Bryony nods toward Kimberley before joining Quinn and the others. She gives Aros a curious look.
"I take it he's no Redbrand," she says. "Kimberley and I heard laughter coming from down that passageway to the southwest. There are probably more Redbrands about. We should be careful."
The halfling looks around for Ssarnak but realizes he has disappeared, apparently satisfied with his new prey. She represses a shudder. "Did I hear something about scouting? I can do that. What's this about a cloak? A disguise?"
Sticking the copper and keys in his pocket, he turns to the group. “Not a Redbrand, Aros Jassan. The cloak will save us the headache of another fight next door. Put one on and grab the other.”
Aros feels along the wall. He pushes where he thinks he came through before.
Bryony looks at the cloaks skeptically. They were all made for tall people, and she barely cracks 3 feet.
"I don't think a cloak will disguise that Jurgen and I aren't Redbrands," she points out. Jurgen is even shorter than she is. "I think I'll have to rely on my natural talent for being sneaky."
"Uh...well, Aros says the Drendars are being held captive up top somewhere. It appears there may be some sort of hidden door here that gives access to the upper level.
But, there is one wrinkle here. He says skeletons roam up top and they attack anyone who isn't shielded by these cloaks. So, if you and Jurgen go without the cloaks, you open yourselves up to attacks from these skeletons.
Did..did you say you heard more Redbrands down that corridor? Perhaps we should start there and acquire some more cloaks.
What do y'all think?"

Aros and Jurgen quickly find the sliding panel in the eastern wall of the storeroom.
Aros wears one red cloak. A second red cloak is on the dead woman on the floor nearby. A third cloak was on the male goon, but his body was dragged into the crevasse a moment ago. So there are two red cloaks immediately available, including the one Aros wears.
"I hope Ssarnak isn't a messy eater" Syzygy says as exits the store room and walks to where he saw Ssarnak slink into the dark.
Taking a knee at the crevice edge, Syzygy removes a hunting trap from his backpack and places it to his side. "Ssarnak, I have something that can help you trap wriggly things. Bring me the Redbrands belongings, keys and cloak and I'll give it to you." Syzygy couldn't help but want to look upon the creature again. Pity? fascination? He didn't know why.
Even if he hears no response Syzygy will leave the trap for Ssarnak to find.
...The interlopers will need to offer more than fiddly traps in exchange for Ssarnak's new treasures... Jewels, mayhaps? ...Coins? ...Weapons? ...Magics?...
Looking down, Syzygy sees Ssarnak below, holding the cloak (one detached hand still in the sleeve), key, and short sword up for you to examine from afar. Its mouth is smeared with gore, and its massive eye seems to stare into Syzygy's soul.
...You, hairless one, are a pet of the Matron of Death... ...You run, but you know you belong to her...
Aros opens up the hidden door. “There is a small hallway here. Then the skeleton room. I have not seen any others, but there may be some in here. The skeletons are to the right.” He points across the newly unveiled hallway to the door.
”We do have the previously mentioned idea of luring them in the hallway. Two of us could stay in the skeleton room and have the skeletons follow inside, then they are being attacked at both ends.”
Quinn looks over to Kimberly and waves to get her attention. He points in the direction of the path that Aros found, indicating that he's going with them. Quinn then puts on one of the cloaks and follows Aros into the room.
Quinn stops, looks around and takes in his surroundings. He's trying to get a lay of the land. Looking for threats or anything that he can use to his advantage in case things go awry.

Quinn dons the second red cloak and ventures into the hallway on the other side of the secret door.
Through the open door to the south, Quinn can see three large stone sarcophagi standing within a desolate crypt. Six skeletons in rusty mail are propped against the walls as if guarding the place. False columns along the walls are carved in the image of spreading oak trees. The double door in the southeast corner (closed) is sheathed in tarnished copper plate, and another single door (closed) leads east. Spread out upon the far sarcophagus is an open backpack and a pile of equipment. The skeletons are inert.
Kimberley and Bryony hear no further sounds from the hallway below. All is quiet.
Aros grabs the pack and equipment. He heads over to the East door. “They are in here. I will change into my things and you can lead them to the others with my cloak.”
He takes out the keys taken from the goon and opens the door. “Mirna, I’ve found some allies and we are getting you out of here.”
Quinn steps in and eyes the skeletons. He does not feel good about this. He thinks to himself "This is not good, six skeletons and who knows how many Redbrands lurking about"
He walks up to peer into the room with the Drendars.
"Hello, mum. Are you okay? I can only imagine what you've been through. We want to help you but you may have to hold on a bit longer."
He leans in close to Aros and whispers "Perhaps we should scout more before commiting to this plan. There's six skeletons here and six of us. Bryony and Kimberly heard more Redbrands carousing somewhere downstairs. We're outnumbered here. Hows about we take out the Redbrands first?"

"Good. Get us out of here," exclaims Mirna to Aros. But Aros finds that Tuki''s key is much too small for this padlock. It's the wrong key.
Quinn examines the room. It's a long room partitioned into three areas, with iron bars walling off the north and south. Filthy straw lines the floors of both cells, the hinged doors of which are secured by chains and padlocks. A pair of human women and a human boy are held in the cell to the north. The cell to the south is empty, its door open.
"If you get us out of here safely," responds Mirna to Quinn, "I can direct you to a hidden reward you may have if you can find it. Very valuable, an emerald necklace. Yours if you can get us out of here."
"We gonna help you and your family. It just might take a bit longer."
Quinn looks to Aros with an idea.
"Doesn't look like that key's gonna work. Let's check that other room and take it from there? Have you looked in those sarcophagus yet? I wonder if theres anything useful inside.
He nods at the Drendars and then heads out into the other room. Quinn walks up close, face to skull with one of the skeletons. He looks into heir eye sockets.
