It would take 12 hours for you to get back to Camenose. I assume you guys rest in the forest somewhere on the way.
Summer-10 Time: 12:00PM
You guys have arrived at Camenose village. At this point in time, most of the villagers are at work in the fields or in their shops. You see the housewives and househusbands walking on the streets, doing various chores. Among the villagers, one of them is dressed in black and sticks out like a sore thumb. She is covered from head to toe in leather. She wears a hooded leather cloak and a white mask whose eye sockets contain thick glass. The glass makes them look hollow. A beak-like extension is present in the mask. She wears a full-sleeved leather shirt, full leather pants, leather gloves and boots. She carries a metal cane which has a pointed end. She seems to be carrying a basket to buy groceries. The other villagers don't seem to mind her at all. It is quite a cloudy day today. The clouds are blocking the sun and a shadow falls over the land. There is no wind for now.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(For the journey back)
Elsara seems to keep to her bubbly personality, putting alarms around the camp as usual. During her free time not on watch or trancing, she appears to be training with a scimitar while waiting for the others to wake up.
(Back to now)
Elsara looks at the unusual attire inquisitively. It reminds her of some stories of the old medicine men, who would keep special herbs in their "beak" to ward plagues away. (Check to determine if this is a cultural attire, or perhaps represents a position of authority, perhaps) History:14
(Assuming that she doesn't get any alarm bells from the prior check)
Elsara looks over to the person in the mask. "Ooh, they're wearing interesting clothes." She says, then happily skips over to them. She stops a few feet in front of the figure and holds her hand up in a gesture of friendship. "Hi there, my name's Elsara. Nice to meet you!"
Elsara, the attire the person is wearing is the usual attire of plague doctors. Plague doctors have been around for about 1000 years. They are masters of combating diseases. However, because of the intense study required to become a one, they are not as common as most professions. Plague doctors are still in service at the current age.
The figure seems confused by your sudden approach. She says in an unenthusiastic tone, "Yeah. You too" before continuing to walk off.
Elsara stands there for a second, looking a bit annoyed. She then goes back to grinning and skips up to them, following alongside them. "Is somebody sick in town? I've not really met a plague doctor before. What herbs do you use in your beak?" She says in the usual tone of an annoying child that's asking too many questions.
(If the party want to reel her in, then feel free.)
The doctor doesn't stop walking but does respond. "We used to use herbs. Now we use a special kind of mechanism. Nobody's sick. I live here. Never met a plague doctor before? You must have never come down with something clerics can't cure." (Not coming down with a disease clerics can't heal is normal for people who haven't been adventuring for a long time. This is true for Elsara)
"If you're not working, why are you in your work attire?" Elsara's onslaught of questions continues. "Did you learn your practice in a big city? What sort of mechanism do you use know? Oh, are you allowed to tell me, or is it a trade secret?"
She walks quickly and enters a grocery shop (with Elsara following, I presume). She hands the shopkeeper a list. While the shopkeeper is getting her things, she talks to Elsara. "I'm studying under Master Cronomane. The Plague Doctor is a profession to be proud of. Why shouldn't I wear their attire? (DM: She says this, but most Plague Doctors don't like wearing the thick leather gear unless they are seeing a patient.) The mechanism is complicated." When she gets her groceries, she pays the shopkeeper and starts walking out.
EDIT: Elsara would no that an elf named Elias Cronomane saved the people of Lun from a deadly disease about 600 years ago.
"But it looks really heavy and warm and uncomfortable." Elsara continues. "Also if you get it dirty, wouldn't it bad if you then had to go see a patient and it wasn't cleansed? I could clean the dust of the bottom if you'd like for you." She has continued to wander and talk. "I bet you must be really smart if you're an accomplished plague doctor. It must be a great honour to study under Master Cronomane!"
"Yes it is an. Though one day, I will exceed him in this trade. And don't touch my robes!" The person's answers are short and to the point. She keeps walking.
Gym will stand with the rest of the group as he watches this scene unfold. "How long to yeh suppose the doctor has had enough? Doesn't look to be much longer."

"Well I don't need to touch the robes to clean them. I can use magic." Elsara mentions. "Also I can't wait until you surpass him. I bet you'll be the best doctor in recorded history." She says with a smile. "Oh, wait, I'm meant to be somewhere!" She realises now that she has wandered far away from the party. "Maybe I'll see you again, miss...?" She trails off as if for the plague doctor to introduce herself.
"Okay, bye!" Elsara waves as the plague doctor leaves. She then skips back to the party. "Sorry, I kinda like saying hello to people. It's nice to make friends... What were we doing, again?"
"Passin' through to check on Gabby before we head back to the guild."

"Oh yeah!" Elsara says. "We need to let them know how it's going." She goes to stand beside the others. "Lead on! I'll try not to wander off again. Promise!"
You guys go to Father Torelgen's barn and find Gabby. She looks up at you timidly and says, "H-hey. How is everyone back at the base?"
DM: Water refills are automatic. Buying rations is not. However, between all of you, you should have more than twice the required amount of rations to go from Camenose to Sydil.
Going to bed now. Feel free to do all RP regarding the reunion.
Okay I'm back.

Does the dark figure seem to be about the same build and size of Gabby?

Gendan, because of the figure's attire, you can't accurately discern her build. However, she is much taller than Gabby.

She doesn't answer your question. Instead she picks up speed and walks toward the large wooden mansion in the north of outskirts of the village.
