As Haj walks into the fletcher's shop the fletcher looks up from an arrow he is carving. "Ah, back again so soon? Are you ready to take me up on my offer?"
Galdric turns to Cal. “I’ve been thinking. These strangers you spoke with. They remind me of stories I’ve heard about The Harpers. If I’m right, they could potentially be mighty allies. Their battles with the Zhentarim are the stuff of legend. With your permission, I’d like to accompany you to meet with them. Are you familiar with those who harp?”

"It looks like we can help each other, although my friends reserve the option to say no. For myself, if we agree a deal I will honour it whatever happens."
"Now, tell me more about what you are seeking, where it is, and what obstacles we face. I give my word that if we don't reach a deal I will not pass on your words, and will not act on them myself." He places his hand over his heart "wahadha 'uqsim bihayati".*

"Ah, excellent! I was hoping you'd come back," the fletcher said, his voice rich with enthusiasm. "This task is close to my heart, and finding someone with the courage to undertake it isn't easy." He carefully rolled out a weathered map on the counter, pointing to a secluded area marked by ancient symbols. "The artifact, according to old legends, is a piece from the very foundation of this land's magic, lost in the ruins of what was once a temple of the elemental guardians."
He traced a path on the map leading through dense forest and rocky terrain. "The journey won’t be simple. The temple is guarded by enchantments, remnants of the very magic that it was built to harness. And of course, there's the wildlife, protective spirits that aren’t fond of human intruders. But," he paused, looking Haj squarely in the eyes, "the rewards, should you succeed, are beyond mere gold. Knowledge, power, perhaps even lost spells are said to be held within."
Haj listens to his words with interest whilst studying the map.
"Ok, now I have some more specific questions. How old is this map? Do you have any information on the enchantments? Has anybody ever translated these symbols?"
He thinks for a moment longer. "We can do this, but I cannot say how long it will take as we have other tasks to complete. It may be months before we return. Also, it may be wise to take a copy of the map, that way if we meet our ends on our travels, you will still have the original."

The fletcher listened intently to Haj's questions, nodding.
"The map," he began, carefully lifting the edges of the parchment as if handling a relic itself, "is roughly two centuries old, based on the paper and ink analysis. It's one of the few remaining items from an explorer who vanished while pursuing these mysteries."
Regarding the enchantments, the fletcher's eyes narrowed slightly, reflecting a mixture of respect and caution. "The enchantments protecting the temple are primarily elemental—fire, wind, earth, and water, all designed to deter and test intruders. There are rumors that these spells regenerate, possibly tied to the natural energy flows of the area."
He leaned closer, lowering his voice as he pointed to the cryptic symbols sketched along the map's border. "These symbols? They're believed to be a form of ancient script used by the temple's builders, possibly a sect of mages connected to the elemental guardians. No one has fully translated them, but I suspect they hold the key to bypassing some of the temple's defenses."
Haj's suggestion about making a copy of the current map sparked a moment of agreement from the fletcher. "A wise precaution," he acknowledged, beginning to prepare the materials needed for a duplicate. "Take this copy with you. Should anything happen, the original will remain safe here with me. And as for the timing, there's no rush. This place has remained hidden for centuries; a few months more won't make a difference."
While the fletcher makes a copy of the map, Haj makes notes on which symbols are for the protection of the temple, and which are tied to the builders. Hopefully somebody in the group may be able to shed some light on them.
Once the fletcher has finished, he rolls the map and the notes and stows them in a scroll tube. After exchanging a few parting words, he heads off to join the others.
Cal says, "Yeah, let's go meet them then." And heads back to the inn. "Not sure who harps but harpers?"

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
Unsure what she should do, because she thinks they really should be focussing on finding the two members of the arcane brotherhood, if she is permitted, Taya follows Cal to the inn to meet the harpers. She heard of the organisation before but doesn't really know what they are up to. From what she heard they aren't violent, unlike the Zhentarim, but they are secretive. And in her opinion, someone who is doing good doesn't need to keep it secret. Still, she resolves to keep an open mind about them and is willing to listen to their offer. "You said you didn't get to do in the inn for what you went there. What was that anyway?" Taya asks Cal conversationally but then blushes as she realises that that might be perceived as prying which wasn't really her intention..

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
As everyone completes their tasks Horros goes to find the entrance to the sewers keeping eyes on his surroundings to ensure the entry point isn't trapped or being watched by suspicious folks. He won't directly engage with anyone or anything until the rest of the party arrives. Perception: 18
