After walking around and looking for the horses for a few minutes you find Folki brining the horses back. You have lunch (Short Rest) and continue onward.
Summer-10 Time: 10:00 PM
The road passes through the outer border of Vandanore Forest. The thick canopies makes it feel like there's a roof of leaves above your heads. The earlier storm has made the weather it a little colder. It is an overall, very enjoyable weather. You can hear owls and insects. Not all is well though because one of the horses seem to be getting sick. Gabby looks around and says, "Do you... Think it's safe? To camp here I mean? There could be bandits... Though you guys are strong... I'm sure bandits are no match for you."
MAP:
Your Position: Row 3; Column 12 (The rightmost column)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Oh no, are the horses looking sick? Is it because they were caught in the storm for so long?" Elsara asks, attempting to discern if there are any obvious issues with the horses.
(Welp, looks like I'm not discerning anything. Guess I'm on alarm duty)
"Don't worry, we should be fine Gabby." Elsara will tell the goblin. "You just keep close to the middle of our group and we'll look after you, okay?" She then proceeds to put a couple of alarms around one side of the camp to alert to anything that isn't the group (Gabby and horses included) from being sneaked up on that way.
Two 1s in a row to check on that poor animal?? He is suffering, we should put him out of his misery... poor guy, with just a cold for the rain and we are going to kill him trying to find out what’s going on with him XD
The group gets some quiet time. This is enough time to ponder over the past events. The past few days have been very hectic. You guys get the feeling that things will get a lot more calm for the rest of the trip back. That is, minus the occasional bad weather. You finally have a few hours to relax a bit and let your mind digest the recent experiences.
- QUEST COMPLETE -
You each get 258 XP (Also add 6 from the storm if you haven't already) (I went ahead and added the 6 XP for those who forgot so don't worry about it. Just add 258 )
Elsara looks to Skiirod. "Mister Skiirod? Can you help remove sickness with your paladin's touch?" Elsara asks, assuming that Gendan shares his information.
Just a thought that Lay On Hands can be used to remove diseases, so it may be able to work on minor things like getting the sniffles.
I just realized that since you found out some places during this quest which were not originally on your maps, It would make sense for at least one of you to be the type to mark it. Even if none of you will do that, your characters know the locations of places they visited. So, I'm updating the Aros and Vandanore region maps based on your findings.
(Yes. I love it and hate it at the same time when I need 1XP to level up in a video game.)
Also Val, you don't need to cast Goodberry outside of RP purposes. When I rolled Survival for you and Folki at the start of the trip back, it was assuming you two would be the ones to go searching for food. That roll basically determined that you wouldn't need to spend your rations in the trip since you'd always get enough food (1 meal is all you need to avoid exhaustion but since you both crossed DC15, you get two meals) for the day during your whole trip.
Alright. I assume during the trip, Folki and Val will gather food (They did it when you first got here.).
Folki's Survival Roll:16 Val's Survival Roll:17
You guys won't need to spend any rations.
Again, casting spells because that's what your character would do is something I respect. I just wanted to make it clear that strictly mechanically speaking, you guys won't need to spend any rations during this entire trek back (unless you want to of course)
[OOC] Yup, 1 xp. Lets go beat up a raccoon or something.

Val will check on the horse to see what’s happening to him. (Medicine(?):7 )
PbP Character: A few ;)
Val detects nothing.

Medicine: 4
(If she can't discern any issue with the horses, she'll Val to care for them and go around doing her alarm rituals over areas around the camp fire)

"Y-Yeah." Gabby nods before continuing, "Thanks again for taking me with you."
“It can’t be that hard to cure a horse, right? Gym, Skriiod, can’t you just use some of your holy magic?”
Meanwhile, Gendan will also attempt to stabilize the horse. Medicine 15

Gendan, you figure out that the horse has a cold and a fever. It needs rest and medicine.
Is there enough dryish wood to make a fire?
Yes. You can make a fire.
Folki will make two fires, one for the group and one for the horses
Folki makes two fires successfully. The orange, flickering light of the fire gives the trees around you very eerie glow.
So what are you guys going to do about the sick horse?

Also, such a tease, leaving us on 299 XP.

Next morning Val will speak in wishpers with the horse, trying to comfort him and see if they can continue that day or not.
(He will cast speak with animals to speak with him)
He then produces some berries in his hand and says to the others.
“Pick one and eat it. You shouldn’t need more nourishment for today if you don’t want to use your rations. “

Elsara watches Val taking care of the horse. "Can you find out what's wrong with Twinkle Snow? I don't want her collapsing if she's sick."
