"Maybe we ought to just go with what we know and head back to Kristoff's house. I am not a big fan of fighting in the dark and I seriously doubt they would commit to open combat inside the city walls in the middle of the day. We might gain the upper hand if we went back there sooner rather than later."
"I agree with Mijira. We may not know what is awaiting us, but we at least know where to go at that house."Holgturns to Jodon, "How nimble and stealthy can you be my friend? Would you be willing to check the house before we all barge in like last time? Also, how far away does your mind-speak trick work?"
"My father tried to teach me the family business, but I am afraid it didn't quite take," says Jodon. "I am a bit sneakier than the average big person, but not so much for my kind. But yes, I would be willing to try, if you feel that is the best tactic. As for speaking to a mind - not very far - one hundred, perhaps a hundred and a score paces. I do not have to be able to see the person, just know generally where they are, though thick barriers can stop communication."
"No sense it putting you in harms way unnecessarily. Perhaps we should just enter the same way as before but during the day? I do think we should see what supplies we can get before we head that way now that we have some gold. Was it Holoman's Supplies that Kelbin recommended to us?"
Mijira cocks an eyebrow at Dathyra and says, "That is a strange name for a supply shop. That Kelbin man suggested that shop?" Mijira's excitement was starting to bubble up. They were about to go back into a place where she was held as a prisoner, but she was ready this time. She wouldn't be caught again.
"Yes, and if I remember correctly, Kelbin recommended it because he was friends with its proprietor," she said. "It can't hurt to make a few quick preparations there before we go back."

Reunited and rested, the four companions finish their meals one by one. When lunch is over, they look to each other with the understanding that they are walking back into danger. It seems that a return trip to the market is in order along the way, however. Gathering their things, the party heads back out into the cool air, winding through the street of Neverwinter until they come across the market once more. Shouts from vendors give voice to the large menagerie of colorful shops and tents. A few inquiries here and there land the party within sight of the shop Hallowed Supplies. A younger human, maybe in his later teens, faces the adventurers and greets them, "Hello, hello! Welcome to the last shop you'll ever need. We've got it all, everything big and small. If we don't have it - which I doubt - we can get it for you!" He pauses, striking a pose with his hands gesturing towards the shop entrance.
"Thank you, kind sir. I could use a few days worth of rations, " Jodon says with a bow. "Do you have any that don't taste like a few days worth of rations?"
The young man holds his smile and pose for a few uncomfortable moments, not replying to Jodon. Then he pivots a little and gives the exact speech again in another direction ending in the same pose.
Dathyra followed behind, still a bit perplexed by the odd man. Having lived among humans for quite some time, she had grown used to some of their peculiarities and customs. These days, very little could surprise her about them, though she supposed that didn't account for humans who were even more unusual than average.

Inside the shop a man that appears to be in his thirties or so is engaged in conversation with an armored man bearing the customary armor of Neverwinter. They are laughing about something and the man behind the counter looks to his side and gestures to a younger man across the room. The two men go back to their conversation as the party is greeted by a most curious sight. The man in front of you looks incredibly similar to the man outside only a few years older. He starts speaking to Dathyra, "Good afternoon. Is there anything in particular I can help you with?"
She couldn't deny that something felt amiss. Of course, siblings did share a good many traits with each other, but the resemblance between the two men was a little closer than seemed normal. Nonetheless, neither felt threatening, just odd was all. Dathyra smiled humbly. "Thank you. My companions and I were in need of a few provisions before a short journey." She knew she was horrible at lying, but she wasn't about to bring the whole city into a panic. A half-truth would suffice. She looked down to Jodon. "My friend here was hoping to get a few rations, and if you happened to have a little powdered iron and silver for simple protection spells, I'd be very grateful." She looked behind her as the other two followed her in, still looking around the shop.

Mijira pipes in from behind, "And some chalk for me. Oh, and wax. Your...brother? outside is rude. It would go a long way towards your business if he was more inviting."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I beg to differ,", Holginterjected, "I enjoyed his little hawk. With such confidence and eloquence we just had to check this place out ourselves. While you are assisting us, I would be interested in your potions of healing."
While this is going on, Holg would like to nonchalantly peruse around and observe the place. Is it clean and tidy or chaotic? What is on the shelves and is there anything unusual or unique that catches my eye?

The man cocks the side of his mouth into a smile in reply to Mijira. "It's not my brother - it's me. My father traded with a wizard some years back and he offered some sort of illusion as payment. I stand out there advertising all day, but it's not real. I'll gather those things for you and meet you at the counter." The man steps off to collect the items around the store. Seeing some actual business, the older man behind the counter closes out his conversation with the guard and gives the party a general, "Hello!" with a wave.
The shop is fairly organized, but nothing strikes Holg's fancy in particular. The shop contains any general equipment under 25 gold in the player's handbook.

She shook her head. "No, Kelbin said it was owned by a man named Holoman, but the place itself is called Hallowed Supplies."

I stopped getting emails about new posts all of a sudden....kind of weird.
Wait...you can get email alerts for this? Geez, I just have to open the page and keep refreshing throughout the day. Didn't know you could do that.
