Spending his rest with the staff, Gaius able to find that it is a Staff of Birdcalls. (I've got a homebrew copy of it I can add to your inventory if you don't have access to Xanathar's here.)
(( I am most interested in all of the items found in the room of loot. If any others radiated magic a closer inspection to see what school if possible. ))
Gaius looks to the others and smiles, “This is a magical bird call.” As he says this he holds forth the staff and evokes a loon call. “It can do others, too.”
Raker takes time to sit down and rest, meditate, and attend to his wounds from the kobolds, thinking over their next moves. “After we have rested, let’s look for any other passages we haven’t explored…nice staff! I like the call!” He tilts his head up and mimics the loon call again and looks directly at Gaius. You can’t quite make it out, but you think that Raker is giving you his version of a smile.
(Used 2 hit die of healing for 11 h.p.)

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
“Hey, that’s pretty good. Maybe we can use that again somehow,” Gaius smiles back to Raker. He has not met a Kenku before, but, Raker seems like someone interesting to be around.
”What are your thoughts? The tunnel to the north seemed unused. There is another to (SW on the map) from where we fought those creatures.”
Gaius pulls out the papers and the scraps of town paper to go over them again, seeing if he missed something.
[[For the items found in the room with the sacks, none of those radiated magic. For the items found in the room with the chests, will just need a quick roleplay mention of sharing items there for figuring which ones have detect magic checked on them.
Added the Staff of Birdcalls as Mathias' Staff of Birdcalls. (I tend to give homebrew copies I make common prefixes for ease of differentiation.)]]
As the group rests, there seems to be some peace and quiet after the recent events. Barring some insects and other small critters, nothing really comes around. After they finish resting Gaius takes his look and is able check out the tunnel to the SW and sees that it leads Southwards to other areas of the sewers not yet explored.
“What if we go to the surface and look for a sewer entrance on the other side of that trapped tunnel?” Gaius asks the others. “I don’t want to die, or watch one of you die, feeling stupid for entering an obvious trap.”
Gaius pulls out the papers and the scraps of town paper to go over them again, seeing if he missed something.
Investigation = 11
[[forgot about this part; sorry]]
With further investigation during the short rest, Gaius is able to notice some common symbols between some of the letters and on the found map, suggesting there was communication about locations in the town.
Raker says to Gaius “I would avoid that trapped section of tunnel. I think we should investigate to the southwest. It looks like we are definitely on to the disappearances, this is the source, and with moving through the sewers we know how, but we still need to uncover the why. Are you rested?” He turns to the warforged, “Relic, are you ready? (He nudges him slightly with his toe) Are you ready to get to the bottom of this?”

Gaius nods in agreement, “We are definitely on the right path about the disappearances.” Gaius stows the papers then restores the Light stone and uses Mage Hand to hold it aloft. He is ready to follow Raker to the SW.
(Moved Raker’s token. There is no other exit from the room with the secret door and the loot we found, right? If not, Raker will head back east and take the first southward passage, scouting ahead.)

[[Correct on no other secret doors having been found.]]
Heading towards the South, the party finds the tunnels in that direction have a more lived in feeling of sorts. They see more rats and other critters than before. After coming a ways (approximately 10 minutes) they come across a split in the tunnels with an option to go West and an option to go South. Due South they are able to hear some animal chitter. Also present at this divergence is a large mousetrap like they had seen before. It appears to have slammed down without having anything in its grasp and there's no presence of any bait that may have been there.
With Raker scouting ahead for the party, he doesn't see any evidence beyond the animal chitter of hostiles in the area.
[[map note: Like before, the purple portion of the tunnel is something for my sake of ease to have a general way of connecting things without needing to draw the entirety of the sewers. So while it's only 115ft on the map, the purple portion is meant to be the ~10 minute journey.) ]]
(Sorry I've been a little bit slow to post lately... my employers have apparently decided I don't deserve days off and should be working 12-hour shifts every other day)
Relic considers for a moment, then nods.
"Very well, I will follow your lead. I know that my job here is to make sure our enemies do not harm the rest of you."
[[@MisterWhisker, ouch on those kind of long hours.]]
Using mage hand to move the light rock, Gaius is able to see two different opens down the passages. Towards the East the passage winds and he's able to see another oversized rat-trap primed an readied with bait laying on the ground. Due South the rock uncovers another opening. As the light approaches he sees a skittish giant rat the size of a dog dart out of the bright light of the light rock and into the dimness.
Raker watches for any movement of the rat toward them, pulling out and nocking an arrow in his bow, reading a shot if it approaches. He waits to see if they have been observed.

As far as Raker can tell the rat, while aware of the light, hasn't noticed the party yet.
From the South comes a loud snapping sound followed by a rat-like squeal. Another rat comes into view for a moment and the two giant rats head West. From the animal sounds it doesn't sound like they went far.

Relic will spend 1 Hit Die for 12 hit points back. The automaton seems to remain at attention, but goes into a low-power mode.
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
