Normont will remain within the castle and try and find someone who can arrange a meeting between the group and Cassandra de Rolo, The Guardian of Woven Stone and head of the Chamber of Whitestone.
He will use whatever means he can to gain an audience, without mentioning the true purpose of the meeting, which is to discuss the Nameless Ones. Perhaps he uses the letter of commendation he received from the Pale Lord of Wardship, with the note that Lord Percival is interested in the dirt the Galador's used. Or perhaps he mentions the tower or the far gate portal, or the dragon which has taken up residence not too far away.
His purpose is to meet in a couple of days, rather than immediately, knowing she is busy and wanting time to gather intel.
After that, he will go back to his grandfather's place as agreed, unless Quinn has anywhere else he wants to go.
Quinn will want to go to the market to see if they can learn anything from the people on the street. He learned from his city guard days that the people know a lot.
Lokilia says goodbye to Balaran, giving him an awkward wave as he heads out with Dev.
"It did seem like a lot of names," Lokilia agrees. "Maybe we let Normont know and it will mean something to him. Or more likely, it might mean something if we get the information to... well, whoever might help us. I think if we could find out who the leader is it might make dealing with this easier." At that point, she kind of hesitates, and walks along without saying much for a bit. It seems she really isn't paying much attention, just following wherever Dev goes.
Finally, she speaks up in a bit more serious voice. "This seems like quite a lot to be taking on ourselves. The Unamed seem like a scary group. But we can't just let them get away with... whatever it is they are trying to do."
Dev finds himself walking toward Glinnick’s place, his heart bristling at the threats the glamoured messenger conveyed that morning at Normont’s grandfather’s workshop.
“Yeah… I feel the same way.” Dev offers a thin smile, its warmth undercut by the tension of thinking about this group of outlaws spying on them all the time. “If they’re doing the same thing here as they did in Kymal, then it seems like they can spread a lot of fear and discomfort. But they’ve already done something worse. They kidnapped one of the…” his voice dips to a whisper “Grey Hunt. And they’re holding that person, like as a ransom or insurance. I mean, I don’t want to let them get away with that. We should try to find the captive and free them. And I bet when we do, they, the prisoner, will have learned a lot about what the Nameless Ones are actually up to and why they need the, um, latitude that they’re buying with their hostage?"
A light seems to suddenly shine in Dev's eyes. "I have an idea… the Ocici mercantile family owes us all favors. Let’s cash those in and maybe they have some magic or something that can lead us to the prisoner. The messenger this morning said the captive is not in Whitestone, or implied it. That’s kind of the only clue we have.”
Dev pulls up short when he realizes he has led Lokilia to the area around Glinnick’s place. He continues in an undertone. “I didn’t realize I was walking this way. Must have been, like, subconscious? Because I was also thinking, if we got inside Glinnick’s, unseen, maybe we could find some clues to where the captive is?”
"Glinnick's?" Lokilia responds, surprised to find herself and Dev there. "You think we should just sneak in there?" She studies the building, curious who might be inside and wondering if even now they're already being watched.
She had been lost in her thoughts, not paying attention. But here they were. Perhaps... "Did you have a plan Dev?"
Dev really didn't know where his feet were taking him and he looks up in shock to find that the pair were almost to the street where Glinnick's is, just around the corner. It's a good thing Dev usually takes alleyways and side streets, following long experience in Drynna keeping out of view of potential assailants. Lokilia sees, plainly written on his face, that there was no plan at all. The tiefling pulls up his hood quickly and pulls back from the end of the alley, hiding and keeping Lokilia out of view from the end of the alley if he can. (Stealth: Crit! 20+4=24)
"I... don't know what I was thinking, but...," he starts, voice lowered, as his mind races through what he knows about the place. (He's surveilled the house before. Is there a back door? Where did he see the face/form he thought he recognized as part of the messenger's true form, or other guise? In a window? On the street? Any clues as to how they might sneak in? Perception from prior reconnaissance: 14+2=16).
(OOC: Maybe we can come up with a plan for later & all four of us come back after dark?)
Seeing that Dev did not really seem to have a plan, Lokilia follows along with him as he tries to get out of view. (Stealth: 14) "We should get Normont and Quinn before we get into too much trouble here," she says with a whisper. "Maybe a brief look from here to check out the place, but then we should go." She seems a little more nervous the longer they linger here.

