"Well it isn't magical, but a good find. We possibly should look out for anyone who has another like it", Normont suggests, handing the gem back to Dev.
He finishes packing up the green powder and then helps stack the crates as they were.
"Should I try to check the rafters?" Lokilia asks when Normont suggests it's time to go. She can't help but feel the same, they're starting to push their luck. "I could always catch back up with you outside. Provided I find a way out of course." She thinks there must be some exit that the swallows used.
"What did you find Dev?" Lokilia asks as she wanders over to where Dev is looking up at the nests. "Do you see something?" She waits for his explanation and then looks up towards the rafters. "I can't fly, but I could probably get up there to look."
“I think it’s good idea, Lokilia,” Dev says. “I can wait here until you find a way out. Normont and Quinn could start heading out and make sure the way is clear?”
With Dev seeming to support her idea, Lokilia smiles and moves over to either a support post or wall. "I'm sure I won't be long." She then uses her Wild Shape ability to transform into a Spider. In that form she climbs up to the rafters, starting to look about for any spot where a creature might be work their way out. (Perception: 10)

Normont and Quinn moved carefully out of the warehouse, Dev following ready to prepare an illusion....
Spidilia crawled up the wall and worked her way towards the front of the building where the barred loading doors were located, heading above them it took her a little time but located a number of slats that sat at an angle to allow airflow into the building. She suspected that a small bird or rodent could enter and exit via these. On her return she investigated the empty mud nests but found nothing within.
Having found a way out, but nothing else really of interest, Lokilia simply heads back down to where Dev is waiting. She wasn't sure if he'd be able to tell if she'd gone on outside. Once back to the floor she assumes her normal half-elven form. "I do see some spots where rodent or bird could get in from the outside. Good to know in case we need to sneak in later," she tells him. "Let's catch up with Normont and Quinn." She is then on her way to head out of the warehouse as well.
Normont stops by the door with Maggie and turns to Quinn.
"We can't go out without cover. I expect The Nameless Ones will suspect our involvement here, and it won't be difficult for them to find out for certain, but I still don't want to walk out without cover".
”Aw. Well, I’m glad we — I mean you — looked. It seemed like maybe…” He shrugs and smiles at his friend and follows her back to the others. At the door, he pulls up his cowl and then surreptitiously peeks outside.
IF the way is clear, he puts pan pipes to lips and calls an illusionary crate into existence just outside the warehouse door, then walks into it and past it to allow everyone to exit. As they walk, he continues to repeat-cast the spell so that the crate, in its sequential iterations, blocks them from being seen from the door.
On the other hand, if the way is NOT clear outside, Dev immediately and stealthily pulls back inside with a whispered report of whatever is out there.
"Well, so far so good", Normont says quietly. "We will have to be on high alert from now on though".
He wanders over to the Pale Guards he spoke to earlier, Knurl and Challet.
"All good on your front? We made a little more noise than intended, as you likely heard", he asks, putting his hand into his pouch ready to produce a gold coin for their troubles. He changes his mind and starts to retrieve two gold pieces, remembering the noise.
Making it back out onto the street, Lokilia glances back at the warehouse, then around at whoever might be around. "Seems that all worked out," she says. "Though I'd hoped we'd find more concrete clues. Now we just have more mystery." She follows Normont as he moves over to speak with the two Pale Guard he'd spoken with earlier. And she waits while he talks to them, turning to Dev. "Where do you suppose we go now? I wonder who could help us figure out what exactly it is we've found."

Knurl takes the coins with no further comment.
Challet doesn't seem to remember why Normont is there.

Normont is a little relieved that Knurl has no questions, and happily hands over the coin and takes his leave.
"I suppose it is a little soon to head back to the Grey Hunt Manor and check for any replies. And we have no appointments until tomorrow. Perhaps we return home for now?", he suggests. "If I took a longer look maybe an answer will come to me".
"Or we could go to see Archivist Pren a little early. They might be able to help?", he suggests quietly, as he looks up to try and spot Amber.
"Will Grey Hunt Manor really have anything so soon?" Lokilia asks. "I feel like we should try and figure out what these things we found might be. Who would know about that?" She feels a bit at a loss, herbalism was more her thing than these strange, enchanted components.
Dev nods vigorously to Quinn and Lokilia. “Yeah!, but… who?”
He rifles through the names and faces of anyone he has met through Balaran or his singing engagements. Does anyone come to mind? A sage or librarian or teacher or explorer…?
Amber is perched on a nearby rooftop stalking a couple of Marquesian Myna Birds, which seem to have established themselves recently in Whitestone and are becoming quite common.
Normont knows that Lord DeRolo would certainly be knowledgeable about such materials...but he is unavailable.

Perhaps the gnome they saw in the library.....she looked a little 'wizardy', otherwise the other gnome that is the current subject of their investigations or perhaps someone at the Temple......or the local franchise of Gilmores Glorious Goods is perhaps the best option.
"We are due to go back tomorrow to see if Archivist Pren has had a reply to the missive she sent for us", Normont replies to Dev as he waves to Amber to return.
"I don't think she would mind us coming back today, and she might have other ideas of who to speak to. Of course Lord de Rolo would be the best person, but even if he was in Whitestone it would be difficult to get a meeting".
(OOC: I thought this was set before there was a Gilmore's in Whitestone? If not that is a great place to go. Can you remind me about the gnome at the library and the other gnome please?)
