Nisha closes the distance, the gleam of her dagger catching the light as she subtly adjusts her grip for maximum effect. This way the blade should look even more deadly and intimidating than before.
"Drop the stone. And shut up," the rogue orders in a low, steady voice that carries an implicit threat. Every part of her body tenses with anticipation as she advances towards the engineer. It is as if a predator stalks closer to its victim. The air suddenly feels charged around her, her heart's beating faster, and Nisha's golden eyes stay focused on the dwarf. The slightest misstep from the dwarf could trigger the half elf's swift and decisive response.

Laine walks around the women, picking up the stone and sticking it into a pocket. "We could do that, yes. Now tell us about the machine. I love a good war effort as much as the next guy, but some very dangerous people have gotten wind of your little invention and it seems to be causing a stir. I want to know why, what makes it different?"
She has a strange, crooked smile as she talks about her invention "They says the Victor decides what is history and I have created the ultimate trump card. You know what let me take all of you to see it." the frightened dwarven women seems to change to something else. She throws her glasses onto the floor "Come with me." She walks towards the stairs unafraid and with confidence. Something in her eyes makes you believe she may have snapped.
"I...uh...think we should handle it on our own. You deemed yourself the sole arbiter of who could be the victor. No reasonable person, you see, would allow that to stand," Gavyn says. He turns to his companions. "I think we should destroy it, or at least hide it away where it is not known to any enemies. It is clearly not safe here."
She continues down the stairs and to the private lift where she uses a key tucked in her belt to unlock its function. "Come on down and you will see what is true genius"
Nisha keeps her compose but internally, she suddenly feels like the engineer woman can be much more dangerous than she lets out. There is something sinister in the way she seamlessly changed personalities. Gavyn's words, while true, are not to be spoken around mentally-fragile creatures like the dwarven woman, but luckily, she doesn't react to them.
"They say real geniuses are crazy, and this one truly seems to be a crazy one, " the half-elf thinks. "No games, " Nisha adds aloud, but she feels somewhat unnerved all of a sudden. Her fingers grip the dagger's hilt tighter.

Admittedly somewhat unnerved by the sudden change in the dwarven woman's demeanor, the pale winged tiefling still follows along with the others, quite curious too with what they will be shown, but still alert to any shenanigans from their host. He couldn't help but wonder what the Watchmaster would have them do. Their mission to stop the robbery was accomplished and in his opinion the team had not enough intelligence to make an informed decision on whether anything should be destroyed. The name of the invention their captive have mentioned though, could whatever was down there somehow affect minds, and to what extent?
Nathaniel gut tells him that there is madness hiding inside Huron Stahlmast. He sees an excited jitteriness in Huron as her hands shake and she still has that crooked grin.
Gavyn hurries behind everyone but is too far to the rear to reach Huron. "Uh...Laine," he says. "Don't let her through the door first. The basement, you see, if it is a trap..."
"Yes, well perhaps we are not quite ready to see what is down there quite yet."The pale winged tiefling says, trying to quickly get ahead of Huron Stahlmast, using his wings to glide down to the next floor once the stairs are reached, although realizing the dwarven scientist might already be beyond saving now. Was it her invention even that had changed her?

The pale winged tiefling stalls for time, waiting for his associates reach them to, if necessary, incapacitate the quite mad dwarven scientist. "You are right, we will leave, but we need to inform your superiors or contractors that you and your invention are safe." He says, mostly to see if she can be communicated with at all.
Gavyn catches up to everyone at the elevator. "Is this the only way in or out of the basement?" Gavyn says. "Or could your precious invention be leaving through a different exit as we speak?"
"I will know if something is out of place and with all of you here, I will be safe as can be. Of course, I can stay here and all of you can head down and investigate." says Huron.
Kaelen just blinks at the interaction, as he went to check her he stopped at Nisha began her intimidation of the woman. He just sighed letting it take place and then watching her change just remained quiet through her rants. He looks at his companions "I don't think it's safe for us to go down there."he says bluntly just letting his opinion of the situation be known as the woman tries to get them to go down "Maybe we just take her with us? Maybe she'll answer to the one who hired us?"
