Starker: “We should leave. Now. Allow me to set an example.”
Starker call Cyrus over, slings him on his shoulder, and heads up to the top deck and then goes over to the other ship, urging the Captain to prepare to separate from the ghost ship as soon as the last party member has boarded, explaining the situation as best he understands it: “Empty. Portal to a location of spores and webs. A handful of crewmen armed themselves, probably went through the portal to meet their unpleasant fates. No one to help. I say we take off and fireball the entire ship from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.”
Kragen to Chadwick “no sign of crew other than what remains from their last meal and weapons which have been removed. I recommend we meet all on the deck and get the Captains take on the current condition.”
heads topside and carefully navigates back to the Rogues Respite (or whatever the name is??).
Kragen proceeds to detail the conditions to Captain Mallinora on the first cargo hold.
Chadwick; "Could the portal be draining the treant? Are they sentient? Should we save it? If it's this bad off after an hour wouldn't that mean that the original attack didn't happen that long ago?"
You see Kragen stop and pause for a few seconds, blushing addresses Starker. “Starker, given your arcane knowledge, do you believe Dispel Magic would have any impact on the portal?”
to the group “I am often humbled as I am reminded about my duties and oath as a follower of Tyr.” “We know not of what has transpired here however I am compelled to help this “entity” (gestures towards the treeant) and the crew appears is missing.”
“Let’s quickly confer with the Captain however I am going to attempt to arrest the decay of the Treeant and would ask help in closing the portal as it may be source of the decay.” “Maybe Mallinora will have more guidance on how to help?”
when the Rogues Respite is close enough, Kragen wil communicate with the Captain about the findings, and suggestions on how to help.
The Rogue's Respite pulls up along side the Transcendent Treant, stopping about 20 yards away. Shortly, Mallinora appears on deck. "What have you found?," she yells across the gap to you.
Chadwick; "Could the portal be draining the treant? Are they sentient? Should we save it? If it's this bad off after an hour wouldn't that mean that the original attack didn't happen that long ago?"
Ajax is very concerned about the treant being drained. We should attempt to save it, if possible.
Chadwick will yell back with a short synopsis of what they found during their investigation. The Chad is very good at yelling.
In addition; "Not only am I concerned about the treant, but the crews fate as well. This may not be our plane, but I can't just stand by while these things continue to take slaves for their infernal uses. My concern is if we were to go through the portal, how much longer will it hold with the rate the treant is failing. We need to try and communicate with it if possible."

"Captain, crew is not on board, Treeant appears to be dying, no struggle or fight observed other than some weapons gone from the Armory. All belongings and meal remnant's remain. 2nd cargo hold has some type of magical portal to another place, guessing?? Some type of webbing and mold spores found floating around the portal and in the hold."
"I intend to try and restore or heal the entity using Tyr's blessings"
"Suggest we attempt to help the entity and close the magical portal. recommendations??" Carefully leans in to here response.
“Do what you can to save the ship. The elves will be very appreciative if you can. They value these ships highly,” she replies. “But, nothing comes from that ship to this one unless you can resolve what the spores are.”
"Unless you have other ideas on how to close the portal and stop the mold spores from moving from there to here, i will try." "First, i will see if i can restore the Treeant a bit, then will head below to attempt to dispell." "Can you support?"
In an attempt to see if the entity responds, Kragen walks up to the base of the living tree, lays his hands on the roots and says a quiet prayer to Tyr. "Bless and revitalize this being, Justice Bringer!"

Peers up to see if there is any noticeable change.
Starker: “I do have this Pouch of Wasps, but would prefer to reserve its daily use for someone I care about more than I care about this stranger. That being said, I am merely the steward of this common treasure of the party, and so would be willing, albeit grudgingly so, to use it if no one else feels as I do.
Starker, sighingly resigned to the nonobjections of this muddleheaded cavalcade of impractical, sentimental, do-goodniks, gets out the Pouch-o-Wasps. If no one objects, he will direct their healing efforts towards the Treeant.

And on to the last room at this hold level...
Kragen and Chadwick continue exploring:
This is the ship’s larder. Many boxes, barrels and sacks of food stuffs are arranged around the room.
Starker: “We should leave. Now. Allow me to set an example.”

You head to the top deck and see the Rogue’s Respite standing 200 yards off the port side. ( As described by Mallinora…. )
You also notice that the treant is visibly worse off than it was an hour ago.
Chadwick; "Could the portal be draining the treant? Are they sentient? Should we save it? If it's this bad off after an hour wouldn't that mean that the original attack didn't happen that long ago?"
Hoid waves urgently at the Rogue’s Respite using the universal sign to get over here as quickly as possible.
The ship begins to edge up and approach you.
You see Kragen stop and pause for a few seconds, blushing addresses Starker. “Starker, given your arcane knowledge, do you believe Dispel Magic would have any impact on the portal?”

Kragen’s spell does not have a visible effect on the treant.
The Pouch of Wasps does not have a directional function. It benefits the user only.
Starker rejoices in the realization that the universe agrees with him and arranges itself accordingly.
