"Yes, tomorrow, of course it's tomorrow. I knew that", Guardok says almost sure of his own words as he answers Professor Sharpbeak. "And yes I have my timetable, but I don't know Piero's. Although we must all have Magical Physiologies".
As they speak of him staying elsewhere, he blurts out, "You think he has a girl friend here? That would explain a lot. You know, maybe I should just leave a note on his bed asking him. I am sure he comes back on occasion, and he can reply to it if I am not there".
"A girlfriend," Mei gasps, hands cupping both cheeks now. She scoots over to the information desk, hoping for more... information. That's when it does finally occur to her that Professor Sharpbeak keeps calling the other woman Miss Dresar, rather than how Lesviel referred to her. She looks curiously between the two, wondering what dynamic is at play here.
((Can Mei attempt to insight check this? Does it seem intentional that Professor Sharpbeak isn't referring to her as a colleague?))
Mae hears the potential explanation for the floormate's odd hours and gets a look, before striding by Professor Flintwind, offering a light smile, "Perhaps I'll see you another time"she says softly before turning around. In a louder voice to everyone else nearby but only just so, "I'm going back to my room if you need me anymore tonight." Then unless someone stops her, she will return to her room as stated.
Professor Sharpbeak nods to Professor Flintwind. "What classes does he have?" The Aasimar reads from the paper, "Inkomancy with Professor Fain at 8, then Professor Ruxa - Computational Magic, a bit of a break then Basic Auras with Professor Lamplebemple at mid-day, and ending with Magical Physiologies with Professor Lang." She hands the paper over to the Owlin who looks it over. "Hmm, well, I can only hope that he somehow figured out his schedule since he didn't pick it up today!" She looks over at Lesviel. "We really should make sure he knows his schedule. This is no way to start out!"
With the attention turned from her, Professor Flintwind gives Maea slight smile. "I work the Biblioplex most the time when I'm not teaching. Feel free to ask for me if you ever wish to talk."
"Pass me the schedule, I will leave it on his bed if you like, Guardok offers helpfully. "I don't have anything with him until the end of the day. I guess we won't be studying together much".
As he watches Mae leave, he also wonders what is left to do here.
"Is there anything else we need here? Or can we go get some food?", he asks, hoping the others were done.
"I don't... think so?" Mei replies, giving it some thought. She glances at Malvyn, wondering what his next step for their investigation might be. It certainly seemed as though they were the only ones worried about it.
"Would you rather go back to the dining hall? Or if everyone still wanted to check the tavern, I'd happily treat you all to dinner there! I don't mind either way."
Turning to the professors, Mei bows and gives them both a tired, but bright smile. "Thank you for, um, speaking with us, Professor Sharpbeak. And your help, Professor Flint--erhm," she looks at the Owlin professor then back to the aasimar, unsure of what to call her, "Miss Dresar? Professor Miss?"
The purple-skinned tiefling simply gives Mae a nod as she leaves for Dresar Hall, then feeling frustration growing again as they seem to get no nearer finding out what happened to their mysterious floor mate. "Yes, food, now." He almost grunts with a nod to the genasi. As Mei mentions the tavern he perks up slightly but he was still ready to follow along to wherever they decided to eat.
Professor Flintwind hands over the paper to Guardok. "A good idea, right Professor Sharpbeak?" The Owling nods, "Yes, yes. A good idea. Hopefully he will see that in time. And I'll check in on this other student." She then turns to the group of students as they start to leave. "Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. Hopefully we'll have more information on both issues very soon."
"Thank you professor."The purple-skinned tiefling says with a polite smile to the owlin, then, not knoweing the way to the tavern, he turns to Professor/Miss Flintwind/Dresar. "Can we bother you with the directions to the tavern too, assuming it serves food at this hour." He says, giving the bespectabled angelic aasimar a curious look over her curious behaviour.
The Aasimar gives Meia smile. "No longer Dresar; Professor Flintwind now." After Guardokgrabs the class schedule sheet, she then turns to him and Malvyn, "The Bowsend Tavern opens at 6pm." She glances at one of the nearby clocks in the Biblioplex. "Just a bit more than a half hour. Probably won't be music until a bit later. But if you head west from here you'll find it. It's right at the end of the big Star Arch going over the Biblioplex."
