"I say that we burn down the whole place. If the creature goes outsied trying to escape we finish it." Val says in elvish to Deva and Elsara. Just to try to avoid the creature to understand them if is eavesdropping them.
Devarus grimaces. "A tempting prospect, and certainly an option for if all else fails." He admitted readily enough without averting his attention too much. "But, we still know too little about about this whole 'madness' in general. Is this place yet the birthplace of its revival? Or just another, more specialized "testing" grounds. We have to try to be thorough enough to find these clues, least we remain in the dark." He forewarns Val before regarding Runt and Gendan.
"Room clear? If so, we should move on to the next one in the line. If it doesn't come out of its own accord soon, then at the very least we can gather our clues before going with plan Scorched Earth."

" It sounds like a good idea, but leaving now can give teh creature the chance to escape us, and in no way we are going to split again. It's too dangerous.. "
The east-most door on the north wall was up next. Opening it reveals a large bedroom with dressers, a desk and a large single bed. There is a painting on a wall of a grim looking man in a suit. He has a mustache, a beard and is wearing a black hat. He is also holding a cane. On the desk are various rotting papers. There are three drawers in the desk with the top one being locked. However, given the age and the flimsiness of the lock, a good pull from Runt would be more than enough to force the drawer open.
Gendan is willing try her hand at the locked drawer, as well as the rest of them. If a good tug doesn’t open it, she rummages through her belongings for her Thieves’ tools. (Runt would have adequate time to interrupt with her own tug at this point.)
The lock is old and flimsy. Gendan gives the locked door a good tug and with a pop the drawers slides out. It seems to contain some manuscripts of a unfinished story the guy was writing, some random lists from ages ago, a pouch of 100 GP and a key.
Devarus remains similarly as on guard as Val. But what call out in a stage whisper to Gendan and anyone else to enter the room, "If you're quite done in there, perhaps we see to these last two doors? Even if its nonsense, do take anything that could give us insight into this place or people that won't fall apart on us."

Gendan tries to thumb through looking for anything interesting. She's not particularly into this sort of investigation (she prefers finding shiny stuff). As she discards the papers, she passes them towards Elsara.
The papers seem to be damaged and hard to read but from what that can be read, they seem to be various receipts for large orders of seeds, fertilizer and feed. They are quite old. It suggests that the large farm was at some point blooming with crops and cattle.

Unfortunately even with advantage, Deva doesn't detect the presence of any creatures around him. He has no idea where the abomination went.

So with this room cleared, which room is Runt going to open next?
"Hey, if we can't see it, maybe we should go to the kitchen. They might have some flour we can throw over the surfaces." Elsara suggests.
Val nods to Devarus and replies to Elsara

Waiting on Gendan to pick a door.
Gendan motions to the next closest door in the hallway. She walks over to it and tries the knob.
(Sorry for the delay. It’s been a hell of a work week.)

While the others investigate Val keeps an eye for the creature to appear, an arrow notched.

“Can you read them?” Asks the Druid without really looking at the papers but keeping watch
