"Well that sounds quite stressful, Nean. I can imagine, however, that you acclimated to such circumstance, and felt a strange sense of longing in its absence."
"Did this person seem to speak prophetically to you, Clermar?"
"That has all the makings of quite an ordeal, Dril. But I am happy that you are enjoying the possibilities of your future as a Bounder. Ava then turns mid sentence to regard Void as well as Dril "You are going to have as much time as you want to explore and learn about whatever you desire. Please allow yourselves the time to processing all of these new experiences."
Nean turns back to Thallan. "I don't want to bore you with the details, but since it's not as unlikely for us to get back to Solacus anymore, there is one thing i guess i should let you know. Most of the rather decent citizens have no idea that there are three different, not that legal, organizations that claim the town for themselves. The oldest one is probably the Tiefling clan Kuz'Ra, then there's the Liachon guild, hotspot for humans, elfs and their mongrels. The last ones are the scaly bastards of Sheishta. With the mention of the last two names, you can tell that his voice is losing a tad of that alacritous tone. "My last state of knowledge was that they had some sort of a piece triety, but those things never really last for long. You'd be better off not getting involved with them, but if you ever run into trouble with some of those idiots just drop 'em you're a buddy of "Nox", that should sent 'em flying..." With that, his smile returns.
Nean stops for a moment and locks eyes with Thallan, a stern look on his face. "I appreciate that, just as i am happy to have you bunch around, but things like that don't come without downsides."He holds up both of his hands, fists clenched. "The Liachon people made the mistake to awaken something within me. It only took them to kill half of everyone i new." Like an extension of his wrists, the outline of a sapphire blade appears out of thin air, covering this left hand. "The Sheishta are a rather new organization. They stabilized their position by annihilating smaller associations. A few years after the Liachon incident, the dragonborn raided our new lair and slaughtered everyone i had left."Another blade materializes on his right. "Both of them did and will continue suffering for that." The blades disappear. Nean turns around and starts walking again.
Thallan's eye soften at Nean's mention of losing those close to him.
Using his Awakened Mind, he sends to Nean privately.
"I am sorry Nean, I did not mean to open old wounds. Know that I now count you among my friends, and will endeavour not to cause you the same kind of suffering in the future."
Thallan turns to listen to Liafial as he describes his heritage and training.
"Fascinating, you will have to tell me more sometime, if that is all right. The song of the Viper, that sounds, lethal."
"Naw Ava, nothing as fancy as a prophecy. She told me her name was Eirina and she was a warlock or somthin' 'passing through' from the feywild, suggested I leave the city behind and strike out on my own. I didn't think much of it at the time, the feywild stuff, I thought it was just talk. My grandmother always used to say I was born in the feywild but that's just because I was ornery and getting into fights as a kid. I heard her back there though, she was talking to those people at the mansion back there, before they knocked me out and delivered me to you lot."
"Hmm, that sounds like a strange series of events, and my intuition tells me that they're connected in some way. Perhaps your relation to the Feywild is deeper than you think."
At hearing of Nean's past and great loss, Ava chooses to silently process what she has heard, and a moment of deep pain and sadness swells within her before she dismisses it.
The tales of your pasts serve to fill the silence of this dark forest, and for the duration you all feel just a little less adrift. In the brief moment of silence after Ava's response, another voice breaks into your conversation. "H-hello? Help! Please!" The shrill, pained voice sounds like that of a child, and it comes from the woods to the right of the path you're currently on.
Lifial: At first it's hard to make anything out in the mosaic of grey trees and shadows, but as Ospos moves the lights around the area, a distinct form catches your eyes. At the edge of the illumination, you can spy a small humanoid form sitting on the ground. It appears to be a little girl, with a tangle of auburn hair, pale skin, and a plain white tunic. Peering closer, it you can see that her leg has been caught in a metal bear trap, clearly broken and bloodied.
Dril: The wounded child looks up suddenly, searching for the source of the voice in her head. She responds out loud "I-I was looking for Teddy, my cat... he ran away and..." she chokes up and begins sobbing heavily "Please! help! It hurts!"
Thallan: The little girl looks confused at first as she looks up at Bram's image, then she just continues crying and pleading for help. "Please sir! Please!" her fingers try futilely at the trap.
Nean: Nothing surrounding the girl looks any more out of the ordinary than the rest of this ominous plane, but as you look at the child herself, you do notice a strangeness about her. The pale skin and red hair seem almost luminous, in contrast to the gloom around her.

With that, his smile returns.
"I see, I have heard of the Kuz'Ra and the Liachon, but have never had any dealings with any organised crime, at least not to my knowledge."
"So you had direct conflict with these organisations? And you managed to survive and even make them think twice about coming after you?"
Thallan looks impressed, seeing Nean in a new light.
"I'm am very pleased to have you at my back then."

Ospos, being from Solacus and aware of the existence of these underground organizations, whistles appreciatively.

Ospos will shoot his dancing lights in that direction and push them out as far as they go (70 feet) unless he sees something before then.

Ospos asks Ava, "Little girls caught in traps in the Shadowfell. Any reason to be suspicious?"
Upon seeing the girl Dril points his finger at her and casts Message
"Dear, please hush. What are you doing out here?"
To the group "Whatever set that trap will surely be checking on it eventually, we should keep quiet as we rescue her."

Thallan moves to with 60ft of the girl (if not already within 60ft) and casts Silent Image.
He creates an Illusion of Bram, and makes the friendly, smiling, half-elf, walk through the forest to the little girls position.

"This does seem quite strange, but I think I have an idea. I'll approach, can you all survey the area as I do so?"
Ava is going to approach the young girl, and once she is within range, Ava is going to use Halo of Clarity.
