Glancing up as Daryos indicates the trap above, Nesyax say, "Well, thanks Mel. Like I said, I'm sure we'll be back at some point. But we should probably be on our way." She heads out of the shop as well, ready to continue on their tour.
The woman give the group a small nod before taking another long puff from her pipe. Stepping out into the daylight you proceed towards the ocean. With every step towards the water you take, the sound of crashing waves and cawing sea birds becomes louder and louder. A sea breeze blows through the streets, replacing the general smell of rot and decay with the the smell of the ocean. After just a few minutes of walking, you arrive to what looks to be a ruined set of wooden docks. Small fishing shacks and houses surround the area and appear to be mostly abandoned, and the number of people around is very low. sea spray blows off the water, ensuring that everything nearby is damp and slippery.
Moving closer to the water, you see that some of the docks and nearby buildings are built on stilts and stretch out over the jagged rocks below. rough seas slam against the weathered wooden supports and rocks, prompting water to splash up around the edges of the docks. The exterior wall of Liesech extends out into the water and on top of the wall you see a four guards wielding crossbows standing near a ballista. They keep an eye on your group but also keep an eye on the water, as though they are just as worried about something coming as they are about anyone trying to get out.
At the end of one of the mostly destroyed piers, you see a figure casting a net into the dark waters.
After noticing the scary trap hanging above them, Vesna feels all too happy to leave the store and continue the walk around the town. Even though as far as she is aware nobody from the group is a criminal or sick, the constant hostility and suspicion with which everybody here regards them seems to unnerve her more and more.
"That might be the guy from the shop... fishing..." she observes at some point when she finally notices the lone figure.

"Yea. Likely is Fisk," Nesyax says as she looks out towards the figure on the end of the pier. "Don't see much use in going out to talk to him. And not sure what else there is to see out here. The guards and ballista certainly reinforce the idea that we aren't going to get out her by water." Her gaze falling on the ballista, she starts to wonder, "You think they have means to spot people at night? In darkness maybe there's be an opportunity. Maybe."
"I don't particularly have any questions about fishing. Shall we head back to the barred drain tunnel and head in to find tracks or the lair of the Bone Collector" says Stasyn keeping an eye on how much daylight they still have left.
Kitaer shrugs noncommittally and is willing to head off in whatever direction pointed. He personally thinks it best to set up a stakeout overnight but if the group feels it best to try to barred gate while the guards are watching then... "Decisioneer?" he asks, waiting for guidance.
"I had the impression we were being watched from the wall as we examined the the tunnel, so I doubt they will simply let us come and go that way by day, well, unless we can work something out with the captain of course. Perhaps he would let us use it in return for us sharing with him where the minions of the Bone Collector come and go. What do you think?" The young white-haired noble says, looking around at the others. "I believe it is either that or wait until dark, but I think it would be to our advantage making this a daylight operation."
"You may be right of course, but perhaps we can give it a try?" Daryos answers Nesyax with a polite smile, then looking to Kitaer and Vesna for their opinions.
Vesna looks very unsure and conflicted with herself for a moment, but she still manages to speak out. "I know this sounds crazy...and Ren will probably be very unhappy, but maybe we should wait and see what actually happens here after sunset. I think we should try to get the whole picture."

Kitaer shrugs. "I would imagine the guards would need some reason to trust us and believe in us before they made a deal to let us out of the quarantine zone. Otherwise what's the point of having guards?" he adds after some thought. "If it's a deal you want to make it would seem the bartender was the likelier party to deal with... I still think we should spend a night or two trying to see what happens at night ourselves though. So far this fear of being out at night seems superstition and hogwash. I see no reason we shouldn't stake out the gate and a pile of bones and see if we can't catch these minion things ourselves... Or at least maybe find out how they come and go without becoming indebted to others."
"I agree we should check out what happens at night," Nesyax says in agreement. "But is there nothing more to do? At the very least I guess I might get the map finished up."
The party makes their way back to the headquarters. along the way back they see the same sights that they have come to expect here in the quarantine zone. Sickly figures walk the streets and some collapse to the ground and remain motionless. It takes the group about twenty minutes to arrive back at the steps to their repurchased church. The two interns stand motionless with their faces hidden behind burlap masks, guarding the wooden doors to the headquarters. they do not move when you approach and when you open the doors, you see Ren sorting through various crates of supplies. "You're back! Are you hungry? I can throw together some lunch if you like. Hopefully you have a lead on the Bone collector?" He asks with interest as he places a set of robes similar to what he is wearing back in a crate.
We can certainly take a long and meandering way back to base, see as much unexplored area as possible before returning. We did want to scope out the area and it is the point of the walking tour... Kitaer will happily accompany Nesyax further if she wishes.
Upon returning, Kitaer also says hello to the guards and takes a sniff of them each wondering if there is a stench of death or decay... Investigation: 8
Inside he will happily partake of food and drink. "Bone Collector?" he says between bites. "Not per se. Found a water gate that perhaps had some tracks from his minions. It could be a place to watch overnight to see what happens. But sounds like the Collector himself doesn't come in to town... We'll need find a way to go see him."
Stasyn also begins to wonder if the interns are constructs or some form of undead. "I am famished Ren and food would be welcomed" After eating he will nudge Hank the intern "Are you hungry by any chance and where do you sleep?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Daryos agrees to move about the quarantine zone until Nesyax's map is complete, although still feeling quite uneasy about people dying around him on the streets.
As he returns to the team's base of operations he would politely accept some lunch from the majordomo, then taking a discreet peek at the set of robes Ren placed back in the crate as the majordomo is away preparing their meal.
"Lunch would be lovely, thank you, Ren," Vesna smiles happily at the suggestion. All this walking and talking have gotten her quite hungry, which has surprised her since she didn't have much of an appetite back in Waterdeep. "We found a sewer that we suspect might be used either for smuggling or from this Bone Collector minions to come here. And we met so many people, it was good to introduce ourselves and show we are not a threat. I mean, I didn't do much of the talking but it was good to check out the city and some of its main characters. I know we are not supposed to stay here long, but I think it is good to try and find allies or at least make acquaintances with people, in case things change. Do you need help with getting lunch ready?" she adds after a short moment of consideration.
