"I know a ranger charmthat I could use to create an image or a sound near the bridge. It could be enough to distract the creature while we sneak our way." says Erevan trying to coming up with a suitable plan "Our chances will improve if you bless us Cammy." The elf keeps his eyes on the mass of muck as he continues "But I could also use another charm of mine to conjure a fog cloud to hinder the creature's senses and hide us as we walk past it."
Amaris sighs. "A big scary plant monster, perfect. Frankly, I vote Cammy's eeeeeven more stealthy option and just go around it. Maybe even supplement it with Erevan's fog. I don't really have any magic that isn't for defense or offense. Stealth hasn't failed us yet, right? Slip past, get the job done, get the hells out of the sewers," She murmurs. "As cool as we all are, I don't think I fancy our chances much against one of those things!"
- Two spells, huh? Hmmm. Perhaps it's a bit too much, but .. then again ... shamblers can be pretty tough, and fighting it would slow us a lot. Yeah - Cammy nods at Erevan - let's do it. My veil of shadows and your fog cloud should do the trick. And Amaris can still keep my blessing. Be careful dear, you'are going to be so stealthy that we might never see you again! - the cleric laughs softly.
Caemlyn then grabs her holy symbol - a coin depicting Tymora's face surrounded by shamrocks - with both hands, brings it to her mouth and whispers to it:
- ...Lady Luck, please enshroud us with your protective shadows...
The coin emited a quick white glow, as if it was giving a sight that it had understood Cammy's request, but soon after the glow faded first to gray ... then to black ... and then began to grow and grow until it covered not only the cleric, but also her companions.
- Stay close to me, okay? - she said. Her voice sounded muffled.
Erevan nods to his companions "It will be difficult to properly see each other or even the path within the fog cloud, let's make a human chain. I'll take point and I'll link with Caemlyn or Amaris's hand, Svenya please close the chain." The elf quietly takes a couple of steps forward murmuring under his breath. As he does, a mystical energy radiates from his hand, rapidly shrouding the area in a thick mist cloud. The fog billows and swirls, obscuring their surroundings in a veil of dense, white mist. "Very well," says with a whisper as he places an hand on the stone passage on his right and takes the hand of his nearest companion. "Let's proceed."
(Stealth nat 1 +5 + 10 =16 - I made a mistake by making a straight roll instead than one with disadvantage, but since I got a nat 1 it cannot go worse than that)
(I also rolled a Nat 1, but thank goodness Blessing of the Trickster lasts an hour. I rolled a Nat 20 second time, for a grand total of 33!)
Amaris crouches down, takes Erevan’s hand, reaches out to take Caemlyn’s. “Don’t get any funny ideas you two,” she whispers to the ranger and the cleric, half-joking and half-serious. Thanks to the latter’s blessing, she practically disappears. If it weren’t for holding hands, her companions may have completely lost track of her.
As you creep over the bridge, you can sense the creature lurking below. Each creak of each step on the bridge, quiet as they are thanks to lady luck, drop a stone in your stomach. That sinking feeling that something could go desperately wrong. In particular, Erevan's paces seem particularly loud. It would seem that he keeps choosing the planks with the most warped of shapes. Wood scraping against wood.
The sound becomes too unnatural and you all hear the creature below lurch suddenly upwards! It seems to be drawn to the source of the sound.
(You guys can come up with a response! Depending on what you do, either combat will begin... or it won't. :) )

Cammy freezes in place and thinking as quickly as she can, waves her free hand producing a sound similar to the bark of a dog in the distance. She hopes the shambler will be distracted and follow it, leaving them alone.
As the shambling mound suddenly emerges from below, Erevan curses himself for the clumsiness of his approach and immediately halts, his every instinct on high alert. The air thickens with tension as he hears the barking sound of a dog. Momentarily puzzled, the elf quickly recalls Caemlyn's innate talent for illusions. Hoping to boost their chances and avoid a dangerous fight, Erevan swiftly traces an arcane symbol in the air. He taps into his innate connection to the Weave, creating a splashing sound near the location of the barking dog, hoping to confuse the monster.
