On the back of a muttered curse Dezarus closes the door and practically storms his way towards the far eastern door across the hall, not even remotely concern in the heat of the moment of whether or not anyone among the group were following at this point. He only begins to lose steam upon reaching it, and after taking a second to compose himself, again braced himself to be attacked as he opened it for a peek beyond it.

The moment Deva opens the door, he is hit with the stench of rot. Beyond is a dark room lined with shelves for keeping food. The shelves are well-stocked with bread, vegetables, meat and spices but they are all in different stages of rot. The vegetables are soft and wilty, the bread is moldy, the meat is infested and the spices... actually the spices are still high quality and in great condition!

Val keeps watch out the window. The weather seems nice. The town is quiet. He doesn't notice anyone outside. Elsara stands around closer to the back entrance though no one tries to pass her.
What does Deva do after being (metaphorically) attacked by the food storage room?
After taking maybe close to a minute just taking a breath and getting over the embarrassment of having been needlessly thorough, Devarus makes his way back to the kitchen. Just before making that point to open that final northern door all ready to for some excitement suddenly waiting on the other side, the old guard pauses a for a second, and looks back again to the ovens. Dev then can't help but hustle over and make sure the stoves weren't active.
But afterwards, it's right back to that northern door from the kitchen with shield fairly raised and look of determination on his face before opening it up and taking a peek about the place.

Past the kitchen doors is a large rectangular room with a big dining table in the middle of it. Chairs line the table on either sides and on the two ends. This table is large enough to sit 12 people. There are clean plates and cutlery laid in front of each seat. It's like someone prepared the table for dinner time not too long ago. a long red table cloth covers the table and goes all the way down to the floor. On the north side of the Dining hall, close to the west wall is another door. On the east and west dark wooden walls of the dining room you see frames holding paintings of a man of elven descent with long black hair. He wears an azure cape gloves and golden armor over dark beige clothing. He has sabatons to match his armor that he is wearing over dark brown pants.

Below the table Val sees 5 skeletons but these seem to be of children. Three of them are wearing tunics and pants while two of them are in dresses. Just like the guard skeletons and the chef skeleton, these are on the floor and they do not move.
"Seems we're expected... or mayhaps more important guests might've been, uh... anticipated." Devarus says softly as he circled around the table while analyzing the spread. "The former is perhaps something to expect, and dare I say, would strangely be far more welcome than the latter option... Either way, we need to continue. Preferably before its 'dinner time'." Devarus proceeds to the next door much less tense, but still wary enough to look back and make sure the others appeared focused enough on his actions before opening the door for a look about the next room/potential hallway.

Beyond the door, Deva finds the main hall, large room. The main entrance that the party had seen before they circled around to the back would have led to this room, as they see the same main doors to the building on the west wall. On the east is a wide set of stairs that leads to a small mid-floor section and then further stairs lead to the second floor. On the wall of the mid-floor section is a large stained glass mosaic design seeming to depict the same black haired elf.
On the north side of this large hall is another set of double doors.

Devarus nods and makes a move towards it. But just before opening it, he'd look back and gesture to the stairway, then to Runt, and then to his own eyes. Of course whether she understood any of that or not is another story in itself. Nonetheless, it was all the time he dared spare to convey his wish before taking the plunge and opening the northern door at Valawryn's original suggestion.

Deva opens the door to find a large prayer room that stretches east to west. There are two rows of pews with 4 benches each going all the way up to an slightly elevated dais on the east side. Beyond the dais is a small alter and in a large alcove in the east wall is a 10ft marble statue of the same elven man from the paintings.
The north wall is lined with three large windows that bring in the golden evening light from outside. Against the east wall is a large shelf and a cabinet that's locked via padlock. The shelf holds a few books some small statues and different plates and containers used for religious practices and candles. Against the north wall close to the stage is a large piano. Against the south wall to the east side is a cellar door that's also locked with a padlock.

"Not the progress I suspected, but progress all the same." Devarus remarks quietly as he explored the room until he came close to the altar. At which point he'd examine the statue there more closely, if only to confirm not only if the elf was the same as the other, but if the resemblance to Vlad was too striking to ignore.
(@Zulk: Don't know if you need a check or anything, but feel free to roll one on my behalf if one is necessary)
If it can be helped, he refrained from touching it. But after all is said and done, he'd look to the others and motion them over to the cellar door. "Don't suppose any of you have suddenly developed a knack for lockpicking? If not, then I guess Ms. Ruu is up once more."

The statue and the paintings are of the same elf. That elf is not Vlad. Vlad is a Drow but the one in the paintings is either a high elf or a wood elf. It's kind of hard to say which one. But it's not a Drow. Secondly the hair and clothing choices seem to not be something that fits Vlad. The face is kind of hard to tell though in the paintings and the statue.
"Curious and somehow more concerning." Devarus quietly comments. He then gives the room another cursory once over again. "Though mayhaps not nearly as curious as to how this place came to be in so forboding a forest... Hmmm...." He rubbed at his chin for a bit before shaking his head in dismissal and looking over to whatever progress might've been made with the lock... if any was at all by the others during the interim. But if they seemed distracted at the moment with other things, then he'd grudgingly pull out his enchanted longsword to go to town on the padlock until it's broken remains could be peeled away.

Bump. What is Val and Runt and Elsara doing while Deva is out exploring the Food Storage room?
Val is still next to the open windows, arrow notched, waiting for the rest to decide keep moving.
PbP Character: A few ;)
Elsara will have kept to the previous junction, keeping an eye out to check no one is trying to slip past as the others are checking the current room.
