They turn to the rest of you and nod graciously. “Wonderful to meet you all. Good luck on your endeavor, I do hope to see you all again.” Caj departs, leaving you all at a wide open entrance, like a small hangar. As you begin to enter, you can see racks and shelves stretching deep into the back of the room. Closer to the entrance is a wide desk, at which a female goblin sits, rummaging through several assorted items. “Ayyyye! Whats good Ava!? These the randos? Bring em over, I got y’alls shit here ready to go.” For such a small creature, Krug’s voice carries quite well. Her hair is buzzed close to her head, and her long ears dangle with mismatched jewelry.
Nean smiles widely after these welcoming words. Nothing better than a little prep talk. "After all this time, finally someone speaking my language. Nice to meet ya, M'lady. So, what's in it for us?"
Ospos approaches Krug, "Do we get nice clothes? Are there any Bounders with nice hats? I think there should be at least one Bounder with some sense of style. Tell me you have hats!"
Ava: "Girl you know it! I've been workin out, gettin my body right."
She tilts her head past the aasimar as the others approach. "Oooh your new friends are cute! How y'all doin?" she says as she looks between Bram and Nean. "I'll tell you what's in it for you..." she says, about to continue before pausing and laughing to herself "Gods let me behave. Alright so y'all are gonna get the standard package for a Bounders squad. A handy haversack, a tiny hut stone, now you can only use that once a day so don't waste it. And let's seeee, food and water for a week long journey of course, and uhhh, wait where y'all goin?" As she mentions each item she pushes it across the desk towards you. The stone is a palm sized carving of a tent, grey in color.
"Hello Krug! We are always looking for healing potions and any spells I could add to my book would be most well received! What acts as currency on this plane?"
Dril is a little apprehensive about the goblin. Everything he has heard about goblins has been negative but honestly, the relief of not getting memory wiped paired with Krug's friendly demeanor has let him lower his guard.
"Okayyy..." she rifles through her desk for a second before producing a rolled up scroll. "Shadowfell, there we go. This scroll'll cast sending targeted at Lah'thys, the Bounder ambassador for the Shadowfell. hit her up if you need any help finding Verrina, or if ya get in any trouble. We got potions and holy water, not for free though. Potions are 47 gold and holy water's 23 a pop. I don't supply spell scrolls, but you might find some in the market. You can try Li-li's, she's got magical items and all that. There's a cute lil tavern next door to it, maybe we can all go out when y'all get back." She says with a wink to Bram.
"Sounds like a good time. We will definitely have to get to know each other over drinks."
Looking at the others, Bram asks,
"How many of the holy water vials do we want to buy? Also, Liafial, you still have a few healing potions rights? Do we need to purchase more, or will what we have be enough?"
Thinking for a moment, Bram asks Ava,
"Ava, do we get regular pay, working as bounders? Or some kind of compensation for completing tasks? If we have to sometimes purchase needed supplies, we are going to run out of money eventually."
Ava stifles a laugh, as she usually does during Krug's antics and candor "Thank you Krug, I'd love for the opportunity for us to catch up a little!"
To Bram "We do not receive salaries, as it were, but we are permitted to keep any treasure or gold we find throughout an assignment or journey. This has actually allowed some Bounders to become quite wealthy."
Ospos is alarmed by Ava's answer, "sounds like a good way to entice corrupt beings into becoming bounders, or provide opportunity to become corrupted."
Ospos: "I'd like to see some corrupt ******* try and infiltrate the Bounders, Kizzerai would **** them up." Krug says enthusiastically. "Plus, it's not like you gotta be a Bounder to be an adventurer and make bank." She says this as she walks back to one of the shelves behind her. In a moment, she returns with two small flasks of holy water, which she hands to Liafial. "Anything else?"
Clermar looks slack-jawed and dumbfounded at the past series of revelations and cosmic events, "Let me try to figure this out. I'm not dead or dreaming or whatever. Bram isn't really Bram or he is but he's a bunch of other people too. We are going to an undead place so we can go home eventually without getting our heads scrambled. Ava here is like a planar guard and we're not worried about that mirror? Is there anything else?"
"OH! Clermar! I'm sorry, I forgot you were totally out of it when I finally woke up!"
Bram transforms into Void.
"Hi Clermar, my name is Void."
Void smiles warmly to Clermar.
"I'm a changeling. I have the ability to change my form at will."
"Until the morning after our encounter with the nectar, I had been locked out of control of my body."
"My persona, my constructed personalities and identities, had been running around as if they were real, and I was stuck watching, but unable to act."
"I seem to be mostly back in control, except that Franz took over not long before we got to Citron city, that's the place where we met back up with you."
Void transforms into a high elf.
"Hello everyone, my name is Thallan Mirazana."
"This is my first persona created just by myself, after striking out on my own, away from my parents."
"It was in this form that I almost met my end, if it wasn't for this book, and whoever is on the other end of it."
Thallan looks about at the others.
"So anyone else going to purchase anything? Or are we ready to head out and find Ava's father?"
Ayyyy Clermar you got the gist. We were outclassed from the word 'go'. At least now we have a chance to learn and protect ourselves. I've a few questions for that gnome whom hired us and hope to get to the bottom of this after we find Ava's father. Glad to have you with us. We are uncertain of Nodrus' fate..."
Dril looks at "Void" and shakes his head. In a world where you can be anyone you want, why spend it being someone you're not?
Nean turns while the others fill Clermar in on the most recent events. "I'll be takin three of those holy bottles as well, i guess..." He then hands over the money.

"Oooww, undead! I've never encountered an undead creature, this is going to be fun!"
Bram, not being able to wait any longer, starts to look for the door into the warehouse.

"Hi Krug! Yep, these are the soon-to-be Bounders that are going to be helping me. How are you? You look healthy."
Bram steps forward with a smile.
"Hello Krug, my names Bram and I'm a rando. What you got for us, brand new, provisional deputy bounders?"
Bram's eye roam all over, looking for anything interesting to see.

"I can tell! Soon I'll be bringing you with me on journeys as my personal muscle!"
"But that all sounds great hun. We're on our way into the Shadowfell, so we were thinking of acquiring some holy water as well."
Bram picks up the tiny hut and examines it.
"So...what is this for? Is it magical?"
Bram looks at Krug.
"You wouldn't happen to provide spell scrolls would you?"
Bram places the stone hut back down on the counter, and gets out his book.
"You see, in my book here, it goes through how to cast and copy spells, that can be cast using the ritual method."
"And I have the inks need for this, but I don't have any new spells to scribe."
"Technically, I would only need to loan the spell scroll, as I would just be copying it, and you could have it back after."
Bram thinks for a second before adding.
"That is, if we are allowed to ask for other equipment like this."
