The twig blight (TB2) slashes Marten's leg as he looks for any cover from the swarm of woody monsters. Spotting a window, Marten slips past Nosam and jumps through the broken window in the crumbling wall of the cottage. He lands outside the building and immediately turns to steady himself, taking aim at the creature who hit him. As soon as he fires his crossbow, he calls out, "We got six plant monsters in th' cottage!", and then reloads his crossbow.

Berry looks around and notes that he is surrounded by twig blights. They aren't all attacking him, but most do. He considers to cut one in half with his scimitar but ultimately decides to remain defensive and avoid their attacks on his person as much as possible. Hopefully, he can keep them busy for the others to cut down a few.

Perrin imbues his quarterstaff with sacred energies, calling upon Tymora to guide his blows. The weapon is briefly illuminated in a silvery nimbus before its diminutive wielder swings at the strange plant creatures.
Movement: Probably don't need any, but will close any distance to melee with his opponent (#8) if necessary.

as the blight slashes at vidruth he pulls something from his pouch, a small hand, and with a curling gesture and a muttered "gruumsh witness" a much larger hand rips itself from the ground between the two closest blights (I4) and grabs at the one who just cut him #7 "ill get there in a moment" he promises the others "hard to cast with this bastard up in my face"
action: cast Maximilian's Earthen Hand on I4, where it attacks blight #7 (blight must make a DC 13 strength save or take 6 bludgeoning damage and be restrained)
(noting concentration here, 'hand' round 1/10)

"Well these popped up rather quick."Nosam shrugs off most of the damage from the ones targeting him and quickly turns his attention to TB2 (one targeting Marten). "I'll get this one of ya."

Round 1 Results
Marten: Attack T2 w/ crossbow: 10 / 16HP
Berry: Dodge, draw attacks
Perrin: Attack #8 with quarterstaff 14 / 9HP
Vidruth: cast Maximilian's Earthen Hand on I4, where it attacks blight #7
Nosam: attack #2 with hammer: 14 / 4HP
Marten’s crossbow twangs as he takes a snapshot through the crumbling window, but the bolt passes in between two of the tough-wound, sinewy branches that make up the blight’s body and passes directly through it, cracking into splinters as it strikes the doorframe behind the blight.
Berry, darting among the surrounding attackers, draws their attacks to himself.
Perrin’s silver-glowing quarterstaff smashes into the nearest blight and with a sound like an overturned basket of kindling, it clatters into pieces.
Vidruth’s earthen hand snags the arm of the blight closest to him, which pulls away and seems about to escape, but the hand snaps around its entire body, closes its grip, shaking with effort, and with a loud crack!, the twig blight shatters and the pieces fall to the ground, inert.
Nosam’s hammer connects with one of the blights, sending wooden shards showering, motionless, to earth.
Round 2
The blights, unthinking, respond only to their deathly hunger. Sensing prey and blood and muscle nearby to feast upon, they continue their mindless assault.
Twig Blight (TB) 1: Claw vs. Berry - 14 to hit / 5 HP piercing
Twig Blight (TB) 2: Claw vs. Berry - 14 to hit / 5 HP piercing
Twig Blight (TB) 3: Claw vs. Berry - 5 to hit / 5 HP piercing
Twig Blight (TB) 4: Claw vs. Berry - 16 to hit / 5 HP piercing
Twig Blight (TB) 6: Claw vs. Nosam - 4 to hit / 2 HP piercing
Marten can't believe he missed! He takes aim at one of the many twig blights that surrounds Berry, impressed at the fairy's ability to defend himself from so many foes at once. If Marten didn't know better, it looks almost like they're playing a game. Or just dancing with him. Marten fires his crossbow at the twig blight that's nearest the door, hoping to clear the way for Berry and Nosam to get out of the building -- or for Perrin and Vidruth to get in. He wonders where they are and says loudly, "Vidruth, Perrin, you all right?", as he loads another crossbow bolt.
Movement: None. Action: Attack, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 8, Damage: 17 Bonus Action: Steady Aim (advantage on the attack as long as Marten does not move / speed = 0' during his turn) Free Action: Talking. Item interaction - loading crossbow

