Normont whispers to Amber in Gnomish, and she leaps up, and with a couple of flaps of her wings closes the distance to Lumina and lands on her outstretched arm, then walks up to her shoulder.
"Indeed, there is too much ichor...the black milk, as your people call it, to purify it all. But to help individuals is different. We haven't thought about that yet", he says to Lumina, his brow creasing thoughtfully. "Your brother drank the ich...black milk? What are his symptoms? Has he changed physically...um..does he look different? Or is he acting strange?".
He realises he has bombarded the child with questions, and gives her a smile.

He realises he has bombarded the child with questions, and gives her a smile.
"Tell me about your brother", he finally asks.
Lumina held her breath as Amber walked up her arm and Normont could see her shaking slightly with excitement. Both Mother and Father regarded the scene for a few moments before apparently deciding everything was safe and going back to their respective duties.
" Gundiwr is very brave and strong, he........he looks a bit different....but its still him.....but all he wants is more of the stuff. But he's calmer now....they're all locked in the warehouse."
Seeing Quinn come over to Dev as well, Lokilia suddenly gets a bit worried for Dev, hoping he's not overwhelmed by all the sudden attention. She offers agreement with Quinn's words. "Dev, you always seem to produce just the results that are needed in the moment." Hearing Ugart ask about cures and Normont speaking a bit, the druid feels draw to add her thoughts. So to Dev she says, "Why dont we sit with the others and eat?"
Without waiting for a response, she herself goes to sit as near Ugart and Normont as she can. "As far as cures, I'm not sure I know enough magic to truly help. But I'm aware of magics that would help purify food and water from poison or disease. And another that might give a person help against being charmed by aberrations." She drops her head a bit as she pauses a moment. "I can't be sure they'll work. This seems like this might be bigger than just a mundane disease or poison. But I'm willing to try. I'd need time in the morning to connect with nature in order to prepare myself to do these things."
"Ok, he has changed physically a little, but is still himself", Normont repeats. "That is positive at least. How many are kept in the warehouse?".
"Perhaps I should be talking to your father about this. Maybe he will take us to see them", he adds, manoeuvring Lumina over to where the food is so they can both get something to eat.
Dev thanks Quinn and Lokilia for their votes of confidence. He follows Lokilia’s lead, quietly sitting at the table and trying — as she intuited — not to become too overwhelmed.
He eats a few bites, which immediately improves his outlook, and follows nearby conversations absently, remaining somewhat lost in his own thoughts.
Magnus accepts the offer maid by the grizzled Orc and sits down introducing himself and looks around the table at the offered food and begins to make some selections. After filling his plate he turns to the Orc, "Well met sir, I am Magnus of the Cobalt Soul have you heard of them? Also thank you very much for the hospitality, I am not really used to the hardship of traveling the land, as much fun as it is and as enjoyable I am finding it to be, I do miss a comfortable bed to sleep in at night."
Magnus continues to munch down on his food, "What is your take on this Black Milk issue?"

Greycrow nods in understanding as she sits next to Ugart, " Every little bit helps I'm sure.", her face betrayed her worry but she did her best to remain composed in order to support Ugart.
Ugart nodded himself, seemingly slightly embarrassed by his earlier outburst.

" A lot.....maybe.....one...five....seven....I think....nine hands."
" I'm sure he will.", she said cheerfully offering Amber some strawberries.

A few of the younger bugbears appear to be regarding Dev with interest but none come and approach him directly....
Magnus accepts the offer maid by the grizzled Orc and sits down introducing himself and looks around the table at the offered food and begins to make some selections. After filling his plate he turns to the Orc, "Well met sir, I am Magnus of the Cobalt Soul have you heard of them? Magnus continues to munch down on his food, "What is your take on this Black Milk issue?"
" Cobalt Sole? This is your People? Hm, I am Fjellgrimm of the Scarlet Badger."
As Magnus mentioned the hardships of travel he regarded Magnus for a long pause seemingly mulling something over before finally giving a slight nod and half smile.
" Mine is comfortable....."
At Magnus' last words he frowned again, " Bad business.....long time since anything like this has happened. Last time many died, it is said.....but last time was twelve generations back...and that was a box some idiot dug up further east."
He shoved an entire venison kofta into his mouth, chewing slowly.
Normont watches as Amber inspects the strawberry, but then ignores it.
"She doesn't really eat. She is mechanical, a construct", he explains.
He looks across at Ugart, "Let's go ask your dad then". With that he reaches up to the table and grabs some kind of savoury pastry, and takes a bite whilst he walks across to Ugart and climbs onto a chair next to him.
"Would you mind if we went to see Gundiwr and the others? After dinner of course", he asks before taking his second bite.

Ugart narrows his eyes at Normont then looks at Lumina, " Not problem."
He reached into his belt and pulled forth a piece of red dyed leather with a series of scratches in it.
"Sorry for the loss of your kin or tribe? Can you go into more detail of what happened, I have always been fascinated by what has happened in the past and a very curious about this box you mentioned. You say this was happened several days travel to the north, was it?" Magnus continues to ask the orc.

The older orc looked at Magnus slightly confused for a moment, as if the conversation had veered off in a direction he wasn't prepared for " Ah, it was a very long time ago. In my mother's mother's mother day. Some sort of thing trapped in an old box was let out and a lot of people were corrupted....up past Whitestone I think....probably something left over from ancient days...a fiend or some such. Not relate to this trouble I think."
Lokilia finishes up the little bit of food she had taken as well as her drink. Hearing Ugart offer to Normont to see those affected by the black goo, she says, "I'd like to go see these folks too, if I might? Just let me know when you're ready Normont." After a pause she adds, "Of course, I won't be able to try my magic until the morning though."
"Interesting." Magnus mumbles as he writes some notes down. "Hmmm, so yea probably not related, maybe, who knows, with more research things might be more clear. But anyway, back to the recent issues surrounding your camp. The group of you who had been infected by the Black Milk, how did they get infected? Was it around here or possibly the river? I am sure some of my colleagues woudl like to look at the infected, maybe there is something we can do, once done with our meal."

He points off in the direction you passed a large amount of the substance earlier on.
Lokilia nods to Normont, seeing that he's still eating. "Well, whenever you're ready to go." She then goes and sits back down by Dev. "What do you think of these folks. Seem very hospitable don't you think?"
As Quinn turned to Dev rather than answer Kiln shrugged and sat herself down to eat.
Now to Kiln, "I believe that if anyone was able to do it, it would be us. We can try!"
Normont whispers to Amber in Gnomish, and she leaps up, and with a couple of flaps of her wings closes the distance to Lumina and lands on her outstretched arm, then walks up to her shoulder.
