As Quinn speaks to the dwarf about rooms, Normont heads into the common area looking for a table to sit at. After a few days on the road he was eager to eat a hot meal.
“Excuse me”, he asks one of those serving the tables, “We could use some hot meals. What are you serving this evening?”.
He then looks over to the merchants from Whitestone. He would have to talk to them before the evening was done.
Dev shies away from the question, leaving Normont or the others to answer. His hood is up over his horns, and his natural curiosity sends his glance around the warm colors of the room looking for a stage or other spot where music or storytelling might be performed.
Theres ample space by the fire with low tables and stools for a band to set up or an orator to take to the stage...

One of the young women stops as he asks, " Well.....we've pork and beans with sourdough.......also spicy beef noodles.....and of course theres always our mutton gyros. And potato curry for the veggos."
Quinn will look into his poach, "Is there any way we can strike a deal for more favorable pricing? We have a great bard in our party who can do a show for you or if you need something fixed we have the smartest artificer on this side of the realm. There must be something a smart bar owner like yourself needs help with."

He quietly finds a seat and tries to eavesdrop on the merchants’ conversation while trying not to think about how few coins he has with him. This inn is nice, but meal and lodgings will be expensive, he can’t help but think. He also casts a glance around the room for a back door in case someone truly mean comes along and… well, they’d probably have to deal with Quinn too. And the others. Still… just in case, where is the exit?
"That all sounds delicious", Normont replies to the young serving woman. "I will confess I am hungry enough to eat a portion of all of those".
He looks over to the others, "Are you lot coming to sit down? The sooner we order food the sooner we get to eat".
The young woman follows his line of sight counting people, " Well then, I'll bring two of each and some individual bowls and cutlery so you can divide as you wish."
Taking in Quinns conversation, " Charged back to your room?"

Dev is spoiled for choice there are twelve doors and archways leading from this room into others, one of which leads outside. There are two flights of stairs heading upstairs and a small utilitarian flight of stairs behind the bar leading down....there is also a chimney and a number of windows.
Magnus looks around the room at his friends and nods his approval, they all seem to be working well together with some confidence. Walking up and placing his hand on the shoulder of Quinn, "Great job Sir snagging us a room and probably better that we are all in one for obvious reasons." He will then turn toward the Dwarf, "Is there by chance a Cobalt Soul office in town? I should probably check in before we head back out tomorrow morning."
He will wait for an answer and then sees all the appetizing food arriving at their table and then joins the rest of his group to eat some wonderfully cooked food.
Normont also looks across to the others and sees a key changing hands. "I guess so", he replies to the serving woman regarding charging the food to their rooms.
"It'll be nice to have a roof over our heads and hot food in our bellies again", he says to the others sat at the table.
With that he takes a better look around the room at the other patrons, looking for anyone being shifty or taking too much interest in them. Or even just doing something he might find interesting.

The dwarf runs a hand through his thick locks as he thinks, " Don't rightly know....if there is they don't advertise....not a lot for them to do round these parts."

Scanning the room there are a few tables of what he takes to be locals just eating, drinking and chatting and a few more tables of merchants doing the same, from their dress likely from Emon, Westruun and Whitestone.
Quite a few folks are taking some interest in his group, not an undue amount but not being merchants, locals or wearing any known mercenary livery they are probably the second most unusual group in here. The prize for most unusual is probably taken by a trio seated around a table in the far corner, seated there are two well-armed bengal coated cat-folk dressed in thick travelling cloaks and the figure seated between them has lime-green skin darkening to ebony across her cheeks and brow with two delicate tusks and long tapering ears, she is richly dressed with gold rings looped through her extensive braids.
"Oh my, they are exotic", Normont whispers to the others and nods in the direction of the cat-folk and their green skinned, tusked companion. "With them around, I don't suppose our little group will get as much attention".
(OOC: @DM - Are we talking half-orc with the two tabaxi?)
( Technically on Exandria we are talking an Uniya ( shared elven/orc ancestry from Marquet and two Tabaxi....possibly Katari if they are also from Marquet.)
Dev can hardly help but stare, except for the moments when he is gawking outright. His curiosity feeds a stampede of whispered questions to the others about the exotic trio. Do they eat the same food as us? Do they ever get cold? Can they talk to trees? Do they go ‘meow’?, seeking answers to all the things a more worldly upbringing might have taught him before he’d celebrated his tenth birthday.
Lokilia settles down at the table to await the food being brought. She too finds the Tabaxi and Uniya interesting, though perhaps not as obviously as Dev. "Why would you think they could talk to trees?" she asks, curious as to what his line of reasoning might be.
Magnus thanks the dwarf for the info and joins his friends.
This place seems to have a cling effect on Magnus as he truly relaxes in the tavern and enjoys the food that is brought to the table, sampling everything. He also orders a couple glasses of wine as well to go with his meal. He is also very curious of the trip as he has never seen the like before at least not this up close and personal. He nods a hello in their direction and raises his glass to toast them just as a friendly gesture and then goes back to enjoying the company. He definitely cocks his head when hears the tree and meow question and chuckles at the thought.
Eventually he will remind the others that they have a long day of travel in front of them and he needs his sleep and is very much looking forward to sleeping in a bed tonight instead of the hard ground. He also suggests that if they need to stock up any supplies they should do so early and then they can hit the road before noon.

" What sort of figure were you thinking of?"

The dwarf looks surprised but nods, " Well, that sounds fair, as long as your all close friends...not a lot of privacy but its a done deal."
He reaches under the bar and pulls out an iron key with a wooden tag in the shape of a wheatsheaf and the number 201 on it and hands it to Quinn.
" 2nd Floor 1st on your right."

As far as Dev can pick up they appear to mostly be discussing wool prices and the bedroom habits of one of their colleagues...

Red splashes Dev’s cheeks.
“Um, because they’re… green? Like, um… a plant? The one in the middle.”
Even as the words come out the bard knows this is not his proudest moment.
