Elero - From having read the All-Purpose Tool write up, it can only turn into a kind of Artisan's Tools, so unless you can think of a way that will help, I don't think you can make it turn into a key for a specific lock.
Elero frowns at the lock. "All-Purpose, my skinny a--" Then he sighs and puts it back in his pocket. "I should be grateful to Master Yosgrim," he mutters, while keeping an eye out. Can he check to see if the lock requires anything magical, or if he thinks Thieves' Tools will work on it? There'll be time for shopping before the party if they leave soon.
"As you wish madam." Mark will stay bowed as he walks backward slowly until the door closes. When the door closes, he will look for a bathroom hoping to grab a glass of warm water. Mark will then move to the treasure spot.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mark is unable to find a bathroom around, although he would have noticed in the other guest rooms that they all had ensuite. He and Kit can keep trying to find water, or go and meet up with the others in the statue room.
Elero can try to use Theives's Tools, but not while Erix is in the mechanism as a spider.
Erix crawls into the lock and finds a very complex bronze locking mechanism. From his perspective as a spider, he sees that he could probably push his way through if he tried:
DC 10 Athletics Check to try to get through hole (as a Spider): 12
Elero hears the sounds coming from the ballroom now. Interestingly, it sounds like yelling and fighting now; steel on steel.
Erix is able to push through the lock and comes out on the other side of the door. Inside he sees a small but well equipped treasure room. Gold and gems litter the room, as well as a few curious items. On the far east wall he sees a flat glass screen surrounded by purple light, which is how this room is lit.
He also notices next to the door a pull handle, presumably here to open the door from the inside in case of emergency.
And Elero doesn't currently own Thieves' Tools, which was an oversight on his part, but he'll go acquire some if they live through whatever's happening in the ballroom.
"Guys," he'll Message Mark, "it sounds like there's a battle going on downstairs, which, given our mission, may actually be a good distraction, if we don't get killed by it. We might need to either get through this lock or get out of here quickly."
Erix wonders for a moment if there could be an alarm inside, or if the design it self would have been deemed save enough?

(Just thought i'd point out a miscommunication here. You are on the ground level of the building, the same level as the ballroom. You did go upstairs to the greenhouse at one point but came back down when guards came out around a corner.)
Erix looks around the room and doesn't see anything indicating a secret alarm. The lever seems safe to pull.
Mark and Kit walk into the statue room and see Elero standing next to the secret door.

You look around the room and see lot's of gold coins and gems, as well as very expensive looking art objects. One of the gems is very big and important looking. You do not see any helmets. Elero also notices the flat glass surface with the purple light around it.
Elero would like to examine that surface, without touching it initially, but he'll pick it up and mess with it if he has to. Is it a mirror, or just a piece of glass?
"Since this isn't what we're looking for, we should take or leave whatever we want, and get out of here quickly, before whatever's happening in the ballroom below causes some kind of general alarm."

Mark has no luck finding anything in the room, the purple light from the glass clearly isn't enough to light the whole room. Elero looks at the glass and tries to work out what it is, Investigation: 12
The glass is connected to some kind of arcane technology embedded in the wall. But beyond that fact Elero cannot find anything to tell him what the glass actually does.
As you search the treasure room, the noises from the ballroom get much louder for an instant and then you hear the sound of a heavy door closing, followed by banging at said door. Fast footsteps, then a shocked, "Huh? It's open!" Then a man runs into the room.
Vishtai, the Kalashtar majordomo to Alden Orien stands before you. Blood running from his forehead and clearly more messy than he was last time you saw him 30 minutes ago in the ballroom. He looks at you all incredibly surprised, "You! What are you all doing here? Are you a part of this assault as well?" The sound of bashing on the door get's louder and he makes a calculation to himself, "Probably not hey, probably worth the risk." He turns to the lever and slams the secret door shut.
Then he turns to you again, "So answer me. What are you all doing in here?"

"Amazing." Elero enters the chamber. "Well done. And maybe also a good hiding place if we need it. Is what we're after in here?"
