"Anyone got a way to make one of them trip or something?" Zeds asks as the potential target is pointed out to him. "We could maybe see who is on board?"
Barring the more direct approach, Zeds also offers to follow the palanquin. "I kind blend into a crowd and such when needed," he boasts. "Find out where they are going without being spotted..."
"I thinkayne we just follow them. Maybe they will lead us somewhere more quiet." Krackle adds as he places his hood over his head and begins walking towards the black transport.
The palanquin continues until they meet a group of people whom you guess are mercenaries. A pouch of gold is given to them from the curtained palanquin. The hand that offered the gold is a covered in black scales. The palanquin soon departs while the mercenary now seems to be in your way as they are numerous enough to block the road. You can go around, but you may lose the palanquin.
Flanking of either side of the road are 1 story buildings made of wood and stone with pitched roofs.
"I guess we're doing this the direct way," Zeds notes as Ironthar strides forward towards the mercenaries. Without much other choice, everything considered, he steps up besides his teammate and lets him lead the way.
Zeds remains at Ironthar's side and tries to keep an eye on both the palanquin (until it is out of sight at least) as well as the bag of gold. Zeds will of course try to naturally position himself as close to the one who received the gold as possible... for potential future looting or pickpocketing possibilities.
The scarred woman says "Well perhaps look in the city as this gold is ours. You know what I think I will just stand here to make sure you don't bother our employer for gold"
Zeds laughs and moves to push past the scarred woman, considering trying for the bag of gold as he does but deciding she is probably on too high of alert...

How busy is the area?

The crowd of people becomes thinner the more you travel to the edge of the Blackgate district.
What do you do?
"I thinkayne we just follow them. Maybe they will lead us somewhere more quiet." Krackle adds as he places his hood over his head and begins walking towards the black transport.
The party follows openly for a time, but by the edge of Blackgate it is just the Palanquin and pair of travelers heading into Baldur's Gate.
Do you still follow openly?
I am yes but from a distance.
Imagine the road being this crowded with rag tag band of mercenaries
Ironthar walks forward through the mercenaries, he himself have quite the reputation as mercenary, especially in the outer city.
"I guess we're doing this the direct way," Zeds notes as Ironthar strides forward towards the mercenaries. Without much other choice, everything considered, he steps up besides his teammate and lets him lead the way.
Krackle would follow closely behind Ironthar, trying to look as though he belonged.
(Ooc: Cast guidance on myself. Then rolled acrobatics for a wait for it ..... Nat 20 + 4 guidance.)
Stirling takes a deep breath ok ok Lathander give me the strength I need.
Stirling feels a bit of Devine Providence as he runs up a wall to the roof and then starts to follow from the roof tops
The scarred woman turns to Ironthar "Now I don't usually see your kind around here. Now what brings you here?"
Sterling leaps to the roof and continues to follow the palanquin as it turns a corner.
“Looking for jobs. Same as anyone. I see the palanquin gave gold, I want to get gold.” He continues walking to the palanquin.
The Scarred woman is the one to receive the gold. As Zeds come close, she gives him an icy glare as if to say stay back.
Zeds laughs and moves to push past the scarred woman, considering trying for the bag of gold as he does but deciding she is probably on too high of alert...
