"I... Wish you were right." Gabby looks sad. "I'm not brave, I'm a coward. If I had been brave, I wouldn't have run away when your party attacked the soldier's quarters (stage area), I would've stood with the others wearing my armor and holding my weapon. Instead, I was sleeping in a sack so no one sees me and when you came, I ran away..."
“But now you are showing more courage than you imagine. I rather prefer to face a hungry bear than the stupidity of the humanity “ he smiles to inspire confidence on her.
"They all think they're special because they're big........ doesn't mean anything......... ill tell you my tactic when talking to them .......... find a chair or something to stand on....... then you'll be taller than them! "
"......or just get an even bigger guy on your team .......... like Skriiod!"
with that last comment he gestures over to the huge dragonborn with a beaming smile (as much as you can smile with a beak)
(OOG: I am about to head off for the weekend and will have no internet (maybe occasional in the local pub) so won't be able to post that much. DM i am very willing to let you post on behalf of Folki, you have his full description and backstory. If in doubt just remember that he is fully matured but still only 10, and he's not good at reading people)
"Well, I know who we should start with, at the very least. Follow me." Gymgiel gave a wave of his hand to those who wanted to follow him, especially Gabby. They would be going to the temple to go talk to a certain someone that Gym knew very well.

Gymgiel leads the group to a local temple. He makes a point to wipe his boots before entering the temple proper, as to not track dirt and mud through it. He stops one of the priests walking by to ask, "Excuse me, is Father Torelgen around?"

A local member of the temple looks at you and says, "Gym! It's been too long the father will be happy to see you. Please come in." You are led to meet the priest. Father Torelgen says, "Gym! It's always nice to see you. I see you have brought friends... and a goblin?"
Gym has a big smile and a wave for Father Torelgen. Basically the man who raised him, Gym owes a lot to this village elder. "Aye, yes, friends." Gym looked over his shoulder to Gabby. "All of them."
"I joined an adventurer's guild, tryin' to make a difference in the world, yeh know? Like I always talked about. Well, here is somethin' good we can do. The goblin tribe down the way raids and pillages for survival, Camenose retaliates how it can, its a cycle. Never endin'. Ms Orison here is an ambassador from the Goblin tribe, and they'd like to discuss openin' trade with Camenose. For goods and trainin' on how to work the land. It would help both. But people ain't listenin', not yet. I'd like yer help, Father."

Father Torelgen seems a bit worried, "Gym, you know how goblins are. Can we really trust them? If you want I can call a meeting and have everyone gather." He looks at Gabby who awkwardly waves. "If you truly believe I the goblins can be reasoned with, I will help you by calling the meeting and providing any food or shelter you may need but it will be up to you and your friends to convince the villagers. If I believe in you but not the goblins. If I were to tell people to trust them and their words, I would be a hypocrite. I trust you will be able to convince the villagers if the goblin's words are true."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Folki is just standing infront of the statue, beak just hanging open, staring up at the statue. you will probably have to give him a shove to get his attention or get him to move
Val puts a hand on her shoulder.
”Do not worry, everything will be alright. We got your back. You are very brave.”

She forces a smile back.

"... ... ... Pff..." Gabby stifles her laughter and smiles back at Folki, "Thanks."
“Where might we find these elders? A tavern? Temple? Town hall?”

“Oh yeah, maybe we should also go collect from that guy whose daughter we returned, since we’re in the area.”

If there are any carvings around of God's etc folki will start to investigate them in professional curiosity of a fellow woodcarver

Folki, you find a 7ft tall wooden statue of Lathander.
Folki is just standing infront of the statue, beak just hanging open, staring up at the statue. you will probably have to give him a shove to get his attention or get him to move
(is the statue well made? Investigation 1)
It is well made for what it is. It is not something that will win awards but it is not of poor quality either.
