“Come find us at the chapel if we are needed.” Gavin says to Kathra as he swallows the last of his ale. He thanks the barkeep for his assistance making sure he keeps the gold piece. “I don’t know if it will immediately help her feel better, but I would want to see us if I was in her place. Do you know who she prays to at this chapel?”
Gavin looks at Peren, “Well, let’s go and see if we can find her.”
"The temple is dedicated to Ged." the barkeep says, in a mater-of-fact tone, as if no explanation is needed. A Religion check would be required to know more if you wish, otherwise we can move over to the temple.

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
Thinking back through the roster of various dwarven deities, you remember that Ged is something of a Prometheus figure among the dwarves, having secreted magical knowledge away from other deities after many a godly drunken bender and then shared this trove of knowledge with his mortal children. Ged is a somewhat contentious figure in dwarven culture, with some seeing him as a trickster or troublemaker that spreads knowledge meant to invite disaster while others, like the Krakhals apparently, see him as a drunken hero, liberating knowledge and redistributing power among the meritus and worthy.
It doesn't take more than a few minutes for both Gavin and Peren to find the temple, having seen its pointed roof poking up above the nearby buildings several times at this point. A tall, rectangular structure of stone and glass, decorated with crenelations housing filigreed statuary, the temple stands just off the western edge of the main square. Entering inside, you see that the cavernous main chamber, lined with cushioned stone pews, is lit by a combination of the fading sunlight from outside the western glass as well as what looks to be nearly hundreds of candles of various lengths that are in the process of being set alight by a handful of acolytes and other parishioners. A quick scan of the room yields your quarry. Della sits in the second row, head bowed in a morose contemplation.

Do I see a priest that is available to speak with by chance? This might go smoother if we are accompanied by someone she trusts. Also makes a grief counselor available instead of complete strangers.
Gavin: There are a few dwarves here and there that look like clergy. Some are in the process of lighting candles while others sit reading texts or in contemplation.

I will approach one of them w Peren and quietly ask if he/she knows Della or can point me to a priest with the closest relationship with her. Once I have one that knows her I will briefly explain that I would like them to accompany us to speak to her about finding some effects of her missing significant other and return them to her.
((Do we find out anything about who he was during this convo?))
You approach a portly looking dwarf in clerical vestments lighting candles near the eastern windows. Getting his attention, he turns to you and smiles. "Welcome to the house of Ged, my friends. I don't think we've met, though that's not uncommon here with so many travelers stopping through our fair city. My name is Maester Dorrin. How may I enlighten your life this evening?"
The two of you briefly explain your purpose; looking to get a little guidance about Della and the unidentified mystery list writer. You elude, in a brief, tactical manner, to how you came by this script and that it may be the cause or solution to Della's distress. Dorrin takes all of this in, examining the torn scrap of paper gently. "This looks like something Glinda would write. She and Della were very....close, even as kids. That girl was a rather good baker, for a gnome." Stroking his beard, Dorrin thinks for a bit. "Come to think of it, Della was asking around about her about a week or so ago. Most assumed that Glinda caught the eye of a traveling merchant and left town for larger ventures. These sorts of things happen occasionally to those not of the Clan."

“A gnome you say? ((Gavin thinks back to the gnome skull they found attached to the fish body)). I think we may be able to recover some remains for a proper funeral if the skull we found is hers, which unfortunately I believe it is. Would you mind introducing Della to us? Do you have a private chamber by chance? We would like to explain what we found and return her friends note, that she was thinking of her. We also have a necklace we recovered as described in the note. Hopefully it will give her some closure and she can grieve properly knowing the truth.”
Maester Dorrin nods his head. "I would be glad to help spread the blessing of knowledge in hopes that it delivers solace." And with that he leads you over to the pew where Della is sitting, puffy eyes closed in quiet contemplation. Reaching over Dorrin gently lays a hand on her shoulder, the act of which seems to bring Della out of her solitude. "Della, my child, I've noticed that you've been struggling these last few days, beseeching Ged for answers. It seems the divine has heard your words. These two men here say they have information for you about Glinda." Della stiles a sniffle and perks up at the mention of her gnomish companion. Dorrin continues. "As you know, information is a beautiful....sometimes terrible....but ultimately formative and precious gift. I invite you to think back on Ged's teachings as you are blessed by the words of these messengers." With that he turns to you both. "I have duties to attend to, but I will be nearby if I am needed." And with that, he moves away toward a bank of unlit candles, leaving the both of you standing near Della who looks at you in keen attention.

Gavin nods thanks at the priest for the introduction. He turns his gaze back at Della feeling uneasy about the nformation he must share with her. Hoping it will bring her some closure, he starts in.
“Greetings Della. Not sure if you remember us, we stayed at your inn the other night. My name is Gavin and my elven friend here is Peren. We came to this area recently because of some rumors of strange occurrences. We are ‘adventurers’, but like to think of ourselves as just good people helping communities of other good people. I hope our words we are about to provide you do just that...help you.”
The war priest continues, ”While investigating the cause of these strange events, we came across a Goliath mage that was a bit, shall we say unhinged in a hidden cave. He was doing experiments of an unholy nature. Long story short, we had no recourse but to end him when he attacked us. He was doing dangerous work that put this community and it’s people at grave risk and didn’t want us stopping him.. And it would only get worse the longer he was around. Afterwards, when we were searching his cave, we came across this”, Gavin pulls the torn note from his pocket and hands it to Della. He allows her to read the note in silence, and then looks at Peren so he can give the necklace to its rightful owner.
Peren will finish his ale and look over at Gavin and say “we should head on over to the chapel”
Kathra orders another ale. "I'll wait here for the runner to show up. It would be a shame if we didn't get paid after all that nonsense."
“Come find us at the chapel if we are needed.” Gavin says to Kathra as he swallows the last of his ale. Might as well do it (w guidance) even though it’s at -1. Regardless of the result, I will start heading over to the chapel.
Religion: 5
Nice roll, I will start walking over with Gavin

Mirabel elects to remain at the tavern and get puzzled with Kathra.
Kathra looks over at Mirabel and raises her mug. "Here's to not getting murdered by deranged old warlocks, or whatever the hell that guy was."

Mirabel downs his beverage and smacks his... lips? Do Dragonborn have lips?
"Whatever he was, I'm fairly confident that the world is better off without him." He motions to the bartender for another round.
((Waiting on Peren))
Peren will hand the necklace to her
((Sorry had to go out of town for a few days))
