I'm not much for up front fighting. I can defend myself of course, but prefer other methods and tactics. Ashley habitually rubs the tattoo on her hand.
"Up close and personal is my style, like a precision weapon. Trained to cut fast, deep, and in into vital organs. It has it's drawbacks. I get pummeled frequently." Crispy says, letting go of Bennett and Ashely as they walk with a chuckle, not wanting them to feel uncomfortable. This group was starting to grow on her, especially those two.
Hatt shrugs, the shield on his back moving slightly. I can get up close, but I don't really get much use out of this shield. I'm better staying back and making sure everyone stays on their feet. He grips his holy amulet, now displayed openly instead of tucked under his shirt.
”Hasent happened yet, sweets.” Crispy says, “With you around, i’m hoping it stays that way. You get used to the pain after a while. I think ive busted almost every bone in my body, but I have one secret healing spot back home if the clerics can smuggle me in, but having you around is the next best thing.”
Gasp just plodded along in front. Conversation really wasn't a specialty of his, and as such, it tended to keep him out of any group bonding. Still, he'd do what he can. So he sticks to the front with shield ready and sword at his side.
The cobble stone road led through a small forest. You all can see little animals wondering about the woods, and the occasional hunter walking the roads or following tracks. The birds sing atop the trees and glide over you. After an hour, you see in the distance, a large stone with writings on it, along with a few buildings further along. You spot a few people in the distance in a field, watering the plants there.
Gasp will hurry up along with the rest to see this stone writing.
You hurry your pace, bringing yourself closer to the rock. Etched into the stone is Gnome's Rock, along with something else on the bottom of it. Unfortunately you can't decipher what it says on the bottom, perhaps another language.
Crispy walks up to the rock of Gnomes. Her face wrinkles in concentration. “This..is..going..to..hurt.” She turns to the group. “Well. At least it’s honest.”

"Let's hope no one gets too badly wounded, yes?" Karra says, wandering with the others. "Hope the travel is fair, and problems not too dire."

”Onward we go then.” She smiled, forging ahead.

( It'll take like 30 minutes walking, 15 if you run, to get close enough. )
“What is this place?”

As the rest of the group follows Gasp, they see the rock etched with Gnome's Rock. And you cannot read the text under it either.

Ashley belts out a laugh full of mirth. That's not what it says...is it ?

Bennett answers Karra, "I can do both. Up close and personal or far away."
Can Bennett read the words underneath Gnome's Rock? He can read Common and Abyssal.
((Good meme, right guys? Why would a village have random Abyssal language underneath their sign lol))
Kandalou Dle'tan - Level 9 Githyanki Fighter (Champion) - Rrakkma PbP
Karra looks at the rock. "Hmm. Someone write profanity. Best I not translate."
