"I was expecting Mr. Bochor. He is a known associate and how often do you expect monsters to appear in the middle of a city. That was not Mr. Bochor, but an imposter." says Ebar Hall.
Nisha gives Ebar Hall a small nod, encouraging him to keep talking. "What was the deal you had with Mr. Bochor? And when you arrived at the bookstore, was there anybody else besides his impostor?"
She listens attentively to the gnome's story, searching for any further insight into this whole thing apart from what he has to tell them.

The pale winged tiefling listens attentively to what Ebar Hall says. "Do you know why this Mr. Bochar wanted to buy the plans, or why anyone else would steal them. Do you know about anything of particular value in the Heikanar Manse? And how did you get hold of the security plans?" He says, hoping the information broker would keep talking.
"Most likely for a break in. The plans were painstakingly made by my contacts and observers. It took weeks to finish. You know who lives there right. From what I have gleaned she is working on her greatest creation. Since this is Hupperdook the invention is probably a weapon." says Ebar Hall.
Jalen just sits next to the man as the hour pass. As the man begins to final speak he remains quiet as his companions ask questions. As the name of the dwarf is mentioned he just closes his eyes saying trying to remember with the help of his god.
"Perhaps this invisible presence that you felt was the person who took your deal documents," Nisha considers for a moment, tapping her chin with her finger as she thinks. "Who knew about the deal or that you were going to the bookstore?"

"I am beginning to think that the whole deal from the beginning was set up by the imposter. I am guessing Mr. Bochor died weeks ago. I have worked with him before, and it probably did not take long to figure that out." says Ebar Hall.
"One more thing Mr. Hall. We know you have brokered information sensetive to the state. Give us the name or names of those who has provided you with this sensetive information and it will certainly help you. I'm sure I don't need to explain what the iron-fisted king would do if he got his hands on you." The pale winged tiefling says, standing over the gnome in his bed.
Ebar Hall then hesitates and shakes his head "No I cannot reveal the last name. It would be my death and don't bother threatening me more. I am more afraid of her than you. Even if you kill me now, it would be a more pleasant death than what I would experience under her eyes."
His expression though pained is also resolved to die before revealing the last name.
Nisha's delicate eyebrow raises in a high arch as she listens to Nathaniel and Laine. There is a sudden intensity in the air, as she looks from one guy to the other. Are they ready to actually follow through with their threats? Her eyes linger for a moment on Laine, narrowing slightly as she questions his true nature. He is the only one that she hasn't quite figured out yet, so maybe he is indeed more dangerous than the rest of her party.
Her attention moves back to the gnome.
"In case you didn't catch that, my friend here is going to get the answers we seek one way or another, " the half-elf says quietly to Ebar, giving a small nod towards Laine. "And I've seen him in action... I am not sure the lady you are talking about or someone else for that matter are a match to his... methods of obtaining information..."
Nisha pauses and leans in closer to Ebar, her eyes locked onto his. "But here is a different proposition. Whoever was there in the bookstore with you, clearly left you there for dead. Perhaps we can do something to make this rumour more plausible and spread it fast, and you can use this opportunity of being "dead" to relocate yourself somewhere else. After all, you are quite the resourceful and smart guy as we've found out, surely you have some sort of contingency plan to fall on in case things go sour."

"Do what you must. At least she will know I did not betray her. If I live through this night, I have other plans. You have no idea how far her reach is" says Ebar Hall
Hearing the gnome's words, Nisha rolls her eyes and rises to her feet, gently brushing off the dust from her clothes. "You are a fool and a coward, Ebar Hall, or whatever your real name may be," she sneers. "Your whole country is headed to the sewers and all you can think about is for some woman to not think you have betrayed her. Pathetic! Do you have no will to live, no thirst for vengeance? Gods, what a forsaken country."
Frustrated by the gnome's cowardice, the half-elf scoffs and walks away from the bed, cursing in her mind the day Sleek decided to lead them here. She finds the bottle of wine Nathaniel had opened earlier, pours herself a glass and takes a sip. Obviously, playing the good guard didn't quite work out in her favour, but she is a bit surprised at the annoyance she feels at the man's spinelessness. For someone so resourceful, smart, meticulous and careful about his office and his job, the guy got played like a fiddle and he couldn't even see it. Clearly he felt no loyalty to anyone but this woman, but the rogue can't quite comprehend his willingness to face certain death. If it were her in his shoes, she'd stop at nothing to save her own skin.

The pale winged tiefling takes a step back, letting the gnome consider Nasha's proposal. He didn't know what authority if any they had to make deals with Mr. Hall but he really did not have any problems with what the Half-Elf offered it. The gnome was clearly not the one they were after. Now they at least had some names. "Tell us then a bit more about those you named. Ava the songstress, how does she obtain sensetive knowledge, no wait, I don't need to ask that I suppose. But who is this Mr. Bochor? I thought he was buying rather than selling information. And Lambert, what kind of information has he provided you with?" He asks calmly, taking another sip of wine from his glass.
"You know the Assemblage Yard is where the war machines are put together and Lambert works in administration so it's easy for him to lose some paperwork." says Ebar Hall.

"I was to sell him the security plans for Heikanar Manse. Besides him there were the 2 booksellers." says Ebar Hall.
He is speaking the truth.

Laine reserved the hour to contemplate and restore a measure of his magic stores.
He listens attentively to the gnomes words. "A weapon someone desperately wants their hands on."

"I am beginning to think that the whole deal from the beginning was set up by the imposter. I am guessing Mr. Bochor died weeks ago. I have worked with him before, and it probably did not take long to figure that out." says Ebar Hall.
Occasionally he winces and curses under his breathe due to the pain of his stump.
"No, it probably didn't...and do you usually sell extremely hard to get a hold of plans?"
"That is my profession as the information broker. It's a lucrative business. Well that until recently." says Ebar Hall.

"That isn't ideal, Ebar," Laine responds before turning toward Kaelen. "You're a holy man yes? Can speak to the dead and all that?"
It isn't hard to get what Laine is implying. They only need the man's head and the right magic to get their answers if he won't do so willingly.
