Zemeia shifts her footing, trying to get an angle of purchase against the frog and swing her mace to hit it around the eye, even though it has taken hold of her other arm. Despite the difficult situation, she seems calm given the circumstances, shouting aloud, "Everyone else stay back or you'll get caught up by the tongues! Focus fire on one at a time until all are down!"
Next round! One frog left that's already taken a hit! Feel free to find your fellow students afterward as well if you wish. While they helped escort people away from the fighting, most everyone is still standing around outside waiting to hear what happened!
Grinning before quickly composing themself Darby attempts to finish the final engorged frog with their whipping attack as Sprocket again harries for aid.

Aard'len looks around at the fallen frogs, and quickly follows suit trying to understand what has happened here. He sends his mind out to Katar, "Katar, here's your journalistic break. Can you try and gather everyone, see if you can find out where these frogs came from?" Then he cautiously approaches the frogs, partly to see if he can identify which was which, and partly to check that the corpses are exactly that. His fear that whatever caused them to mutate might have other after-effects.

The enlarged frogs, now dealt with, lay silent on the floor of the cafe. Most of the students from before have already left for other parts of the campus, usual activities beginning to resume, and the little gnome lady that runs the cafe perks back up from behind her counter. "Oof! Don't see that every day now do ya! Um, don't worry about the frogs, I can find someone to help dispose of them. Anyone want a tea to help calm down before you go?" You can see a few of your other fellow students though still lingering around the entrance, perhaps waiting to see if you are all alright.

The dwarf then sighs loudly recalling Sprocket too as the mechanical owl returns to it's ball form and plops into Darby's hand. "These extra curricular activities are sure...extra," they say looking at the dead frogs curiously.

Idelisa makes her way over closer to where the frogs had been and the others are gathered. "That was quick work. Nicely done. You all are really unhurt?"
She turns her attention to the gnome that runs the cafe. "I would not mind a bit of tea as well." She then steps closer to Darby. "And your little owl is not only beautiful it's also really useful! What was it you were calling it?"
Aisla nods quickly and begins brewing up some tea, a relaxing blend of herbs and spices, pouring out steaming cups for Darby and Idelisa and placing them on the counter for them to retrieve when ready. "Goodness that's going to haunt me for a few nights I think! I'm glad you were all here though! And thank you for stepping up to help like that."
Unfortunately, Darby and Idelisa can't seem to make sense of what was going on with the frogs yet.
"I wonder who stood to gain from this sort of disruption, " Darby asks aloud sipping their tea. "Surely a prank like the one before isn't meant to be dangerous," they add mulling over their tea.
DM is it possible to make a nature or an arcane roll to see if either were enacted to create these mutations?

(I did start a post yesterday, but never got it actually posted. Aard'len was inspecting the frogs, but rolled a 7 on Perception, even with Guidance it only matches Idelisa, so he's blissfully unaware)
Aard'len manages to conduct a search of the frogs, but finds little of interest beside the obvious that they are large frogs... He even tries to identify the little orange fella that he had so recently been backing, but the colourful markings seem muted in the mutation. Searching amongst the crowd of students that have lingered, Aard'len tries to take stock of the faces he is familiar with and ensure there were no serious injuries. In fact, for all the clamour again, the incident appears to have been relatively harmless. He wanders back over to Darby and Idelisa, nodding a greeting to Aisla. "Do you have some iced water perhaps? I'm always surprised how long it takes the faculty to get to incidents like this, considering this is a school of magic we do employ a lot of mundane means of communication and travel"
"Iced water? Certainly! This is usually a hot place, but no reason I can't cool it off for ya!" The gnome giggles and dashes behind the counter and returns a moment later with a tall glass of crystal clear cold water that appears to be enchanted to stay cold. "Enjoy!" She beams at Aard'len.
Aard'len sips his water and thanks Aisla. Hearing Idelisa's question he is a little surprised, the story of the orientation day trunk mimic has spread like wildfire, and been gossiped about for weeks. He steps in, answering the question as Darby is drinking their tea. "Did you arrive to Strixhaven late? There was a trunk that caused a scare. We were unfortunately caught up in that too. Our dorm has a knack of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Might be that's why so we've seen a couple come and go."
"Oh! You guys were involved with that trunk in the Biblioplex?" She shakes her head, "I heard, but didn't realize that you! So was that just a prank by the LARP group? I never heard an explanation for why it happened."
She continues to sip at her tea. "I can't imagine anyone benefiting from students getting injured. Maybe if they wanted to stop frivolous activities like that frog race. But, still don't see why anyone would want that."