Lokilia spotted two individuals on watch down the street but Devs wandering and almost subconcious way of moving through the semi-crowded streets seemed to have prevented them from noting Lokilia and Dev at this point.

Devs eyes scanned the building for any changes, he knew there was a side entrance in an alleyway and a set of wooden stairs that led up to a door on the 1st floor ( 2nd in the US). The building was joined to a row of townhouses on the other side and its rear wall was shared with a large mercantile warehouse that faced onto the street behind. Dev- tried to recall where he had seen the face before but was unable to.....he was fairly sure it was one of the top windows or perhaps the doorway at the top of the stairs.

Normont- and Quinn exited the library and after a few moments they were addressed by a woman in dark livery who introduced herself as Jeanine, she seemed a little reticent at first to bring him to Lady Cassandras attention but after some subtle mentions of Lord Percival De Rolos interest she promised to arrange a meeting for the morning two days hence.
They both noted a small red skinned tieflings girl with a stuffed owlbear tucked under one arm watching them from the corners and doorways of various rooms as they passed through the castle.
Quinn will want to go to the market to see if they can learn anything from the people on the street. He learned from his city guard days that the people know a lot.
As they headed back and over the next day or so Quinn led a very relaxed ' investigation' as he roamed the streets checking in with traders and shoppers and passersby very much as Normont recalled from his own days as a junior guardsman.
Quinn discovers nothing groundbreaking but there are rumbles from some of the merchants about ore shortages and some of the wholesalers acting shady or refusing to do business. He also hears a number of rumours about people who have disappeared or left town abruptly.
“Let’s go,” Dev says, after refreshing his memory of the locale, and backs away with Lokilia, retracing their steps.
(Do we have any idea where the Ocici family keeps lodgings/offices/shop in Whitestone? Any sign of the family arms while we’ve been here?)
( It only takes a few minutes of conversation with local vendors to locate a warehouse and attached office operating near the eastern wall. It seems a little nebulous as to whether there are any actual family present or simple business representatives.)
Dev politely knocks on a door. “Hello?” His eyes find Lokilia’s, does everything seem ok?
“I was thinking… about Glinnicks,” he whispers as they wait for a response, “What if I went to the front door and like distracted whoever is inside while Amber snuck into a window to look for clues?”

Quinn will want to know which ore is in short supply and the names of the shady wholesalers. Lastly, the names of people who have gone missing.
Lokilia glances back at Dev as they wait for a response at the Ocici warehouse. "It's not a bad idea to send in Amber. Although just walking up to the door puts you at a bit of a risk, don't you think Dev?"

"I guess," Dev agrees. "But not a big risk? Like, if they wanted to kill me they've had opportunity. I don't think that's high on their list of priorities. Hurt me for disturbing them? Maybe. But I'm not afraid of getting hurt. It's happened before and, well. I'm here," he shrugs, without bluster.
Lokilia gives Dev a look of concern. She's proud of him for being able to stand up to getting hurt. But also a little sad because it seems that he's just used to it. "You shouldn't have to just put up with getting hurt," she says softly. "It is a good plan though."
Normont thanks Jeanine for the appointment with Lady Cassandra, and makes to leave the castle, Maggie in tow and Amber perched on his shoulder.
The next time he spots the little tiefling girl on the way out, he smiles and waves at her.
"That is Gwendolyn de Rolo, daughter of Lord Percival and Lady Vex'ahlia. I think I told Dev a long time ago that they had a daughter like him", he whispers to Quinn.
He heads back to wait at his Grandfather's, ready to swap information with Dev and Lokilia.
(OOC: Sounds like it is best not to assume anything for the next two days, bearing in mind Dev and Lokilia's discussion, but he did tell Archivist Pren he would be back the following day, likely late afternoon)
