"Mahogany! By the Coinmaidens gilded pursestrings, our dearest gran was certainly quite well-to-do for a baker, no? And that's on top of the funds for a security force and an entire enchanted kitchen. I would find her expense accounts far more interesting than some mere recipe I daresay." Rolas runs his hands along some of the woodwork while Xorben and Bram investigate in admiration for the simply marvellous craftsmenship.
Once Bram has finished looking over each piece of furniture and he's finished admiring it, he gestures for Fianna to come over. "Here, take the other side. I'd like to check nothing has fallen beneath as these goblins clearly have no eye for picking up after themselves."
Athletics w/ adv from Fianna's earlier help action, moving the furniture and desk around to check if anythings on the floor underneath: 21
Xorben does notice, at the very last second, a small trip wire attached to one of the desk drawers. (Dex check to disarm it)
Bram finds the desk very heavy to move, but is correct in assessing the value. A fair amount of the items in this place could be valuable, but the effort to move and sell them would be time consuming. Seems a waste to leave it all for the goblins, but the question that comes to mind is "Are we adventurers, or are we movers?"
"We do have half of the recipe, Bram," says Rolas. "And the equipment in the kitchen is still fully in operation. We could follow the recipe up to where we have, and then have the enchanted equipment finish it. If we record what it's all doing then we would have the complete recipe!"

"Half of it," he corrects. Rolas produces a wrinkled scrap of paper from his pocket, "I discovered it in the other office. It appears to have been torn in two so I have my reservations as to whether it's the recipe but it's a start."
"No,"she tries to explain to Rolas while gesturing towards the kitchen, "you're right. We already have the recipe. All we need is the ingredients. What's on the recipe you have there?"
“I found a trip wire that needs to be disarmed. Everyone out unless you’re wanting to try it. If you’re real good with your hands. I can use my mage hand but my concern might be we destroy the desk if we trip the trap?”
That works! You are able to disconnect the wire and get the drawer open safely.
This drawer contains one half of the secret recipe on a torn up old parchment scroll. It also contains a small notebook that appears like it may have a number of spells in it.
Upon closer inspection, the notebook contains: Druidcraft, Entangle, Purify Food and Drink, and Speak with Plants.

Xorben says softly, "I have ink and parchment so I can copy the recipe as a backup, just in case."
"Not sure I can do anything with those spells. Maybe later on perhaps."
"We could make like we didn't find anything when leaving. Upset we paid for nothing."
Xoben copies the recipe onto his parchment paper and unless there is more to do here says, "I have it copied and ready when you folks are. I'll tuck the recipe in under my clothes. someone else keep the other stuff scattered between you three perhaps. Should we do a double check in the building?"

There does not appear to be anything special about the ingredients. Although there are a fair number of spices that may be expensive to acquire, nothing you don't recognize. In fact, there is nothing about the recipe itself that seems particularly exciting... but sometimes it comes down to just achieving that perfect blend.
You do seem to have what you came for, as simple as it sounds.

"We have searched this place and I am beginning to wonder if the recipe is still here or was it destroyed long ago" says Bram
"Xorben, did you find something," Fianna asks when she notices him carefully examining one of the desk drawers.
"We do have half of the recipe, Bram," says Rolas. "And the equipment in the kitchen is still fully in operation. We could follow the recipe up to where we have, and then have the enchanted equipment finish it. If we record what it's all doing then we would have the complete recipe!"
Fianna's jaw drops.
"We...we had the recipe this whole time!?!"
"Half of it," he corrects. Rolas produces a wrinkled scrap of paper from his pocket, "I discovered it in the other office. It appears to have been torn in two so I have my reservations as to whether it's the recipe but it's a start."
"No," she tries to explain to Rolas while gesturing towards the kitchen, "you're right. We already have the recipe. All we need is the ingredients. What's on the recipe you have there?"
"That sounds like a solid plan. The other rooms had ingredients so we can maybe restore this recipe with the half we have" says Bram
"Good question, I only had a brief scan," says Rolas, then he unrumples the paper and actually takes a full read of what his half of the recipe says.

"I doubt anyone would risk blowing up their home over a recipe, it's probably worth the risk."
Xorben says ok, "I'll cast mage hand and see if I can disarm the trip wire. "

(Yay we found it)
"Well that seems a bit anticlimactic. I don't suppose the goblins are going to honour their bargain when we try to leave."
"On second thought. Let's take a good look at that before we go, just in case it requires some special ingredients that we need to bring with us."

"As long as there aren't any rare or unusual ingredients, I don't see any reason to stay."
"I agree that there seems to be no reason to stay." says Bram
