Heidi: “The middle man was someone we trusted, his name is Tarane, a teifling, he is the one who usually is contacted us for small jobs in Melvaunt.”, she mumbles, the she suddenly raises her head up and looks to the sky and says “This was our first big job, 10000 GP for each of us. We would be set for life, no more chasing other people tails and waiting in hunger as we wait for the next job to come. I should have known it was to good to be true!”, as she wails and tears start pouring out of her eyes.
Nilavor comes out of the carriage, he steps down with grace and elegance. “I should have know they wouldn’t have employed anyone too dangerous. Cowards all of them.”, a deep unfamiliar voice came from him. Gone was the look of ignorance and now his eyes held a look of pride superiority as he stared down at the assassin.
”I would like to propose a new deal your group”, he gestures to all of you, “Now that some secrets have been revealed i think a restatement to our arrangement should be gone about. I you would like to leave I would prefer you leave now before I reveal anything.”

Teresa finally feels relieved after Heidi healed Vadania.( Though she flinches at the pain that the paladin inflicts on him) Fjörn's great performance inspires her and helps her relax, restoring her calm demeanour.
@Fjörn
"Of course, we will share the loot together. This victory belongs to all of us," says the cleric girl, placing her hand on Vadania to ease his pain.
@Vadania
"Please, take this. It will help ease your discomfort," Teresa offers the Elf ranger a painkiller she brought from the temple.
@Nilavor
"I won't leave your side, Master Nilavor. Not when I know you're in grave danger. Please, tell us everything you can. We need as much information as possible to protect ourselves,"
The wood elf takes the salve from the human, "Bless you, Lady Greenhill." He gingerly applies the salve to the two inflammed, yet healed over wounds and sighs as the numbing agent kicks in.
When the Nilavor emerges from the carriage and begins speaking, the wood elf straightens and adjusts his weapons.
Heidi is about to respond to Fjörn, when the prisoner starts to divulge further information, as if on cue. “She may indeed, have more to share.” The interrogator notes the bare blade, however makes no move to stay the soldier’s hand, should he follow through with his obvious intent.
To Nilavor’s offer, she replies: “You have observed my methods of procuring information, and decided to be more forthcoming. Splendid. I am listening.”
The paladin’s eyes narrow in disapproval, at the application of the numbing salve.“I prefer nettles, myself.”
Nilavor sighs and runs a hand through his hair, “I appreciate the sentiment Lady Greenhill, but I noticed that maybe not all of you share that sentiment. And Lady Hicks, don’t think your measly whip can intimidate the likes of me, I may not have been out here to see you use it but that doesn’t mean I would have been, as you see I have experienced much more pain than a crude roadside interrogation.”
He then looks around and walks over to assassin 2 “Once Lady Hicks’ interrogation is over I have a deal to make with you. I shall give you 25,000 GP on arrival of Melvaunt if you become my shadow till we get out of my ordeal. Once the ordeal is over I shall give you 5000 more GP for your silence and agreement that you will not attack anyone dear to me again.” He stretches out his hand towards the assassin,” Are we in agreement?”
“Vadania!?” Teresa exclaimed, uncertain of the Elf ranger's intentions. However, she was confident that Vadania wouldn't push down people without reason. Kneeling beside the ranger and the noble, Teresa held her shield high, ready to protect them both.
Vadania rushes towards Nilavor and pushes him down. Noticing this Teresa joins him in protecting the noble but the the dart flew just short of hitting the noble. Assassin 2 lay there paralysed body on the ground slightly twitching and from the trees an elf appears, his long black hair shining in the sun and his skin glowing. The only visible blemish is on his face, a light scar running across the corner of his lip on the left side.
”Thank goodness I came in time Young Lord, that assassin was about to kill you after she took you hand. Let me introduce myself, I am Vulmon Zinhorn, I was hired by your father to protect you young master.”, he says with a smirk on his face and a gleam in his eyes.
If you want, you have 3 attempts to save the Assassin. She has around 10 minutes to live (in game).
Fjörn the old disabled soldier kneels down beside the paralyzed assassin, whispers in her ear, “Our Whiplass paladin may be remiss if you were allowed to die.”
The Assassin gasps finally being to properly breath again. She laid down there breathing in deep breaths sweat dribbling down her forehead, "thank you for saving me, thank you so much!! ", she cries out as tears stream down her face.
Vulmon looks over as chuckles to himself, “Quite the group you’ve procured, young master. They actually saved some one that was out to kill you. Do you now see that you can’t trust these strangers. Leave them sire, I’ll take you back safe and sound.”
Nilavor walks over to the man and puts his hand on his shoulder, “Shocking Grasp”, he whispers, electricity from the tip of his fingers stun Vulmon. “Lets this be a warning to you, I am the one in charge here. I don’t care if my father sent you here, though I doubt it was him, when you are with me you shall abide by what I say.”, Nilavor says in a frigid voice as he stares at the man twitching on the ground.
”One of tie this man up! I shall give you the pleasure of interrogating him Lady Hill. Let’s see what you can do.”, he then walks over to Assassin 2 and Fjörn.
”Job well done young bard.”, he says as he pats Fjörn on the back inspecting your work.
“ I am sorry, Master Vulmon…” Teresa speaks softly, her gaze shifting to check if the assassin is still alive. “But my mentor taught me not to trust someone who shoots darts before introducing themselves. Please do not resist. Otherwise, we will have to take more extreme measures.” As she restrains the Elf, she observes his muscle and eye movements, trying to discern if he was being truthful.
Heidi is quite certain that the assassin targeted by this Vulmon, posed no immediate threat, and was therefore being silenced. She is about to act on this assumption, when Nilavor himself takes the initiative to do so. She looks down at the elf twitching on the ground, this time with approval in her eyes.
”Vulmon Zimhorn, if that is indeed your name… You are an assassin and a liar, of which I seem to have a surplus. Speak truth, or suffer the consequences.”
As Teresa makes to bind the elf, Heidi summons the dominance of Loviatar into her voice, and Commands:“Submit!”(Wisdom Save vs DC 13 or obey Command for 1 round).
Lost in a tinkering frenzy under the carriage, Cyrano pays just enough attention to what's transpiring with the others to know he is currently unneeded. All anyone hears from him is the occasional clink, pop, bang, accompanied with gnomish curse word or two.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fjörn’s passive perception 12 can pick up the smug lie of Vulmon Zimhorn, “Please sir don’t insult our ability to discern your lies, your breathing eyes nostrils and posturing betray you! Continue down this path and Loviatar may have your soul. Only the truth will set you free.”
(OOC: Teresa was trying to restrain the elf. Heidi was attempting (unsuccessfully) to ensure the elf complied. How did this play out? Is the elf allowing himself to be restrained, or is he resisting? Or was he already bound by Teresa, while he was still twitching on the ground)?

No struggle, as Vulmon would say “why struggle when it would only cause more suspicion.”

While this was happening Vadania notices a glint of light in the tree line, something like a blow dart aiming at either Nilavor or the assassin.
What will you do?
Vadania spies a glint of light from the tree line... metal? spy glass? Either way, he was already running into action.
Without another thought, the wood elf sprinted toward Nilavor intending to bowl him over 'with force'. ATHLETICS: 17 STRENGTH: 20
