Mei too cheers on the show band as the performance concludes, trying her very best to whistle with two fingers but doing little more than making a raspberry noise.
Whenever they’re able and if they can find her, she’d go to congratulate Mae (likely with Larine) on her first concert.
Guardok spends the majority of the performance as a satellite percussionist, following along to with the beat by tapping his thighs with his palms. Of course, not during the French horn solo.
Once it is over, he joins in the applause, standing on his chair and clapping his hands above his head so he can be seen.
Cadoras notices Mei'sdifficulty whistling and shows her how it's done, producing a high-pitched shrill sound. He's soon laughing too much at the attempts that turn to raspberry's that he can't keep it up for long. Once he recovers a bit from the laughter though, he says, "Perhaps I can teach you some time. You just have to get your lips just right." He then pauses, "Not that your lips aren't right. They're great! Uh... I mean, I suppose they're really nice. No! I mean, normal. Just normal." He then slowly says, "Maybe just forget I said anything?"
As Maeheads backstage and starts packing up, she is mostly alone. Many of the others are chatting amongst themselves and talking about the performance now that it has concluded. After a few moments, just before she's ready to go, Lesvielcomes over to her. "What a great concert! Did you have fun Maeleve?" She had been speaking with what you assume were her friends just moments ago, but she seems to have come over just by herself.
Aurora and Rubina had been chatting for a moment, but you notice them heading backstage as well just behind Lesviel.
Looking about, you don't see Larine anywhere. But it does seem like many of the musicians seem to be trickling out into the foyer of the auditorium from a side door. You presume that is how they would exit.
(OOC - Maewould see there's a door to the foyer as well as another door that heads out the back as well.)
Mae smiled tiredly at Lesviel, "It was a very interesting experience. The music was quite good." She straightened up and shouldered her things. "I don't think I did that well, but I'm sure future performances will be better." She smiled again with a slight shrug. "Shall we go find our floor mates?"She started heading to the door that led to the foyer, ready to go out and meet the others.
Mei's fingers drop from her mouth, lips puckered as though she's still trying to whistle. Not only will she most certainly not forget what Cadoras said, but she'll likely replay the words in her mind over and over for the rest of the day. And tomorrow. And likely the next day too.
"Y-You can teach my lips--me, I mean me! I want to get my--" her eyes flick down to his mouth then up again, "--lips right. My just normal lips. W-Whistling is quite a useful skill, after all! For signaling or... to get someone's attention or perhaps even increasing lung... capacity." Again, her gaze slides slowly down from his eyes, thoughts stumbling over themselves. The clatter of a dropped cymbal snaps her back to reality and she suddenly bursts, "GUARDOK, CAN YOU WHISTLE TOO? WE SHOULD GO FIND MAE!"
With a squeak of embarrassment and then in a puff of shimmering mist, the young wizard disappears. She reappears in a swirl of purple petals 30 feet closer to the door to the foyer, where she assumes the musicians will be exiting through. She tries once more to whistle to let the boys know where she ended up, but, well... it's just raspberries again. She really should learn how to whistle.
"Sure, let's find them,"Lesvielsays. Just as Mae starts to head towards the foyer, Larine shows up. "Hi. It was a good show," she says quietly, looking around at all the people backstage.
Rubina and Aurora join the group of Lesviel, Mae, and Larine. "I think we did a good job out there," Rubina says. Even as she speaks, one of the aides for the band comes over to Aurora. She's carrying a handful of boquets. She hands the dahlia's to her then dashes off looking for others. Rubina raises an eyebrow. "Wow. Flowers. And clearly as dark as you are!"
As Meisuddenly blinks over towards the door to the foyer, Cadoras quickly follows. "Hey, don't leave me in the dust. Or a shimmering mist!" As far as either of them can see, there is no sign of anyone they know from the band yet.
As the orchestra leaves the stage, Malvyn gets up and moves along with the rest of the audience towards the exit, hoping to find a place where he can meet up with Aurora and the other muscians.
Mae perked up a little when Larine showed up, smiling a bit more. "Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. We're just heading out now, come on." She gave Larine a slight bump as she looked at the others and the bouquet of black flowers given to Aurora. "Those are very dark indeed!" Mae then turned back to Larine and smiled again, gesturing back out through the door to the foyer to meet up with the others.
Larine looks a touch disappointed when Maemotioned her back towards the foyer. But she stepped over to the door, opening it up to hold it for the others. Lesvielheads out, along with Rubina and Aurora.
Cadoras and Mei lead their way into the foyer just as the other group emerges. Guardokand Malvynare not too far behind. Malvynwould see Aurora holds the black dahlia's. As soon as she spots the tiefling, she calls out to him. "Great choice of flowers Mal."