"Thank you Professor Flintwind."The purple-skinned tiefling gives the aasimar a polite smile and a grateful nod, giving her another curious look. He wondered briefly if she had met her partner here at Strixhaven, somehow it seemed probable, was he or she even another professor? Cosidering he would hopefully be working at the Biblioplex he would most likely find out in time.
"A stroll through campus and then the Bowsend Tavern when it opens?"He then turns and suggests to the others with a shrug.
“You’re married,” Mei says, stating the obvious. “Did you meet them here? Oh, that’s so romantic,” she enthuses dreamily. “My parents met here too. Witherbloom and Quandrix. Though my mother had to leave when she got si—“ Mei realizes the others are walking a way and squeaks with surprise. “Ah, sorry! I should—“ she blinks at the Aasimar professor, wishing she had time to ask more about her partner, but reluctantly hurries after her floormates, giving Professor Flintwind a little wave over her shoulder.
Catching up, she hears just the last of Guardok’s words. “I hope I didn’t make her feel pressured to perform. She sang so beautifully during the hunt a-and you have such stage presence, I just thought…” Mei nibbles at her lower lip in worry, purple gaze sliding towards their hall as she wonders if she should go apologize.
"She's most likely just tired after the day's events..." The purple-skinned tiefling says with a polite smile, himself feeling quite tired too but his curiosity over this tavern kept him going still. "...maybe she will find her way to the tavern once she has rested a bit, she did sing quite beautifully, I sincerely hope she will share more with us soon." He adds with a brief somewhat dreamy smile, then looking around to make sure all those who would like to come along did so before heading out with Guardok and Mei.
Mei could certainly relate to being tired. "I hope she gets some rest... not everyone got to fall asleep against someone else's back," she says with a light-hearted wince and slight blush up at Malvyn. "S-Sorry, by the way."
Feeling her embarrassment over invading his space threatening to turn her into a beet, she retreats and falls into stride next to Guardok. "Did you end up bringing any of your instruments? You must be quite good with your hands to be able to play so many," she notes with a curious look down at said hands and then her own--uncalloused and not musically inclined in the slightest. "You had a, um... a dagger earlier as well, right? And now you have a rapier! Sort of a jack of all trades." She thinks of how useless she was during the mimic attack--her spell energy gone and no ability to defend herself or others. Her fingers furl and unfurl from fists. "I should probably learn how to use something besides magic."
"It's...it's okay..."The purple-skinned tiefling says a bit awkwardly, smiling back down at the sweet but peculiar purple-haired girl, then about to say something more, but hesitating long enough for Mei to move on to Guardok. Deflating a bit he instead decides to wait for his room mate to catch up. "Perhaps you have a satyric serenade for us later Knap, after enough wine of course?" Malvyn says with an encouraging smile. It felt quite adventurous for the tiefling to go to a tavern, maybe even to drink wine, something he had barely tasted back in Baldur's Gate.
(OOC - In case anyone saw this earlier, yes I've changed it up! Given Gnomesftw comment, we'll continue in this thread. If others choose to join the group at the tavern later they may jump in.)
With Mei, Malvyn, Guardok, and Knapheading for the Bow's End Tavern, the others make their way back to Dresar Hall or other destinations. They follow the directions Professor Flintwind had provided, the massive star arch above the Biblioplex rather obvious in the air above. After winding your way around on a few paths, you find yourself in an area with a neatly manicured lawn surrounded by some trees ready to shed their leaves. Just ahead you see a squat-looking building, with gleaming wooden exterior carved in overlapping Strixhaven star motifs. Along the front there is a fenced-off outdoor patio. A small stage is set up there and a number of doors head inside. The area is empty at the moment.
You can see some light coming from inside and roughly a dozen people moving about. Most seem to be students, though dressed as wait staff rather than the more traditional uniforms. A few seem to be running around a bit, though most seemed to just be chatting near what looks to be a bar.
(NOTE: The group is just outside the patio - marked E1)

(I would say you can infer the following from Passive Insight:
Professor Flintwind does not seem all that upset at the use of the name 'Dresar' by Professor Sharpbeak.
Professor Sharpbeak seems oblivious to any issue with 'Dresar' and seems quite familiar with the Aasimar woman.)
