Patiently waiting for Karra and Crispy, she focused on any sounds that might suggest danger. Soon the human returned, and the information of two additional figures aside from the hobgoblins troubled her. Yet she wasn't surprised, and Aurelia fell into step behind Crispy. "Lead the way."
While you are too far to hear them, you can follow them. They move towards the mine's entrance, following the torches as you all did. They come upon the entrance and are stopped by the two half orcs, the same who opened up the mine. The group stops in front of them and the cloaked one steps forward.
Hatt listens to Crispy's account with growing concern. Why are these people headed out towards the village? They clearly have another way in - the way they came with the goblins. Are they planning to attack the miners? As his mind races through these and other questions, he catches up with Aurelia and walks next to her. Either they found what they are looking for, or they didn't because the miners already found it and took it, he says. The overseer and his people could be in a lot of danger.
Before any reply comes, they arrive at the entrance and the encounter between the two half-orc guards and the Mysterious Four, as they are now called in Hatt's mind.
((Sorry for the small absence, was busy with family stuff))
Bennett nods in agreement with Crispy, "That may be right. You said that they saw you but didn't react? Interesting..." He starts to scratch his head in thought.
((Also, I'm assuming we haven't gotten the benefits of a short rest yet?))
( Correct on the short rest since they started to move while you guys began to rest. )
They appear to talk for a moment and the half orcs nod and move out of their way. The mysterious four continue on.
(I'm assuming that Gasp is also with Hatt. And just need an update on how everyone is positioned. Cause it seems like Karra is leading the group since he can see the four and is relaying the info.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Ah, so they didn't walk into the party. Good)
Karra will keep an eye on the scenario above, attempting to discern whether the half-orcs were in on this or not, or even if they were just persuaded to be allies just now.
The half orcs appear unfazed and are still looking into the mine. You can't tell if they were hostile to the four or friendly to them, They have not closed it off with the boulder. The four make their way out of your view, apparently heading into the village.
Hatt isn't sure he quite likes the way that Crispy said 'questioning' - in fact, he's rather sure he doesn't. But she's not wrong, he admits to himself. We need answers. Dear Goddess, what have we blundered into? He mutters a prayer, and hopes that She is listening, but feels that She is very far away right now. Then he speaks up:
I think I want to talk to those two guards at the entrance. Well, the one who's able to form sentences, at least. They might tell us what's going on. Or attack us on sight, he thinks but doesn't say. He tries to remember the specifics of the brief conversation he had with the pair of half-orcs when they entered the mine, but is fairly sure that there was no mention of a gang of hobgoblins and a mysterious cloaked mastermind. That kind of detail tends to stick in the memory.
What do you think? he asks the others, not keen to go on alone without agreement from the party.
"I agree with you Hatt. They cared little about leaving the crypt unattended whilst knowing that we were near, that must mean they see us as no threat to that place. That they could so easily leave the mine without causing a fuss if troubling. Either they are working together in some way, or that party of four had means of letting them pass in more unnatural ways. Regardless, I think it is in our interest to see where they are heading."
(I guess Karra would return to the others since there is no imminent peril at the entrance)
"Hmm, the half-orcs let them pass, yes?" Karra explains to the others. "Not tell if from agreement or intimidated. Too far. Hmm, maybe check where they were, find more clues, yes? Not prospected area, might tell what they were here for. If half-orcs in on it, might want to stop us leaving."
Crispy listens to the others. So much talk, so little action. He sighs, perhaps a little too loudly.
"Bennett." She says, trying to remain calm and not sarcastic. "You're a talker. Go do your thing. If things go sour, and I kind of hope they do, i'll be right next to you. Those guys are most likely in on it, or much, much stupider than they look. Either way, I wanna know, because something isn't right."

"Or they are in league together. I've seen it before. I wouldn't be too surprised." Crispy whispers.

"Yes." She says, "That could be good..or bad."

(That's all you can tell from your distance.)
"I knew it." Crispy grumbles. "They're in on it." She takes a moment to compose herself. "Time for some more..questioning."
Lets group up again and either:
1. Go down and check out the crypt area we saw them first, or
2. Follow them and find out what the Hells is going on.
((Gasp is with Hatt and Aurellia! He's not of great use for the social stuff at the moment haha))
Ashley should be with Aurellia, Hatt and Gasp.

If they let the let the mystery man and his hobgoblins pass, they might know more.

I agree with most of what Crispy said. Ashley says a quick prayer to the Morninglord and give Bennett some Guidance
