(Sorry I'm late to the party on all this! But let's see.. And that's weird, but my previous post disappeared. Granted, it was a miss anyways, but still. Huh.. Nevermind. I am an idiot.)
Restraining himself to only pressing his lips into a thin line, Devarus retrieves Crackerjack if at all possible before trying to peak outside himself. "I've got some manacles myself. But, I would rather save them for more a high value target. But be that as it may, can't see her. Gonna go topside for a hopefully better view. Soon as their secured with the rest, meet me there." He states before briskly making his way for the stairs.
Waiting on Runt to explain how exactly she plans to tackle the orc while both of them are in the water. The way the next phase starts depends on that answer. Also Elsara and Gendan successfully manage to tie up the orc. he would have screamed but Cerax jammed a cloth into his mouth to prevent that from happening. The orc is conscious but firmly bound and gagged. Deva heads up stairs. It would take a bit to reach the stairs so I will say what he sees after confirming what Runt is doing.
While Runt moves up and tries to do that the orc begins shouting shortly before his head goes underwater. Then suddenly you hear what sounds like a Ballista shot and two bolts from the Vortex's Dual Ballista crash onto the waves.
Hit: 10 Dmg: 35 Hit: 9 Dmg: 36
Runt manages to avoid the devastating attack, being forced to let go of the orc to save herself. Deva gets on deck of the enemy ship just in time to see two large splashes erupt from the water as the Ballista bolts strike the water.
Captain Cerax as well as everyone else hears the noise. He says, "What the hell? What's going on out there?"
Elsara was about to check if there was anything further below deck when the noise catches her off-guard. "Oh no... Runt!" She says, seeing that Val didn't go with her. She quickly goes to the window again to see if she sees any sign of their favourite stormborn.
"If there was any chance of salvaging the stealth approach, I do believe your men saw to that."Devarus says, grimacing at the wave. He would still go over and check the splash zone, hoping nevertheless to sight either Runt or the other Orc. Although if further than 90ft, he switches to his longbow for a better shot. If along the way he saw cannons set on the deck he adds, "Captain. You may wish to get your engineers working on those on the double-time, or readying them at this point."
By which point, if he sighted and had a shot on the Orc, he looses a shot.
(I am a little bit lost... who is firing? is there another deck below? if so, Val will go downstairs trying to see who is firing and eliminate the thread)
Gendan jumps down into the water. Though her heavy armor would normally sink a man, she manages to keep afloat and swim with some minor difficulty. She casts a spell and then she vanishes along with her war buddy (both Gendan and Runt are now Invisible). The orc disappears into the mists and The Vortex stops firing. Why would your own allied ship open fire on you? Something's not right.
Deva checks around but he can neither see the orc nor can he figure out if more are coming.
Captain Cerax said, "The sound has stopped and I can neither see the orc nor can I see our brave warriors. No doubt the pirates will be coming for us now. I say we throw stealth to the winds and split up. One team will destroy the pirates ship based weaponry while the other team will go and retrieve the missing men. We leave no one behind!"
(What is possible at this point? If we swim back to the ship, are there ways to board? If not, Gendan will swim to shore, and encourage Runt to do the same.)
"With that in mind then, Captain. I suppose I should be going. The squad you brought can see to the ship at this point. While the rest of us... get to shore and make some noise."He says as he makes his way to the closest life/rowboat(if any), and began the process of lowering it down. at least until some of the captain's men could come over and help from there.
If there are no boats about, he settles for readying to leap off towards the island side once things look well under way on the ship.

Elsara goes with Devarus, ready to help get a rowboat down into the water if they can. If not, she will get herself ready for a cold dive and swim over to the shore.

The shot came from The Vortex, that is the ship that you took to get to the island. The one that is captained by Cerax.
So to recap, Runt and the orc are in the water. They are being shot at by your own ship. What do you do?

(If you're talking about the pirate ship, there's no way to board from the water.)

Gendan will swim toward shore. If the Orc also swam in that direction, then she is chasing the Orc.
