Yasmina is able, through careful observations and clever deductions, to conclude that the Dragon's lair is likely a structure similar to the one that the kobolds inhabit, a tragic relic of bygone greatness. It may even be an extension of the ruins that you are currently in.
The biggest issue is that these ruins are HUGE! The Dragon's lair will likely consist of many distinct chambers and halls; teleporting in next to the dragon will likely not put you next to the item you seek. However, there is one upside: as large as the lair is, it shouldn't be too hard to hide from the dragon, and Lord Akkron's orb should be able to lead you to the item.
You also find out that there are other dangerous creatures lurking amongst the Dragon's horde, which is where the monsters used in the Trial of the Warriors come from... the kobolds trap them because they are an annoyance to the greate and mighty Glethegar. Which, by extension, means that you might run into traps set for said monsters.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Yasmina would discreetly share with the others in the team what she has found out about Glethegar's lair.
(Was it possible to use the sending stone to contact captain Fox and ask him to take his ship outside the Shaded isle so that Milly can gate us to the ship rather than back to Tormere? :-)
...The kobolds are more than willing to take basically any excuse to party like there's no tomorrow.
The ex-preceptor is delighted and keeps to organize chorus after chorus of the song she invented. Until she realizes that Yasmina seems to want to talk to her; then she leaves the Kobolds for a while to continue the celebrations alone to listen to her half-elf friend...

“This is great news, Yasmina!” Duwamilly's brown eyes light up "I really like how smart and resourceful you kids are! If these ruins are really connected to the Dragon's Lair... and the Lair is so big that it's easy for us not to be noticed... maybe we could change our plans and reach the Luck Blade by flying like clouds, thanks to Lord Amir's magic! Most of the creatures that roam the Lair probably won't even notice us... Those that do notice us and are able to fly to follow us, would probably be too slow to reach us... We could simply head at top speed in the direction Lord Akkron's orb points us - and probably reach our target in not too much time. Then grab it and plane-travel away".
"Yes, we would have to wait til tomorrow when my master can leave his prison again but I agree with your plan Milly." Yasmina says with an appreciative smile.
"I wouldn't think so. We leave here as if returning where we came from, but then we circle back swiftly as the wind into the ancient ruins that is Glethegar's lair and find that blade." Yasmina says with a confident smile.
"You make it sound so easy. Even half that convincing you could probably just charm Glethegar out of that sword. I'd swear you were more worried about meeting Lord Akkron."
The Tiefling casts a playful smile at the Half-Elf that very nearly covers her own concern.
"Zander, Cal, any concerns from a warrior's perspective?"
So the party rests and recuperates, surrounded on all sides by evil kobolds who slavishly worship a white dragon :-)
The night passes mostly uneventfully... except Zander gets a disturbing dream...
Zander:
As you lay on a much too small bed, you find yourself back on the battlefield... in a desperate loosing battle against the Cult of the Dragon. Though your blade is mighty, the forces of darkness are too many. Overhead you can see the massive form of a black dragon, coming to finish the defenders once and for all...
But then, as you close your eyes and prepare to meet your fate, a voice calls out to you.
Zander... it is only a dream.
You open your eyes to see the battle stopped, frozen in time, and before you stands Lord Akkron, his skeletal visage a strangely welcome sight amidst the chaos.
I have unfortunate news to deliver, the lich says as the memory of the battle fades away. I was finally able to discover how that staff is connected to all of this... it was difficult, as the will of the dark spirit within is strong, but I have learned that in life she was another devotee of Firion and of Sserah Nightbane. The two dragonborn who bore the staff were manipulated to find your companions and lead the Cult of the Dragon to them. I cannot say with certainty how much the spirit knows of your current mission, or what it was able to tell Firion, but be wary, and let the others know what I have discovered.

"That Firion is really a scamp" Duwamilly, irritated, tries to remember what was said in the presence of the Staff and what wasn't... "I really want to tell him what difference there is between him and a lot freshly produced manure, as soon as I have the possibility" (and from her smile it is clear that she has a humorous and disparaging response ready on the matter).
"Well," the ex-Preceptor shrugs "anyway, since we separated from the Staff, he can no longer have eavesdropped with that. So, in particular, he should neither know what we are about to do now nor be able to stop us. Let's proceed with our plan, kids. We will be the ones laughing at the end of this joke!"
"Firion shouldn't have been able to find us on the road from the temple, or put a spy on the ship so quickly after we chose Captain Fox, or eavesdropped on us in Lord Akkron's castle. If we started tallying up the things that Firion shouldn't have been capable of, I think it's safe to say that the only thing that shouldn't be possible with Firion is overestimating what he is capable of," Delvindra says as she scowls at Duwamilly's misplaced optimism.
"You are a credit to your god, Preceptor, but I think, with regards to Firion, you need to be a better student. Let's all assume that Firion knows where we're going and why, and has the means to get there first. If we have a plan for that, then anything less should be easy by comparison."
"Oh, Delvindra, honey," Duwamilly shrugs "the only idea that comes to mind is to act as quickly as possible, to try anticipating him - and if the scamp somehow manages to reach the item before we do, then try turning the dragon against him, maybe pretending that Firion is our boss, the one that is directing the theft. Dragons usually don't like very much uninvited visitors - especially if they aporoach their hoard. But I appreciate the freshness of your brains, kids... If someone of us has better ideas, please, share them!"
"We had a good plan but it hinges on the idea that the dragon isn't expecting us. I don't think we can assume that's still true. I think we're going to need a distraction. Something loud and destructive enough to convince the dragon that we're too foolish to sneak in. Then we do. Or, more precisely, you and Yasmina do. How many times can you open your gates in a day?"

Come to think of it... no, there really isn't a reason that you couldn't do that.

Let's see... today the cube recovered 2 charges
"Three times, Delvindra, honey" Duwamilly replies.
"One to get back to the rest of us, one to get away, and a spare in case the plan goes wrong."
"What do you think, Snicker, do you and Zander want to help me fight a dragon?"
