Kragen adds once Starker has completed his diatribe.
”Although I do not condone the method in which Mage Starker has proposed for Alamnal’s capture, I do agree that bringing him to justice sooner rather than later would be desired.”, “If by chance he happens to end up in pieces used for (other) sundry purposes, then so be it.”
”I think Tyr would appreciate taking the proverbial Lb of flesh from that soul!”
Are saddle bags no longer a thing? I couldn't find them or bit and bridle for his mounts.
Saddle bags appear to have gone the way of the Dodo bird. I couldn’t find them either.
Bit and bridle are now included with a saddle. From the PHB:
Saddles
A saddle comes with a bit, a bridle, reins, and any other equipment needed to use the saddle. A Military Saddle gives Advantage on any ability check you make to remain mounted. An Exotic Saddle is required for riding an aquatic or a flying mount.
I am happy to carry the bead of force, if no one else has plans for it.
Do we want to take any special precautions in our approach - larger gap between members, use of a 10' pole, sending a Fey point-fairy down the passage ahead of us? Considering the pack of mimics and glyph we hit in the last room, we should expect more of the same in the tunnel.
I am happy to carry the bead of force, if no one else has plans for it.
I was mostly trying to get items in someone’s possession. If they don’t get assigned, no one will claim them, or that is my observation after 6 levels of this campaign.
Starker awkwardly tosses the onyx figurine out ahead, saying “Meganephos, here boy. There’s a good dog! Scout ahead of us a little and if you see anyone or anything intersting tell us what you see. There’s a good dog. Good doggie, good Meganephos!!”
Meganephos heads into the tunnel followed by Hoid, Chadwick and the rest. (( Please clarify light source or if the humans are just bumping along down the inky black path. )) The tunnel meanders about while steadily descending deeper into the bedrock. It remains about 8-10' wide with a solid, semi-smooth floor and about 8' tall. This goes on for about an hour. At that point, Meganephos stops and looks about. The tunnel is intersected there by a nearly smooth walled, circular tunnel that is 12' in diameter. It rises to the right and descends to the left and transects your tunnel tangentially across the top half of the passage. You will need to climb up to enter either of the passages to the right or left. The tunnel you are in progresses ahead and seems to continue to descend.
Cyrus will carry it if he physically can. If he cannot (because of size/weight) Starker will take 10 minutes to ritual up Jievs and have that unseen servant bear the light.
I’m going to take the thieves tools, even though Hoid no longer has proficiency. He is reasonably dexterous and a second set in the party can’t hurt.
I have a set as well.

Chadwick has a scowl on his face for most of Starker's talk about poison and flaying, when he mentions the saddle he gets a big grin on his face.
Then changes to his stern look and lecturing voice.
"Poison is evil and unlawful, do not go down that road. Those kits can also be used for making antitoxins, that would a better path to follow."
Back to friendly and jovial "I would be happy to carry Cyrus's saddle on Daisy of you like." He says with a voice like he's picturing it in his head."
Serious again "I vote for pursuing the coward now before he has a chance to acquire more allies."
Added Chadwick's share of loot and put the armor of radiant resistance on Daisy.

"We have a magic dog that can scout ahead. Then I could follow ten feet behind it, then five apart for the rest?
If Hoid wants to take point I should be within 10' of him so he can be within my aura of protection."
Hoid and Chadwick are exchanging armor. Hoid will have mithral to take advantage of lack of disadvantage on stealth.
Since the description mentions how strong and light it is you would think it would weigh less than standard plate.
Starker:”Let us follow the villain now, before he recruits and equips more henchdrow and meatshields.”
Gneuman: "Agreed. We should go as soon as possible."
"Sounds like we are in agreement. Let's head out!"
Chadwick will lead The Company down to the tunnel. Once there he'll ask Starker to summon the mastiff.

If Starker or Cyrus could carry the globe that would be great.
Cyrus will carry it if he physically can. If he cannot (because of size/weight) Starker will take 10 minutes to ritual up Jievs and have that unseen servant bear the light.
One of the functions of the Driftglobe is that it floats in the air, following you......
It follows 60 behind you, so even if it was following Chadwick it would be too far behind to do much good.
Plus it would be ripe for the orc's batting practice.
