

What steps out on shaky legs is indeed a half-drow. One aged and lanky from the lines in his face and tall figure. For his apparent frailty at first, his quick recovery and physique bespoke of a spryness yet taken by time. But its clear from his weaponry and leathers that the dusk skinned man preferred mobility and range in part because of it; befitting more the elven blood shown in still sharp blue eyes, pointed ears, and stark white hair kept short.

"Hey there, big guy." Devarus smiles toothily a smile that might've sent hearts a flutter in youth, and attempts in ignorance to try petting the wolf aside the snout. "An awfully friendly friend you all have there." He says as the wolf leaves, smiling even at the hard looks from some. "It is my honor and pleasure to meet you all." He bows formally.

Val, you can easily find a place to buy potions in town. As usual, a potion costs 55 GP. There are no forests anywhere near Drynia though so you might want to consider trying to buy a quarterstaff instead.

Gendan wears her hood up, but her bright red hair flicks out. Another half-elf, she thinks as she looks him up and down. Bet I could beat him in a duel. She walks away without speaking to him. 

Gendan would like to buy dragon plate before leaving. What are her options?

Valwarin allows the hañf-drow pet him. He has liked his smell and he seems a good guy.

A few minutes later, on his elf form he asks the merchan of potions 

"How many of them do you have? asks Val to counting his money " And, do you know where I could buy a quarterstaff too? "

Val, the merchant says, "I got crates of them. How much do you need? Also if you're looking to get a quarterstaff, I suggest visiting the armorer."

Gendan, Dragonplate comes in different colors based on what type you want resistant too. Regardless of what type you pick, it will cost you 2200. So you can pick any one type that you'll have resistance to and you'll be given a plate that's colored accordingly. You do not have the option to pick: Force, Bludgeoning, Piercing and Slashing, Psychic and Thunder as your resisted type.

Gendan will get Red Dragon Plate, and will sell her used chain mail.

Are you sure? You have the orb that gives you fire resistance and the two sources of fire resistance won't stack.

(Yes, I plan to get rid of the orb. It occupies a hand and requires attunement, which I would rather save for another magic item.)

Alright. Gendan, the chainmail is in a really bad condition so it will sell for scraps. The Shopkeeper takes your 2200 gold and gives you a bright red armor made of metal shaped like the scales of a dragon. Feel free to describe how the armor looks because the blacksmith will have to make some adjustments to the armor to make it fit perfectly. He won't mind throwing in some cosmetic changes for free while he's at it.

He also offers to give you 12 GP

“Deal.” (I will have to give the additional design some thought if you’re okay with retconning that.)

Devarus sticks around at the carriage, having little in the way of personal wealth yet, and even less of an idea on proper supplies. If Runt gets ready to go as well, he tries asking with a look if he had done something wrong to Gendan. 

Valwarin gives 440 gp in exchage for 8 healing potions and will head for the armorer where he will buy a couple of stash of 20 arrows and a quarterstaff. 

Once they go back to the carriage the druid will give the rest of the party 2 healing potions each. 

(Note: If Elsara is going to stick with us as a semi-NPC he will buy 10 healing potions for 550 gp total ) 

@Gendan Retconning is my friend an the designs are purely for looks. You can take as much time as you want before deciding.

@Val, Elsara will stick around for this mission. Your total is 551 GP 3 SP 3CP. Don't bother with editing your character sheet I'm making the necessary adjustments.

EDIT: Val, did you always have the 8 healing potions or did you add them?

(OOC: Never added them, as he will give them away 2 to each party member... I was waiting on your confirmation to add his 2 potions :) Thanks!) 

(Wait, then why did your character sheet have 8 potions already? Is it a mistake of some kind or do you really have 8 of them even before buying? You know what, forget it, I'm going to rule that Val already had 8 potions. Do you still want to buy more since you already have 8? I am happy to refund your potion money if you choose to not buy any)

Runt would like to buy some potions and see if there is a magic item shop.

There is. It sells the following rarity and following item types:

Common: Rods, Staffs and Wands, potions, Wondrous Item
Uncommon: Armor, Weapons, Rings
Spell Scrolls: Up to Level 2

Runt would also try to find someone who is able to forge the dragons tooth she took into a mighty weapon.

And would like pricing on both +1 2handed hammers and +1 1 handed hammers.
