"But, why would the village elder do things like this?" Elsara asks. "If they're the elder, couldn't they have just said that they weren't going to make a deal with the Evans Clan?"She thinks on this for a moment.
I assume Gym and Hunin would be familiar with the halfling elder Samuel Moris, since he's 190 years old, including--most likely--where his home is.
Everyone except Hunin:
The rest of us probably remember Samuel Moris as the halfling elder who was adamant on destroying the goblins after we had weakened them. Although this was many months ago IRL, it was only a short while ago in game. DM can judge if we would have forgotten anything (probably requiring a history check or something).
It was actually about 30-40 days ago in-game. This world has 6 months in a year with each month having 60 days so it hasn't technically been a month yet but it has been some time. You guys still remember though.
DM: The injured goblins, for those that might be wondering, are completely fine.
Skiirod says, "Someone should stay here and make sure the other members don't try to attack this place to get them."
Skiirod and Folki stay behind (They have been inactive for a while now and they aren't responding to my PMs. I'm going to NPC them for now. If they don't respond by October 2, I will have to drop them, unfortunately)
Elsara, Hunin, Gendan, Val and Gym (Currently NPCed) head to Samuel's house. You guys are standing in front of a house that is a size larger than the other houses here. It is still much smaller than Chronomane's mansion and Torelgen's house.
“What would be more... aceptable by these civilized rules of yours? I still can’t understand why if they attacked part of their community and are the ones causing problems and death we are the ones to be blamed for defend ourselves and the village... so I will follow your lead.”
(Sorry for not posting. Been very unwell this past week and trying to get back into posting.)
Elsara will tag along with the others, since Skiirod and Folki will be fine being sturdy guards at the temple. She keeps her eyes out where she goes, as she's had the least experience with this town to date of the group. "I think we should knock. We're the good guys, so doing bad things won't make the town like us any more, especially if they hear that some adventurers just wandered up to the elder's house and kicked his door down."
Gendan had an arm raised and ready to slam on the door when Elsara’s words rang. It made Gendan steam even more that Elsara was probably right. As she stepped aside for someone else to knock, one could see the purple Eldritch energy dancing on her fingertips.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Gym steps forward and knocks on the door. At first there's no response; an expected reaction considering it's 3:30 AM. Gym knocks a bit louder a few more times. You see a light move through the two storied house and then the sound of locks unlocking. The door opens and Samuel stands behind it in his sleeping robes. He holds a candle in one hand and rubs his eyes with the other. "Who are you and what do you want at this hour?"
Elsara wants to check that he's telling the truth. The guy could just be leading us on a wrong path to jeopardise the group. (Hope it's a good roll)

He is telling the truth.

(OOG: I wonder if any of the PCs remember the first mission's ending. Not Elsara though. She was in the goblin base during that time.)
(I've purposely not read any of it.)
(Does Hunin know where Samuels house is?)
If So:
"His house is located that direction" Point his hand towards that location and giving the direction needed to go.
If not:
"I can't recall where it is located perhaps one of the other locals will know more information."

Will the rest of you go to Samuel's house?
Gendan will go.

Seeing the others finally leaving the house Valwarin approaches them and rejoin his party.
”Are we going to go back now? The sooner we leave this place the better...”

Alright, I'm moving on.

(Sorry I haven't been getting notifications through email.)
Hunin Looks up at house "So should we let our selves in and have a little conversation with Samuel? Or should we just knock?"

(Do we have the body with us, or did we leave it at the temple?)

Neither. When you guys went to retrieve the body, it was gone.
