Valwarin agress with Gendan but points. 

“Before we go to sleep I would like to check on our missing friends... it’s weird that they hasn’t come to this meeting.” 

When the goblin gives them the letter he says

”We will probably come back before leaving brave Gabby, and we will check on you and your welfare.” He assures her.

You go to Franklin's house and see that he's sitting near the entrance. He stands up when he sees you and says, "Welcome welcome. I wasn't able to properly thank you for finding Tracey." He looks kind of saddened as he says, "I bet you're here for you want your 30 gold. I will... get it."

"In fact we were here just to check how you all are. We didn't see you at the twon meeting and decided to come and see how you three are doing..."

"it's... just us two" He says with a weak forced smile, "Alan was disowned by his family and he left the village. I'm worried about Tracey running after him so I had to stay here and keep watch. Sorry I missed the meeting." He pauses for a bit. "Please wait here." He goes inside the house and after some time he comes back with a shabby looking pouch with 30gp. "I wish I could give you more, I really do; but this is all I have."

"Haven't yoou offered to stay with you? He would have helped you in the fields and you had proven to your daughter that you trust her, and you wouldn't fear that they escape together again. The pack is stronger when a young wolf joins it..."

When he presents the coin purse Val doesn't makes any move to take it.

"I don't feel right taking this " he says to him and his companions " After all your daughter wasn't kinaddped by goblins and we only found her by pure luck."

Franklin shakes his head and says, "You don't understand. His parents didn't disown him for running away; they disowned him because he did nothing but lie around all day and spend their hard earned money on wine and cards. An elopement attempt was just the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak."

Gymgiel doesn't make a move to take the pouch either. "I agree with yeh, Val. Pure happenstance."

"I'll take that.......thank you ....... wish you both a happy life"

Folki steps forwards and takes the bag, attaching it to his belt along with the money from the goblins stores.

"What?....... a contracts a contract! ......... and we need money to live ....... this just covers the rent for the wagon for ****s sake!"

"Language, Folki. That's hardly necessary." Gymgiel didn't move to give back the pouch either. Folki was right however, Gym had forgotten about the wagon and lodging costs.

"We do not care, they need money to survive, that is everything they have. Plus we didn't fulfill our contract so give back twenty gold and we take ten for the goblin issue." Skriiod says to folki. "You can say it is a thanks to me for carrying you whilst you were knocked out, as I could have left you in the cave knocked out with the goblins." 

(Um... You guys don't have lodging costs unless you stay somewhere other than Sydil. Not Camenose though. Father Torelgen will provide you shelter for free)

Franklin just stands there confused, while you argue.

Folki reaches into the pouch and takes out twenty of the coins. He slowly lets them slip from his fingers into Franklins still outstretch hand. The last five are very slow to fall, Folki only releasing them after looking up into Skriiods forceful gaze. He then takes a step back, his shoulders drooped and head hung slightly. His large eyes look out from under his brow at the rest of the company, especially Skriiod and Gym.

To distract Franklin of the argue Val says

"Then if he doesn't make ammends and do not correct his life you will be proved right on your predictions. "

He shakes his head at Val's words and says, " I will admit you have a point but consider my condition. As much as it pains me to say this, Tracey is smitten with the man. I'd rather not have him anywhere near her for fear that he might knock her up. I don't want something like that to happen to my daughter while she is still so young. Her mother... passed on while giving birth. Tracey is my only child and I want her to have a good life. I... can't risk it. Maybe you'll understand when you have children of your own."

"I understand what you say. All the pack takes care from the pups as if they are their own. "

“I’m fine with taking just enough to cover the wagon in this case, but we better get Elsara and head back to Sydil for a job that pays. I’ve always wanted to own a full suit of plate mail, and good deeds without payment won’t pay those bills.”

Alright. Do you guys want to say anything else to Franklin? If not, it is 7:00 PM. Will you head for the goblin base now or at 4:00AM tomorrow?

Val would prefer to spent the night in teh woods, but will stay close to the village if they prefer to stay for the night.

Gendan will opt to get a night’s rest, and stay near Gabby to ensure no funny business, then head out come morning.
