Thank you both very much for your help, says Hatt. He walks after the others, trying to be as stealthy as he can: Stealth 15. When he catches up, he relays what he learned from the two half orcs.

Relieved that there were torches lining the walls, Aurelia tries to put most of her focus on walking quietly. Easier said than done in her chain mail, of that she was well aware. But at least she had readied herself to strike, should they be ambushed. Hatt's description of the mine remained clear in her mind, and she stayed close to Karra.

Crispy does her best to make sure Aurelia walks this way, talks this way, but yes, the chainmail makes it difficult. She makes a face to the Triton that expresses we shall do the best we can.
While they traverse the entrance to go deeper, Crispy takes a moment to make hand signals at Bennett, something they usually teach in the military when you have to communicate but must keep the element of surprise. She gets his attention, and then makes the hand signals: Can you understand me?
As you all make your way through, the torches lighting your way, you note that the goblins have started to place sticks and ornaments upon the mine's wooden beams. Little skulls and bones littered around the floor and a few weapons and tools are planted into the walls. Karra you see a small figure further in, going around sluggishly, dragging something. As you get closer, Karra can see a few goblins lie in their dugout holes. The one standing is just walking around slowly as it drags a pickaxe, it's tired and doesn't notice you Karra. It's ears perk up as it hears something jingling and clattering. For the rest it is dim light as the last torch was twenty feet ago, but you can see the next one ahead, a dim light in the distance.
(Total goblins you can see 5, including the one standing. The Torches are about 60 feet apart from each other.)
Crispy slowly turns to the group, holding up a fist, and then putting her finger to her lips. You don't need to know secret military sign language to see she's signaling Wait and Quiet. She looks at Bennett, and makes more hand signals:
I'm not one for negotiating with goblins, and we're hired to clear out this mine. Do we just rush in with the element of surprise and slaughter these scumbags? Or do you have any other ideas i'm open to?
Karra scurries back to the others, describing to them in a hushed tone. "Hmm... Goblins seem to be working. One has pickaxe, looks tired. Saw maybe five goblins. Others in hole, maybe sleeping. Maybe graves."
Gasp gives the Gerblins a good stare. He rests his hand on his sword, ready to strike! He wasn’t sure what the others were planning, but no good usually comes from these creatures. Of course, that’s the sort stigma around the Kenku as well.
Hatt stands up on the tips of his toes and tries to whisper loud enough for the group to hear, but not so loud that any of the mine's new inhabitants would notice the sound from down the way. Errrm, does anyone, you know, speak Goblin?Probably should have asked this before, he thinks to himself. And also, I wonder if goblins speak Common?
Karra holds her hand up in a gesture of "stay your blade" to Crispy. "My goblin is little rusty, but know some of many language." He says. "Some goblin know trade tongue, but think base language to them more important."
Aurelia glances at the decorations that grew in numbers the further in they got. That, if any, was a clear sign of goblins. When Karra returned she listened to the gnome's description of what had been spotted further ahead. Her own vision did little to aid her at this distance, and she kept her voice low as she spoke.
"Before doing anything else, should we try and get close enough so that most of us can see the goblins? After deciding what to do if they spot us first, that is."
Bennett whispers very quietly. "The military trained me in one thing: how to kill. The special forces I was in trained me in one thing: how to kill SILENTLY. I doubt we can negotiate with goblins. We are being paid to get rid of them, are we not? Besides, I don't negotiate with goblins." Bennett winks and grins, then realizes no one could probably see him so he goes back to a focused face.
EDIT: ((About how far away are the goblins from us? Can I even see them being a human without darkvision?))

Bennett cracks his neck and knuckles and gets into a low crouch and whispers under his breath, "I've missed this shit..."

Bennett signs back: Yes. Is something wrong?

Crispy thanks the 6th layer for small favors.
Not a thing. Just testing out a theory. Stay frosty.
Bennett smiles and gives a thumbs up. She wanted to make sure I knew the signs, if only she knew all of the secret missions I've done...

(Whoops.) Put my post after what Karra just said. It's early in the morning, I can't read yet. =P Didn't mean to steal your thunder Karra.

"I do not." Crispy admitted. "I do, however, know a language that would clear them out." She spins her blades in her hands to emphasize the point.

"Well, i'm on board with that." Crispy whispers.