Lesvielcomes over, saying hello to the other floor-mates. "So great to see you all here for Mae's performance. I hope you enjoyed it!"
"Is there anything you don't absolutely rock at?", he says with a smile. "The rest of you were great as well, of course", he says to include Aurora, Lesviel and Mae if she appears.
The purple-skinned tiefling breaks out in a wide smile as he spots Aurora. "Thanks, I had advice from my roomie, but I'm reading up on botany to make more educated decisions in the future. This one is asscociated with elegance and mystery."He says with a knowing smile, looking between the bouquet and the raven-haired beauty. "And thanks for a great performance. It must be quite different than what you do at the tavern but quite entertaining." He says, giving Aurora a quick kiss on the cheek.
"So, is the orchestra celebrating at the Bow's End and if so can we simple mortals tag along and bask in your splendour?" Malvyn asks with bright smile.
Maeleve thought she saw something in Larine, but was quickly swept along by the enthusiasm of others, albeit a bit muted compared to everyone else. Her face changed as compliments were passed out, and Mal finally asked about celebrating at the tavern. She was about to respond but at the mention of 'simple mortals' she recoiled some and stood closer to Larine. "I-I don't know about the others," she said with a quick push of some of her hair back behind her ear, "but I think I just want to go back to my room."
Mei, too, congratulates the musicians on what she felt was a wonderful performance, giving Maeleve a glomp of a hug. "My favorite flutist! What a fun performance! All those instruments playing at once.... I don't know how you all do it!"
As Mae steps closer to Larine, the Dreamer features soften. "Of course. It's been a busy few weeks, hasn't it?" She looks to Guardok and Rubina, wondering how they had any energy left at all. "If I'd had all those rehearsals and performances, I'm pretty sure I'd need to sleep for a week."
Rubina smiles at Guardok. "It was merely a performance. Not particularly difficult. But thank you." She looks around at the others. "I did think it went well. I'm glad you all came."
Aurora had come over to Malvyn and gave him a brief peck on the cheek, her hands full of the flowers. "It was quite different, and I think the group did well. It wasn't really my best performance though I don't think." She shrugs a little. "A bit less freedom to just do what I want, I guess. It's a good learning experience."
Larine glance at Mae, "I'd be glad to accompany you."
Lesvielthen speaks up. "I do think a number of the band members are headed to the Bow's End. You all should really come! And of course everyone is welcome."
At Mei'scomment, Rubina glances over to Guardok. "Well, I might have the energy for a very brief visit to the Bow's End. But then it will be time for that rest." Cadoras just says, "I'm just following the purple-haired one. Her wish is my command!"
As the group is chatting and making plans as to whether or not to go on to the tavern, you notice Pierois just exiting the building with a young human woman close at his side.
"I assume we're going to the tavern too dear?"The purple-skinned tiefling says quietly to Aurora as his curious fiery-red eyes follows the young woman at Piero's side, trying to determine if he recognizes her from somewhere.
"I'll happily raise a quick mug to the show band at the Bow's End", Guardok replies.
Seeing Piero he waves at his roommate, "Hey Piero. Were you performing?". He didn't think Piero had mentioned he was in the show band, but he wasn't certain.
"It is?" Mei replies to Cadoras with owlish surprise. She's sure it's a coincidence, but the protagonist of one of her favorite romances says, "as you wish," as a declaration of devotion. And she can't help the way her heart flutters at the similarity.
"I-I'd certainly be happy to join for a toast or two before my midnight rituals."
Her attention is likewise caught by Piero's appearance. And his company.
Mae takes Larine's hand and gives it a gentle squeeze. "We will see you all later, have a good evening, and thank you Rubina, Aurora, Lesviel, for your help and performance. I look forward to more later." She smiled gently and then started to head out.
"It's fine with me to go to the Bow's End. Be interesting to go without having a show to do," Aurora says to Malvyn.
By the time Guardokwaves and tries to speak to Piero, he has already disappeared outside and clearly cannot hear what he was saying.
Cadoras doesn't quite seem to get Mei'squestion, but simply answers, "Of course! Come on, lets get to the tavern before there's no more places to sit!"
The group is soon outside to head for the Bow's End. Once you are out there you are unable to locate Pieroagain or his companion. She did not seem immediately recognizable, but it was also hard to get much of a look at her.
It doesn't take long to get there. Inside is indeed packed as it seems a large portion of the Show Band has come. And of course, friends as well. It's a bit of a chaotic scene.
Mei too cheers on the show band as the performance concludes, trying her very best to whistle with two fingers but doing little more than making a raspberry noise.
