(To DM: That's why you gotta do a bit of bamboozling to trick the animated spirit! But again, it's a somewhat desperate measures type of spell anyhow.)
(That aside, Dev's ready)

Goyo - [Tortle]Druid/Warlock - Circle of Sea/Celestial (Libretalia)
Drozo - [Hobgoblin]Cleric - Blood Domain (Call of the Netherdeep)
The Captain's eyes scan over every Guild Member and after a few moments of silence, he says, "It seems no one has anything else to say. The meeting is adjourned." The assault team consists of the Captain, Runt, Val, Elsara and Deva. Gendan is left on the ship to make sure no one ****s up. The captain says to Gendan before leaving, "Despite who is usually in charge of the ship when I'm not around, you are not required to follow anyone's orders except for the ones I'm going to give you now: " There are already guards, guarding the orcs. Your duty is to stand with them and make sure they don't mess up. Basically, you're the guards' guard. We shall return shortly."
The assault team then head off. Going through the forest you eventually come to a fort. The captain looks at the fort and mutters, "Strange... when and how did they build something like this?" The door to the fort is open and the place seems deserted.
Gendan is annoyed, but holds her tongue. She summons her maul instead of her usual longsword, for the sake of intimidation. Heeding Elsara’s words, she will take the long way to the prisoners: taking assessment of the rest of the ship to make sure no surprises lie in wait.
Upon getting to the prisoners, Gendan will issue this warning: “If anyone so much as attempts to escape, they get my hammer to their skull.” She then turns to the guards and says, “if any of you f^ck up, you get my hammer to your skull, Captain’s orders. Any questions?”
The fort is made out of stone. It has some guard towers with very heavy crossbows mounted to it. The crossbows are too big for one normal person to carry but much smaller than Ballistas. However, there are no guards to man the defenses.
While patrolling the ship, you hear a voice whisper to you, "Agitated are we?" The voice is enough to instill a sense of fear. There seems to be no one around. She knows that this voice belongs to her Patron.
Elsara's keeping an eye over the orcs. She keeps her blades sheathed and occasionally does a little cycle about them, humming lightly to herself and with a springy dance to her movement. (Passive Perception 14 if they try anything I suppose)
(Ah, misread the message. Thought it said we were all told to stay on the ship. Forget my last post then, Elsara's gonna go with the captain's orders.)
"Well, I can make magic towers in a few minutes." Elsara mentions, looking at the fortress. "But I guess if you're given enough time, or a more potent spell, then it isn't impossible."
The captain says, "That is true but one would require a powerful spellcaster for that. Do the pirates have access to such a spellcaster? It seems to me that one option is that the pirates have a benefactor of some sorts. They were either given the necessary materials and funds to build this or it is as you say, a high level spell."
If they are going to wait for their scout for a while, Elsara will begin to ritual cast detect magic to bring with her into the area so she can see if there are magical traps or other things in the area.
Squirrel Val enters and detects.. nothing. There it is quiet here but he can still hear the natural animals such as birds and other squirrels around here. The fort does seem empty. A random squirrel approaches Val and tries to make friends with him.
Elsara meanwhile detects that the fort was not built by magic.
Dev will keep a close eye on the closest watch tower, but otherwise waits for Val to return with his report. Once he had it, unless there's any objections, he more than happily leads the wait for the gates or a nearby wall to put his grappling hook to work.

Meanwhile, what is Gendan doing?
Gendan is annoyed, but holds her tongue. She summons her maul instead of her usual longsword, for the sake of intimidation. Heeding Elsara’s words, she will take the long way to the prisoners: taking assessment of the rest of the ship to make sure no surprises lie in wait.

The guards all shake their heads, not wanting to deal with the Warlock with the Maul.
"I can go ahead and scout " offers Valwaryn looking at the fort.
( It is built one wood or stone? How tall are the walls? aside from the wall does it have another defenses? like a moat or porticullis? )
PbP Character: A few ;)

Gendan makes periodic rounds to check for any activity on or near the ship (e.g., the beach).

Elsara's keeping an eye over the orcs. She keeps her blades sheathed and occasionally does a little cycle about them, humming lightly to herself and with a springy dance to her movement. (Passive Perception 14 if they try anything I suppose)(So Elsara decided to stay back at the ship?)

"I'll keep an eye out for any spellcasters. Hopefully I'll be able to suppress any big problems." She mentions.
(I think we're going to be waiting for our scout's return, right?)
Val nods, turns into a squirrel and sneaks into the fort looking for enemies that could be setting an ambush.

Elsara will keep the magic going for when they wander in, just in case there's any immediate magic when they end up being led by Val-Squirrel.
Dev will keep a close eye on the closest watch tower, but otherwise waits for Val to return with his report. Once he had it, unless there's any objections, he more than happily leads the wait for the gates or a nearby wall to put his grappling hook to work.

“Oh, f*ck off!” she thinks, knowing that her patron won’t let her thoughts be her own.
After Gendan has made a couple of rounds, have any prisoners so much as moved?