In reply to Marten, Perrin calls out, "I'm alright, but I think Vidruth might have been scratched by these blighters." Perrin takes aim at a nearby one of the twig monsters, and a coruscating beam of silvery blue light emerges from his extended palm, the strands forming an undulating helix that hurtles toward the creature.
"reasonably unharmed" vidruth calls back, followed by a couple orcish expletives, and a bolt of flame as he moves to a better position (I4)
(firebolt, 11 to hit, 6 fire damage. targeting #2, #6, or #3, depending on whether the first choices die)

Round 2 Results
Marten: Crossbow 8 / 17
Nosam: Hammer v t6: 19 / 7HP
Perrin: Eldritch Blast v opponent in view: 18 /4HP
Vidruth: Firebolt v#2/6/3 11 / 6HP
Berry: dodge, drawing attacks
Marten’s aim is true, but at the moment he pulls the trigger, his target is smashed by Perrin’s twisting force beam and Marten's crossbow bolt flies through the exploding bundle of twigs to plunge into the doorframe with a "boing" sound.
Nosam’s hammer sends another rain of kindling to clack dryly against the crumbling cabin’s far wall.
Vidruth’s firebolt bursts against the doorframe, lighting Marten’s crossbow bolt aflame. The shaft shines brightly for a moment before being reduced to cinders.
Berry’s game of “tag you’re it” continues unabated, and the twig blights whip the air, entangling their limbs gracelessly as the fairy bobs and weaves among their cursed branches.
Round 3
The remaining blights continue their mindless assault:
Twig Blight (TB) 1: Claw vs. Berry - 10 to hit / 4 HP piercing

Twig Blight (TB) 4: Claw vs. Berry - 13 to hit / 3 HP piercing

Marten: Round 3
While Marten keeps missing, he's happy to see that Nosam and the others seem to making short work of the plant monsters, and Berry's acrobatic defenses are keeping the remaining ones tied up -- sometimes literally! Marten aims a shot in the narrow view he has past Nosam to one of the creatures that still surround Berry. Once he sees the effect of his latest shot, Marten calls out to Perrin and Vidruth, whom he still cannot see: "Jus' {three/two} of 'em left inside."
Movement: None. Action: Attack TB3, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 17, Damage: 15 Bonus Action: Steady Aim (advantage on the attack as long as Marten does not move / speed = 0' during his turn) Free Action: None.
Now that numbers are on their side, Berry decides that it is time to stop the play and get serious with his sword. He hadn’t expected that he could distract a group of enemies so efficiently but his patience has run its course. He swings his scimitar at the twig blight to his left (#1) hoping to cut it in two. Hopefully, that will end it and not add two smaller brushes to the fight, he thinks on hindsight.
vidruth curses, and gestures again, sending yet another small bolt of flame at the twig blight that he missed previously

The party may find themselves recalling tales of a famous circus acrobat, an aarakocra with incredible agility known in Neverwinter as Plume. And what is Plume’s act? A line of fifty crossbowmen form up at short range and fire real bolts at the performer. Imagine the reflexes, the twisting and twirling of its feathered body through the air as bolts pass above, below, to either side, within a hair's breadth, and when the act is done, the aarakokca called Plume -- unharmed! -- simply smiles, winks, and takes a bow. Now imagine a woodier, smaller, slower, earthbound version of the same act, and you have twig blight 3, which manages to avoid being hit by Marten, Vidruth, and Perrin’s attacks. Or perhaps it’s more like a gnome-invented mechanical target at a cheap dockside ball toss...
Round 4
Whatever comparisons might occur to the party, the reality remains the same. Twig blight 3 still stands. Indeed, with no change to its ferocious hunger, and now that Berry’s Plume-y evasiveness has diminished, the sinewy plant creature slashes its thorny thorns at the fairy once again.
