Raker takes the items and follows behind Gaius.  He heads a little further down the hall from the body, 20 feet or so.  

Gaius' investigation of the kobold is able to reveal a pouch holding pork rinds and small flask of whiskey in addition to some food (1 ration).

As Raker presses on he's able to find a large space littered with odds and ends of inhabitation, like a makeshift lunchroom. The dirt on the sides is filled with overlapping kobold tracks and impressions from where kobolds may have sat. Leading from it is one passage North and another South to where he had been investigating before.[[revealed the room on the owlbear]]

Raker steps to the corner to the south and tries to stay out of view, he peeks around the corner looking to the south.  “Where did those rocks come from….”  He stays as silent as he can, keeping the hood nearly closed on his lantern.  He peers to the south in the gloom, hoping to scout and then reconnect with Gaius and Relic.

Gaius waits with Relic, anxiously listening for any sign of trouble.

Relic does his duty... he is, ultimately, a soldier, after all, and stands near to Giaus with his axe and shield ready should anything attempt to harm the sorcerer.

As Raker sneaks around to the South he's able to find some more connecting tunnels and spaces that would be a suitable line for slingstones to have come from. As best he can tell while looking around the kobolds seem to have fled. [[Unveiled more on the owlbear map.]]

As they are waiting for Raker to return, Gaius whispers to Relic, “What do you like to do in your free time?”

Raker heads back down the hallway toward Relic (see Owlbear) and stops when he sees him.  “They’ve gone.” He says, “The passages go further south and to the north.  I say we look to the north.  Come with me?  Gaius, come too, let’s stay together.”

Gaius looks to Relic.  “Let’s follow his lead.”  He follows Raker and keeps to Light rock aloft with a Mage Hand spell.

The tunnel to the North is narrow and damper than the tunnels before. As the party goes along you're able to see branches off in other directions but overall things are quiet. Eventually the narrowness starts to open up again. Some scuttling in the distance can be heard to the North and East. A draft wafts in from the North carrying the smell of an underground water pool.

[[OOC: On the owlbear you can follow the red arrows up to find where they're currently located. Once you hit the green-line tunnels just go up and you'll see them. I also have the light rock as a separate entity now and have re-added the color shading for light level.]]

"Raker, why don't you scout ahead and see what is going on up ahead?" Gaius whispers.  "I get the idea that we are off track going this way, though.  We never saw anything to explain the scraping sounds we were hearing back there."

Raker stops and heads back to Gaius, saying “Did you hear something somewhere else?  Which way … should I go?”

“I kept hearing noise like a sliding stone grinding against stone.  It was to the east of the intersection where the fight was,” Gaius whispers in response.  “Perhaps we should go back to that area and look around more?”

[[OOC: So are you guys looking at pressing on here? Going back to the previous location? Returning to town? Something else?]]

Gaius starts heading back to the room area that was east of the combat.  He looks and listens carefully for anything out of place or scrape marks on the stone surfaces.

As the party investigates the area further more of the tunnels are revealed and Gaius is able to notice some marks against the floors and small pieces of paper leading to what appears to be a hidden door within one of the walls. Some of the nearby stones in the wall appear to be loose. 

Gaius searches the area around the hidden door.  He tries manipulation of the loose stones to see if the door opens.

Gaius looks for help from his companions, “Raker, Relic, there is a hidden doorway here.  Look for a way to open it.”

Raker moves to Gaius when called, taking a dagger and he tries to manipulate the loose stone, looking for a doorway.  “Curious.  Let me see .. if.. I … can.. open…”

Relic waits with axe ready for Raker to get the door open.

"I will take a look and see if I can find anything as well... if not, maybe we I could break it down."
