Based on that initiative roll, I believe you.

Combat order is: Elila, Nothic, Ridelk, Kitryn, Leek and Katerielle.

Elila goes first.

Elila moves down to J10 to face the Nothic. She attacks!

Attack: 14 Damage: 11

Elila jumps down into the crevasse next to the Nothic and swings her longsword at it... but it just bats it out of the way.

It retaliates by trying to claw Elila twice, screeching in your minds, "I eat you!":

Claw Attack: 22 Damage: 4

Claw Attack: 5 Damage: 8

Elila gets hit once by a claw but manages to block the other.

(everyone else gets to go).

Rin casts fire bolt at the nothic then retreats to 8G.

Attack: 23 Damage: 2

Katariel moves forward and casts Faery Fire, then retreats back.

Rindelk peeks around the corner and casts a Firebolt at the Nothic, landing a glancing hit.  Katerielle steps forward, peeks around the corner and casts [spell[Faerie Fire[/spell]...

Nothic DEX saving throw vs. DC 13: 13

... and the ground all around and behind the Nothic begins to glow, but not the Nothic itself.

(Faerie Fire didn't work on the Nothic.)

alright, i move into melee. whats the deal with the gully? is it wide enough to be side on or is it too narrow and i gotta go around to be behind.

Nothing special, more story than complicated terrain. 

Kitryn swings around the column and launches herself at the Nothic, trying to stab the eye.  The Nothic is adept at protecting its head, but Kitryn does score a gash across the face.

(Leek's turn.)

sling to the eye!

Leek twirls his sling and flings a stone right at the Nothic's eye.  Seeing the stone coming, it blinks, but the Nothic's reaction shows its pain.

(Back to Elila).

Elila Attacks!!!

Attack: 8 Damage: 8

Having blocked one claw attack but failed to avoid the other, Elila slashes at the arm that got past her defenses and scores a deep gash.

The Nothic, angered by the stone to the eye, gazes at Leek...

(Leek make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw.)

Attack: 24 Damage: 8

sneak bonus : 4

2nd blade: Attack: 11 Damage: 5

I do my little in and out again and cast Fire Bolt

Attack: 14 Damage: 17
